  • Does your skin feel like it's going to rip open because of tight scar tissue? These tips are uniuqe because they do not require you to massage or apply expensive scar creams. Thank you, I had an ORIF done on my distal radius 6 weeks ago and the scar is stiff by the joint like you mentioned. I’m going to try the K-tape on top of stretching and massaging. All of your videos have helped me a lot in my recovery🙏

Wow, thank you Michelle! This is exactly what I needed, and I'm so grateful for this information. I can't wait to try these techniques. I'm seeing an ortho surgeon this morning, who hopefully clears me for OT. ETA: No surgery needed - I'm cleared for OT - was told it's tight tissue causing the contracture, the wound was directly over the DIP joint. I did the gliding exercise and it worked!! I'm going to incorporate these into my daily routine.

Thank you so much Doc. A cat recently cut me up pretty bad and it seems like my finger healed up well but I can definitely feel the scar. Feels like a bump and it’s preventing me from flexing my finger in.

Hi ! I burned my hand quite badly on 31st Dec 2023, 2nd degree burns. I am currently dealing with the process of healing but I have a very tight scar on my middle finger palm side, over the joint. Would the suggestions in this video work for scars palm side of hand? Or could you direct me to a video you’ve made that I should watch? The scar is tight and I cannot quite get my finger to straighten without pain.

@@kelebek2818 hi! I'm around the 3 month mark in healing and it still tender, I have to work for it to fully straighten and it still swelling up from time to time but the healing process can take up to a year so I'm hopeful. Sorry about you accident I never realized how painful and inconvenient stitches in your hand could be.

@@denisecross4586Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it cause I get no reply from anyone else on CZcams with similar problems. My physio told me it could possibly take up to 18mnths doing these exercises plus the tight scar problems in this great video 😢. At one point, I asked to have my pinky amputated....dramatic i know! But i was so fed up!!😢 . However, there's hope and I'm feeling my pinky is moving more than 5mths ago. Xx

I broke my right elbow ice skating seven weeks ago. I am 69. My hand is still swollen. I cannot make a fist or turn my palm upwards. It stays in the neutral position. I have no strength to do anything with my fingers. I am right handed, and cannot write, eat, do my hair in a ponytail, or use my right arm at all. It will not bend to my mouth or my head.
