Recently I put out a tweet asking you what the most annoying things in the game are, and then decided to make a video compiling them all into one place for your viewing displeasure.

It’s the worst when you’re farming boss materials to ascend a character but you only get two drops every single time even though you’re at the highest world level…
I've never gotten 3 talent materials from Scaradouche despite fighting him every week (I'm AR60). Made triple crowning Nahida take a bit longer than expected

@@alexprus7953 do you know what's more painful? i was farming scara boss for 4-5 weeks since his banner for my wanderer talent and guess what? majority of them drops the 2 other materials instead the one for my scara. I have to use my dream solvents which are limited for some of them to get my wanderer talents to 9-9-9. like sometimes RNG can be cruel for me

Tip for you: If you're just about to run out of stamina, you can jump and sometimes make it. The extra meter or so you can get from it has saved me countless times.

don’t forget that moment when you’re REALLY not in the mood to fight anything, and you try your best to sneak around the enemies, but they STILL somehow see you and start chasing after you and then you cant talk to the npc you were trying to get to until you get OUT of combat, so you run away but accidentally walk into another group of enemies and-

Bro this reminds me of when I didn’t wanna start Kokonut’s story quest and every time I went to the ley line at Watatsumi, Gorou would be like “TRAVELLER. FIGHT THESE FATUI. PRETTY PLEASE”

A few things I hate
- When you jump down to a quest but before you can get the windglider out the quest starts and your character dies
- High Ping
- being left outside of the domain
- being healer with teammates who are under leveled
- When people leave the domain in the middle of the fight just because we didn't kill it fast enough
- when I want to coop a domain and join someone else's world and I get host
- When I just loaded in and see the the invite run out, the host doesn't send it again and they get into the domain without me
- the enemies take longer to load for me so I just awkwardly stand there a few seconds while my teammates are already fighting
- When my world loads to slowly and I fall thru the map or get stuck under it
- People bringing Bennett in the Raiden Shogun fight and everyone dies to overload
- People who bring elements that you shouldn't bring in domains so we all get hit with the wave and die
I feel you.

Almost all of these are related to coop lol
I once went into that damn Cryo domain and all the other 3 players decided to bring in Dendro characters...literally the ONLY element that has no reactions with Cryo. So surprise surprise, they all died very quickly and I was left all alone trying to complete a domain all by myself with only a Bennett.
The most rage I've felt is when I got stuck to some walls without a shield or a healer. Let's just say my keyboard wasn't having a great day when that happen.
The accidentally using bursts hits hard, especially on mobile, since when your burst is up, you can tap the burst button to automatically switch to the character and use their burst. Which means if you're not careful, you can easily misclick and use a character's burst instead of switching to them.
I do it whenever i have to switch apps (usually when i am checking interactive map) so i slide up but accidentally touch the burst.
The one at 1:17 pains me not because he ran out of stamina, but because he didn't hit space bar again to get over the mountain.
Surprisingly I'm not as annoyed at things in this video, especially the Crit and Paimon parts. Eng Paimon isn't annoying me so there's that, and since I know my luck sucks idc if I don't Crit(same if I lose 50/50,I only get annoyed if I did 60-80 wishes and lost.)
But I ducking hate it when I load into co op and get instantly kicked or I load in and everyone goes into domain without me, because they didn't bother to wait a minute or two until I load💀 It's even worst when they just continue the domain instead of leaving and going in with me this time around. Seriously people can't imagine that not everyone has perfect loading speed? Or that someone else's Internet can effect your loading speed too? If you're going to bring people to your world then make sure everyone is ready to go or just don't bring randoms into your world 🤷♀️
Nah what you do when they start without you is to go steal all their mats. Clearly, they don't care if you're in their world unsupervised, they should be punished for that!

That's why when I'm hosting the world for domains, I always wait till I see everyone either walk or attack before going in
it doesn’t take too long to leave if they don’t wait for you it really sucks tho like can’t people see they one of their team members is missing?? but i do hate it more when the people rage quit like they CANNOT EVEN WAIT FOR THIER TEAMMATES TO FINISH THE DOMAIN AS SOON AS THEY DIE THEY LEAVE. SO THEN EVERYONE ELSE HAS TO LEAVE THE DOMAIN AND THEN WAIT FOR ANOTHER PLAYER TO MATCH
the crystal fly one is the reason i run out of crystal flies every few days
artifact load outs would be nice. Also increase the condensed resin max to ten already hoyoverse. The thing that probably bothers me the most is that weekly bosses cost resin at all. They are already timegated.

the worst time waiting is when it waiting for a specific time two days later, like 8 am, and you're in a different time. you maximize the clock to two days and it still doesn't activate bc its not 8 am.
Loved the editing and the background music, and depressed Stanley lifting up his head 50+ times in the video, hahaha!
Some of the most annoying things not already mentioned: always having to teleport to one of the cities to craft resin; accidentally climbing whatever is blocking my way; the same upbeat music anytime when visiting Monstadt to craft/talk to Katherine, etc. (love Genshin music but too much is too much); always out of mora (I enjoy developing characters but leveling up characters and artifacts literally makes me a real life Mona). And... one word: violetgrass. Just seeing one makes me relieve the painful memories all over again. (Qiqi main here :')) Also my favorite: when Diluc's fire bird misses the target.
Video idea: favorite things in Genshin? E.g. one of my favorite themes is Azhdaha's battle theme and I enjoy fighting him for that reason! Also, love his cute chunky feet when he stomps them :'D
Oh boy, a lot of these were super accurate (especially the Eula one since I main her), but if I had to name off a few more, I would say...
-Teleporting to a node to get somewhere and ending up underground somehow.
-Sucrose/Dori/Albedo/Eula/Xingqiu not giving you extra stuff when you craft.
-THE WEAPON BANNER IN IT'S ENTIRETY.
-Enemies dying before Eula's burst goes off.
-Enemies NOT dying when Eula's burst goes off.
-Enemies dying from the initial hit of Raiden's burst.
-Arenas that prevent the existence of Geo constructs, thus completely neutering characters like Ningguang and Albedo.
-Being unable to progress dialogue during a conversation because the currently talking character is in the middle of an animation.
-Dialogue halting entirely because you have to press the dialogue option.
-Dialogue options being ENTIRELY POINTLESS.
-PAIMON'S VOICE.
-People that don't know the mechanics of a weekly boss.
At least the waypoint issue is fixed
Tips for the Mondstadt talent books domain: (ofc not for spells or swords only)
Bring Diona or Layla, Bennett, Xiangling, and an electro DPS (unless you have Xiangling built really well, then this is just an electro character flex spot)
When the two cryo abyss mages spawn in, go towards the entrance. They will teleport to you pretty quickly and usually, right next to each other. Bennett's burst followed by Xiangling's burst usually breaks their shields instantly. Then just go to town with your electro character to overload a bunch. Don't worry about set bonuses. Just stack EM, ER, and ATK (HP for Diona/Layla)
When it's two slimes and one abyss mage, go for the slimes first
Only use Bennett and Xiangling's bursts at the very beginning and at the 3rd phase. Also walk towards the middle slime, wait for the other two to surround you (and apply your shield when you're doing that) Bennnett burst, Xiangling burst, electro
If your electro spot is Beidou, Xiangling is going to be your on field character
Frequency of voice lines! Some characters - a good example is Ayaka and Ayato - have lines so long that by the time they finish saying them, their "say something" cooldown is reset and they launch right into another voice line.
Quest dependencies and the inability to abandon quests is probably the biggest mald for me. Doubly so if it's intertwined. Oh, I want to do archon quests - nope, can't, gotta do Nilou's quest to progress it. Okay, so I'll just finish Nilou's quest so it'll be out of the way, and then - nope, gotta do archon quest to progress. Sure, I took two steps in archon quest, the story's pretty good - annnd back to Nilou. Repeat ad nauseum.

Needing to switch teams but not being able to because there is an enemy nearby. The enemy is up on a cliff and you don’t have a bow character so you have to climb to get it.

i know that this is a joke video but i still thought id tell you cause you were using yun jin with your c6 nilou: her "infusion" counts only as skill dmg. so she is not effected by yun jin's normal attack buff
idk id you even actually use them with each other but better safe than sorry
Oh I know. I brought her just to apply geo for the wolf, and she can help Koko get out more attacks with her burst sincce Yun Jin is C6.
Those aren't my "usual" teams for abyss, I kinda just through some characters together to get to 12-2 for that clip

The first one angers me, but what angers me more is the "A character is busy with another quest" message. Like who cares if they are busy, this quest is literally on the opposite side of the map, let me start it!
Also auto targeting killed Xiangling in Dragonspine once.
3:19 I absolutely hate the fact that they put wolf lord in this abyss because it's not going to die quick unless you do an absurd amount of damage or have a 3 or more geo charters on your team
It literally forces anyone to use geo and ranged characters which some of them are really lacking in. this fuckin boss made me use my really not well-built geo characters just to tear down the skulls, even with it i can't score 3 star on it.
The accidentally using bursts is the wORST!! Especially for me personally, i have to play using a controller or else my hands fall asleep, so there's no button press that i can do to automatically use burst when i switch in a character, so i have to hit the button to switch and then immediately use burst, and like so often (especially in abyss) i'll just use the burst of my current character instead of the one im switching to, and its like "awesome, Raiden just completely wasted her burst when i was trying to switch to Xingqiu to use his... 👍"
1:16 if you hit the jump button near a ledge, the active character will grab it
also plunging before hitting the ground negates fall damage
i believe you can’t plunge if you don’t have stamina.
some pro tips i accidentally discovered myself and i will tell it to you:
1. [climbing tip] when ur stamina is like 1% and u almost make it to the mountain u can just space/ jump to get up and yea its pretty helpful for getting up a mountain ahahah or just use stamina food if you have
2. when u encounter a hydro abit sus mage, you can just use dendro to break the shield as fast as lightning ahaha take that stupid abit sus mage.
3. do all quest before u do another quest. this saves a lot of time if ur lazy. for example: do every new quest that comes out before a quest that is locked behind that quest.
4. [another climbing tip if u encounter any sliding mountains] u can plunge a bit on the mountain and attack until ur stamina gets up. Ur attacks will make u stay on the mountain and u wont fall from it. unless u stop attacking
5. if any character that can leap into the air/ teleport into mid air, you can easily get crystalflies. very pro tip is you get the crystal flies before you even need it
6. using burst during invincibility/attacking mode is pretty helpful actually. it prevents ur character from taking any dmg.
7. always use foodbuffs when its necessary. whether you can't defeat an enemy, or you're doing a showcase, just use the foodbuff. doesnt hurt to do it, right? except for spiral abyss sadly
8. if you cant do a spiral abyss enemy, or you just keep dying, you could always try again next time. build up more stronger characters, eventually you'll beat it someday. but being too lazy wont get you anywhere. but its fine, you can play your own style anyways.
9. surprise cutscenes... its fine, you could wait for the cutscene to be done, or just skip dialogue. but as mentioned as tip 3, always do quests before doing something else.
10. always pay attention to what the quest says during "time changing" stuff. you might wait too long and you have to wait again.
i think thats about all the tips i can give for now, hahah its a list. hope you find this helpful
And don't forget all the rng based achievements for daily commissions! Week1 player here, I still have 0% in the "snezhnaya does not believe in tears" series. Also literally only finished the "ring of raining blades" last week. It's impossible to be a completionist in this game
Idea for the next video: reading/watching history and lore of the game and reacting to it. I don’t know much about the lore and it would be great to learn about it with you))

Game: Oh I heard you needed 3 a while ago, here, now you can ascend the character and forever hold a single wasted boss drop :)))))
Same with crafting materials, they only give you bonus drops AFTER you craft the final material needed :)))))))))
actually i'm really curious about the RNG of the drop between 2 and 3 in the world highest level. is it 50/50 or a really reaching between 50/50 until the absurd 25/75 between 3 and 2 drops?
@Danish 2.0 Honestly, I wish I knew too, man. Someone on the internet must have figured that out by now though. But given genshin, if they don't state likewise, it's usually 50/50 :,)
If you are near the top of a cliff and it's one of your characters up and you're about to run out of stamina you can jump up all the way without dying
I hate how so many things are locked behind long quests/multiple quests. It makes you just want to go and do something else.

Realizing that the talent/weapon ascension domain being the day before I wanted to farm it
One of my biggest pain in playing Genshin now is playing catching up. I'm so behind on Archon Quests, story quests and what not. And yet with every new patch, there's usually now the common 2-4 hours event story quests. It hurts that I am the type to read everything slowly to get the feel of the story.
Just a "few" of my least favorite things
-Paimon constantly getting us into unnecessary fights because she won't just shut up and let us talk instead
-HYV slapping Noblesse onto almost every trial character
-The Bloom pods being able to hurt you too when they pop/electro enemies being able to cause Hyperbloom reactions and attacking you with your own pods you just made
-Gorou being the only Geo character that can't break rocks/Geo constructs (yes I'm aware you can break them with his skill, I just don't want to)
-Characters who's skill and burst are essentially just the same thing (Barbara, Gorou, Fischl, Yao Yao, etc.)
-Artifact sets that are obviously meant to be used on one specific character
-Dungeon-style domains giving element recommendations, but not telling you about a specific weapon type that's required to continue (Amber's domain needing you to use specifically a pyro bow character, or most if not all the Aranyaka domains needing a bow for the Dendroculus)
-Fungus enemies dropping different items depending on whether or not you used Pyro or Electro
-Spectres in general
-Bleed damaging the whole team instead of just the active character
-Locking the pets, certain gadgets, and even some weapons behind limited events
-HYV making Aloy the only character without any constellations
-Geo Traveler's stupid boulders
-Only designing signature weapons for 5* characters (with the exception of Fischl's bow)
-System specific gear (Playstation having a unique glider and two weapons you can't use on PC)
-Characters being strong in canon but being kinda weak as a playable character (Ningguang being able to drop a whole building and the floating rocks it's attached to onto a God to send it back under the ocean, but as a character she just kinda slowly throws rocks at enemies until they die. Or Gorou being a general that's fought several battles and has years of combat experience, but he's really just kinda there to make other Geo characters stronger and only good in a Geo only team. And I doubt any of us will ever forget anytime soon what they did to our girl Dehya the badass merc)
-Not giving Aether/Lumine alternate costumes despite being the MC's of the entire game
-The Adventurer's Notebook only giving you a small handful of locations for the enemy you're trying to track for materials
That's just SOME of the things that I don't like, and I didn't even talk about all the issues with co-op
Still a 10/10 game though
This truly captures all the pain of your average genshin player.
One of the things I hate the most is in co-op. When you are the last to load into the domain and the host starts the challenge before you could be reach the stage. And now you're locked out.
Not being able to hide notifications like Bennetts activation of C6 really triggers my OCD.

This isnt that big of a thing but whenever there is a lot of items near a cooking pot it always starts off on selecting the pot

One thing that really made me slap my keyboard recently is getting 2*s at a 6: 59 cleartime in Abyss and having to start the whole damn thing over again for the 3rd star. I did it TWICE in 12-3 this past Abyss. So annoying because sometimes it just gives it to you so you wanna push til the last second, but nope. Had to waste more time going all the way up instead of being able quickly redo the chamber
Of the ones in the video, I’d say “want 3, get 2” which is 100% guaranteed to occur and quest shenanigans make me the most mad. Nothing can ever go just right with quests in this game. Most recently I started entering the new desert section without even starting the Dirge quest with Kathy and the game decided to just skip that and throw me into a cutscene without context. Like c’mon I just wanna do some casual exploring leave me be.
I typically don’t end up with too many stuck NPCs cuz I try to keep up with most quests, but I remember malding so hard back in 2.6 for the Inazuma festival event because my progress kept getting stuck between that, Yae’s quest, and Ayato’s quest. It got so bad that Paimon herself got confused and started mashing the different quest dialogues together which resulted in such a jarring tonal whiplash.
I have no idea why they haven’t fixed this shit yet. If we say navigate to the quest, it should be fully prioritized until it is completed or we choose to track to another quest. I’m sure I’m not the only one who asked them to work on that in feedback. But I think that’s just part of what everyone’s biggest annoyance with the game is: Hoyo ignoring the things players have asked for for years in order to prioritize the most trivial stuff.

I always appreciate your content, especially the editing.
However for this video I think it would be better for the comedic timing if you removed all the text/ title card or made it appeared after the clip instead of in-between the clip.

i pretty much finished every quest i could encounter lol even the new ones
i really really enjoy world quests and i wish there was more of them! i think best thing about genshin is the map and i love exploring the world with world quests!

For some reason I expected this to be a compilation of things made by players, by mistake or specifially to annoy others (like wasting a good +20 artifact on leveling up a worse one, resin at 500+, building crit Kokomi, things like that) but I guess you already had phys Kazuha and hydro Qiqi which is a pretty high bar for strange things to do in Genshin 😄
when your the leader of a coop team and forget to go back to single player mode

I especially hate type of situation in which I’m rn.
You see, I would like to do the Lantern night event. But bcs of ONE ALMOST MEANINGLESS NPC THAT HAS LIKE THREE LINES I can’t, because by coincidence they are currently involved in other quest. And that quest is super long.
So my motivation to do that event 📉

bro no matter how many times unlocking new character story quests gate keeps me from doing archon quests, i still unlock them because i NEVER LEARN MY LESSON 😭
The forgetting to hit deploy one hurt me on a personal level.
it is painful when I have completed the entire sumeru questline but to claim free fates I have to do that chasm quest

Completely agree with everything but the Quest. They are my favourite part so I’ve done them all. Don’t have multiple accounts tho. (I’m free to use as storyplaying assistant for anyone hating dialogue btw)

0:08 it's me because Ima started doing last quest for that - Raiden quest act 2 a mount ago. But there was a barier because I didnt leveled up Sakura, but Ima doing it and still that barrier exist.
I'm sad because of that.

What annoys me the most is sometimes when one character in my party dies while i'm fighting a boss, the boss will reset. Why.
You think having characters busy during a quest
Try having a whole ass Area occupied
It happened to me during the sumeru archon quest and the place occupied wasn’t even in the quest
when you play wanderer and all these enemies are hitting you when he’s flying and you can’t move 😭
i dont have good shield characters 😭😭
My least fav thing abt genshin is the fact that as a new player I have to do so many weeklies just to level up a characters talent especially with no dream solvents

You need to click on everyone's stories and voice overs that's why I do that everytime I get a new character and it's a pain😭

So I was finishing up my dailies 2 minutes before reset like I always do, and as I went up to Katheryne in Liyue, I triggered a cutscene. This happened too many times so I got so desperate that I just begged for time powers, or just more time. And low and behold, daylight savings saved me 5/40th of a wish by giving me an extra hour. Except that it DIDN’T because after the cutscene I was greeted with two things - the welkin moon, and depression.
*when the character jumps in a high place, lands in a cutscene then dies.
*when you finally have a good artifact but rolls badly 😭
*tatara tales or quests where you cannot finish it in 1 day (adjusting the clock doesn’t work)

Sliding off cliffs with no way to stop has to be one of the most infuriating things in this game, and it's gotten worse in Sumeru. The only sliding I wanna see is sliding a knife across the throat of whichever detriment to the world decided to design it like that. Seriously, the world is better off without people like that

By far what annoys me the most is getting an artifact that looks amazing, and then it rolls all into the stat i didn't need and ends up useless despite being incredible before leveling
I write this as an opinion. I'm not telling Java how to do their job or that their content is bad. I see something that could be improved on and hope that I can maybe help.
The parts with text often breaks the pacing of the video. It does get the point across, but most of the things in the video could probably benefit more from showing than telling. Like with being Frozen from Barbara's skill or trapped in the Hydro Abyss Mage's bubbles. Getting incapacitated and then a close-up of the button on the side that you need to mash along with audio of a keyboard getting spammed would work better in my opinion. Repeat that two more times (with an exasperated sigh) and the frustration is apparent without needing to voice over everything.
The part with Stanley drinking his problems away with accompanying text works in concept, but gets repetitive. Maybe have images that correlate with the scenario, like a low-opacity Barbara in an ice cube. Having it before the set-up will clue other Genshin players in on what'll happen next rather than telling them outright. This video is made by a Genshin player and for Genshin players. Having the hint and realization from context clues and seeing the expected (and dreaded) scene play out is a better payoff than just saying what happens in the middle of it all.
Credit where credit is due, the set-up and payoff for the scenarios do work very well. Explaining the setting (almost at the top of a cliff, needing a certain amount of materials from a limited pool of resin, etc) in this video feels natural, like our own inner thoughts. The punchlines are also pretty good, though sometimes it runs on for a bit too long.
I feel weird for writing this on such a fun video, but I also feel like I should say something and give my feedback as a viewer. However, if this is just a fun project Java wanted to do, or if my suggestions aren't the direction they want to take their channel's content, or if they simply don't want to spend even more time and effort staring at a screen to edit a video so that one random person on the internet who wrote a ridiculously long comment on a silly 10 minute video is satisfied, then that is completely fine. As long as they are doing what they love and love what they are doing, then that's enough.
