well well well first time i've seen this and i worked for them as a backline tech(thats me with the long hair fixing the drums in walking with jesus) 25 years ago seems like only 20 haha.Best period of the band back then too imho we had a few laughs then.Paddy on lights, dave guitar tech can't remember who did sound then but John Glynn on sax as well.
Darrel, I can't remember who did foh either, & it was a shame we were on-stage so early as Paddy had little influence with his lights!
I miss this Spiritualized so much
I am amazed at how quiet the crowd is. You can hear every note, every pause.
"Angel Sigh", "Take Your Time", "Shine A Light" show why Lazer Guided Melodies will always be the greatest Spiritualized--their psychedelic peak. Would love to listen to Lazer Guided Melodies played live in its entirety with a horn section.
this band changed it all around for me. i remember this day, and couldnt get em out of my head and still cant.
Thanks for posting this. Amazing memories. Love this era of spiritualized so much. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for this. I was still young enough to go to gigs and festivals back then. this was a defining moment for me. this performance, excitement of being a young man at a festival and some sweet "drops" I'd taken made this so special. to see it again makes me feel old but happy. Thanks again
What’s the age-limit for gigs and festivals?
@@lookbovine for me when I can't stand for long because of arthritis in my knees, hearing loss, and mostly being too much of a grumpy git to have to deal with lots of people getting in the way and having way to much fun!
(Kind of not entirely true about being grumpy but sort of!)
I was there, but don't remember a second of this! Great to be able to watch it again
My first Glastonbury...great memories !
First time I have seen it since being at my first Glastonbury in 1992. Fantastic. Good to see the TRUE live version of Shine A Light-Clear Light/Clear Rush. It changed a bit, certainly the tempo of CL/CR changed, and it was still amazing, but the original couldn't be beaten
@foxgirl Agreed. Saw them playing it live around a month back, and it wasn't a patch on this! I see from your comments below that you basically liked nothing after Pure Phase! I loved LAGWAFIS too, but most albums after that were poor, however Everything is Beautiful is really quite excellent
@foxgirl Aye, you are right, even at the gig a month back, Come Together brought the house down! I absolutely love Cop Shoot Cop
i was ther too, defining moment in life! oooooooooooooooooh shine a light on me, oh my god......
MERCI TROP BIEN MAYBE THEIR BEST LIVE 😄
Brilliant, I was there but can hardly remember it, but this brought it back
What an absolute beautiful headfuck of a set that was. Had to come here and remind myself how wonderful they could be after last night's snooze-fest.
Wow. I was at the show at Glastonbury this year and thought it was absolutely magical.
I don't know mate, I only watched it on telly and to this person who has lost count of the number of times I've seen them since 1991 it was dull. They're one of my all time favourite bands, but I much preferred the psychedelic assault of their early years.
Woo! I remember this gig, I was there, Thanks So Much for uploading this.
Hey there Ollie - thanks so much for posting this! PS many thanks for your invaluable help with my IT / msg board problems a while ago, it got me back on the proverbial posting horse. Cheers, mojo
Nice🏴
I was there too, 25 years ago, and still my favourite band. Psychedelic noise or Gospel singers, it really doesn't matter, Jason's still a songwriting genius...............Can't believe I hadn't found this earlier!! Have to ask though...what's going on with the fast forward button?!!!
Was at this gig. Music to take drugs to.....
They kill it in the music doc "Glastonbury: In Flashback"
35:06 thank you
Mate did you have the full set of the 2004 glastonbury show up on CZcams??
I too was there, a little worse for wear but I didn't care..
You are a poet
Is that Ray Dickerty playing sax?
Just realised the date - presumably that's Pat from Jazz Butcher?
The bands drum-tech commented on this page that it's John Glynn on sax.
So much better with the noise rock and without the gospel singers...
Dodgy camera
Yeah we know
ok
