I always thought it was really cool when people cloned themselves in videos. The tutorials I saw online were all for Adobe Premiere Pro and were extremely detailed and complicated involving masking etc. etc. This is a very simple method you can do in a few minutes and provides excellent results. I will show you how to make the edit in Adobe Premiere Elements.

Thanks for making this playlist. We recently found ourselves needing to learn to take & edit videos, & have the 2018 version of this program for editing. It's very overwhelming for us, but the way your videos are a short break down one feature at a time in simple terms "noobs" can understand is making learning this stuff a much more attainable goal. Thanks again 👍✌️

Wow! I didn't know this could be done with Premiere Elements 2019. Thanks also for sharing that trick about opening a project in 1080. I just started my first project with Premiere Elements 2019, and might start it over or at least check that my video is on a 1080 timeline.

I've just tried this and it worked great for me. I even got my timing right so I didn't have to alter the clips to synch the audio. Shooting both "clones" one after the other in a single take is a must to maintain continuity. It will appear in Part 40 of my "Project Bimmer" video series. I saw this effect in an Aging Wheels video and wondered if it was possible to do it in Premiere Elements 2019. You've answered the question and your video was helpful. Thank you very much. Another string to my bow in improving my editing skills.

Make you have them overlayed correctly on your time line. Also be careful the twins stay in their space when timing. Good luck. Let me know if you got it to work like I did. It's such a quick and easy way vs masking.
