  • How I have my Jeep Wrangler set up for emergency/bug out.
    Check out the following resources:
Survival Resources- one of the places I get bug out/survival stuff:
    www.survivalres...
Best prepper you tube channel: Preparedmind101. You have to check his channel out!
I also shop at his store a lot: www.preparedmin... You can probably find slightly better prices, but it is worth helping him out because of his exceptional content. No, I don't know him personally and he doesn't pay me or anything. I like his channel and he has a lot of great content so I support him and encourage others to do so as well.
Here is an ebay link to the molle panel I have:www.ebay.com/it...

I’d have the first aid in a different bag (possibly a white one or anything that isn’t black and blends in with the other bags) and up higher so it’s the first thing you see. Don’t wanna be in a bad condition where seconds matter and you’re fumbling for bandages.

I like how you only carry essentials and stuff that you would actually use. Some people just go way overboard on gear.

I thought you might be able to try a solar still with the soft top, but i really wouldnt know. I havent tried. Nice amount of gear, and I also love your thought process.

If your tailgate hinges are still stock, you are probably going to wear them out with that much weight. I would suggest getting a Tire carrier/bumper to alleviate weight

As a fellow jeep owner I know that I have a similar set up in my jeep I have a lot of gear in the back in fact if a guy said to me let's go camping I could pretty much just jump in the jeep and drive away my question to you because security is always an issue in a jeep especially with a soft top I noticed that you had various bike locks attached to your soft top frame inside the jeep I wonder if you could tell me what the idea was with that thank you great video by the way

THENEWWRANGLER actually the bike locks are for a different purpose altogether. For my job once a week I carry several locked bags between our locations and run the cables through the handles so they can be locked. The bags are swapped for a bag at each location, basically a paper work run. So I start on one side and take a bag Swap it and the new bag goes on the other side. Repeat at each location (6 altogether). Where I live there is very little crime so locking up the Jeep has ( keep fingers crossed) always been enough. If I ever go anyplace where I know I'm taking a chance I can always remove the pouches and stuff in the rear storage bin.

No concern with anyone breaking in? I have a soft top too and I'm hesitant to leave any sort of bags in it

Not where I live fortunately. Also the Wrangler is usually in the garage at night.

What's the difference? Even if you don't have a jeep someone can break out your window to gain entry

  • @romeo6696
    @romeo6696 Před 7 lety +1

Softtop and all that gear = bye bye gear. You need to secure that shit so when you need it it's there.

Don't live in an area where I have to worry too much. If it was something to worry about the bags are easily removed.

John Bissonnette Theives are looking for a quick getaway. expensive stuff they can grab right away. no one is going to fuck around with 100 molle pouches for an hour just to get caught. Be wary of raiders.

I can remove everything fairly quickly if I will be going somewhere where I don't think I'll need most of it and an area I need to be wary of. Where I live and travel around daily there isn't much of an issue. I realize I'm taking a bit of a chance but with a soft top Jeep you are taking a chance anyway. Thanks though for the comments you are right!

My JK has way more stuff in it than this. I have gear for all seasons, weapons, food, water, tools, etc. I live in massacusetts and people arent the friendliest out here and i leave my top off overnight. There is such a thing as too easy of a target. It looks like a blatant theif trap.

For 15 years I debated and went back and fourth as to what one really needs in a bug out situation... How much water? Daily Food? Water Water and Water... Finally I realized that IF Shit truly hits the Fan what I really need is to fill up the back of my vehicle with guns and ammo and I will be "taking" what my family needs... REALITY...

tslmiami. I mostly agree with you. Depending on where and how far you are going you will still want at least some basic supplies. But you are probably not too far off the mark.
