There is no sin in speaking your mind frankly, and making him aware the damage this is causing. Don’t think that there’s no point as the orders are from Rome…if he were swayed by enough people he would be compelled to transmit all your concerns to Rome. If all the Catholics around the world whose TLM was taken away from them spoke out loudly to their bishops/ archbishops Rome would certainly sit up and take notice. @stopfabrications Incorrect. The SSPX believes what the Church has always taught (both the Ordinary and Extraordinary Mageisterium) and does not take a position on the seemingly heretical teachings of V2 or any Pope that contradicts the perennial teachings of Holy Mother Church.
If anyone is Protestant, it's a Bishop who claims the authority of his office in order to teach heresy.
JPII kissed the devil's book called the Quran. Francis has publicly worshiped a pagan sex God. Even Paul VI declared that the council let the smoke of Satan enter the Church and said the "new" mass was deficient.
The Church is in an uunprecedented crisis. During uncertainty and crisis, the most prudent action is to follow what you have certainty about.
Your attitude is the same as those who banished, ridiculed and even excommunicated St.Athansius, who was God's primary Eartly instrument to save the Church from the Arian heresy.

@@marydantu1102 I'm at complete peace with what I know to be true. God is in charge and He often uses tribulations for our good and the good of the Church. The wolves in sheep's clothing are our cross to bear, choosen by Him for this time and for us to live during this crisis. What He expects us to do is actively work out our salvation through Christ crucified and by His grace. He does not want us to worship false gods (1st commandment), profane the Mass (3rd commandment), or dishonor our forebears (4th commandment).
The modernists and the insufficient new mass continually do both. It is our obligation to do defend what is true and holy. We will be held accountable for our complacency. Remember that the rich man suffered the fires of Gahenna for lack of action based on his refusal to act in justice.
God doesn't expect us to be in a sinking ship and say, "Oh well! It's God's will that we sink. I shouldn't get a life jacket or life boat. And I should stand by as other unknowingly go down with the ship."

@@djo-dji6018 Really? Paul VI and John Paul II confirm the post-conciliar crisis which has only gotten worse.
      In 1968, Paul VI said,
The church finds herself in an hour of anxiety, a disturbed period of self-criticism, or what would even better be called self-destruction. It is an interior upheaval, acute and complicated, which nobody expected after the Council. It is almost as if the church were attacking herself. We looked forward to a flowering, a serene expansion of conceptions which matured in the great sessions of the Council. But …. one must notice above all the sorrowful aspect. It is as if the Church were destroying herself.
      In 1972, Paul VI said,
We have the impression that through some cracks in the wall the smoke of Satan has entered the temple of God: it is doubt, uncertainty, questioning, dissatisfaction, confrontation[.] … We thought that after the Council a day of sunshine would have dawned for the history of the Church. What dawned, instead, was a day of clouds and storms, of darkness, of searching and uncertainties.
In 1981, John Paul II stated,
We must admit realistically and with feelings of deep pain, that Christians today in large measure feel lost, confused, perplexed and even disappointed; ideas opposed to the truth which has been revealed and always taught are being scattered abroad in abundance; heresies, in the full and proper sense of the word, have been spread in the area of dogma and morals, creating doubts, confusions and rebellion; the liturgy has been tampered with; immersed in an intellectual and moral relativism and therefore in permissiveness, Christians are tempted by atheism, agnosticism, vaguely moral enlightenment and by a sociological Christianity devoid of defined dogmas or an objective morality.

Islam thrives because they globally worship in a common classical language.
      I travel, and go to
either T.L.M or N.O. Mass. The NO masses are all very different, the individual priest is allowed to extemporize.
The TLM is reassuringly similar everywhere.
I have a dual language missal, however the focus is on the the Sacrifice of the Mass. I don't need to understand Latin, but am, in passing, picking up that beautiful language anyway.
So even if they cancel the original Mass N.O will be different in every parish anyway, and if you travel ..
      Babel ...
      God Bless.

They are telling my story & how I was drawn back to the Latin Mass @ our Tyler, TX Cathedral. Tks to Bsp Strickland. I'm 74 so went to Latin Mass in Canada til I was 13 (change hadn't hit there yet) & our family moved to California w my family. What a shock to see no veiling or hats, no kneelers, no Latin & a rather cold envirnment. At 13 I was shocked & did not like it. I stayed Catholic until I was 33 & divorced my husband & took our children & moved to Texas. I was outside of the Catholic Church at that time & reading many books on Early Church Fathers & was looking to find an old fashioned type of faith & environment like the early Church Fathers practiced. Found a self ordained man & his family that was just starting this type of church. A number of large families followed his efforts.
After a cpl years & still searching, I "happened" to be passing the Tyler, Texas Cathedral & I just decided to stop & talk to a priest. By Grace of God one was available. A young Irish priest who happened to be in that day. I'm Irish as well. Tk you Jesus. He taught & led me back to the true Church. I was hungry. Got my questions all answered & came back in officially on Christmas Day.
Now, 25 yrs later it's still the best decision I've ever made. 2nd was finding our Latin Mass, tks to Bsp Strickland. I hope & pray we don't lose it.
BTWay, several Latin Masses were started all over our huge diocese. I can see now why the Pope wanted to get rid of Bsp Strickland.

No. On the contrary, the best successor pope is the one who will eliminate the Novus Ordo and restore the Latin or Tridentine Mass only for the Western or Roman Church. If vernacular is even allowed, it should be limited to readings of the Gospels and homily.

That would not be possible because of Quo Primum giving the TLM the status of the Roman Rite.
Besides, if the Old Rite was practised for almost 2000 years, it is considered the will of God as God would not allow the Old Rite to last so many generations if He did not approve of this worship.
However, they can make the NO another Rite.
Edit: Besides the Old Rite has apostolic heritage, having been handed down by St Peter, so there's that.

It is as St. Pius X said, the end of modernism is atheism. While Popes Pius X and XII condemned cultural modernism. Why, condemn cultural modernism, it's not heresy as a belief? But it was condemned by the popes because of what Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said. "If you don't act according to how you believe, you will begin to believe according to how you act." So cultural modernism was condemned, but Vatican II encouraged it's resurgence and really was it's resurgence!

There is no such thing as a papal Catholic Church. There is the one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church and it isn't the one led by Francis who is anti-Catholic and therefore, anti-Christ. The true Catholic Church consists of those who believe and follow the perennial teachings that Christ taught, handed to his apostles and handed down to their valid successors. The church led by Francis (and prior to him, Benedict XVI, John Paull II, John Paul 1, Paul VI, and John XXIII) is a counterfeit church that believes and practices an anti-Christian religion called Modernism, the synthesis of all heresies as pointed out by a true pope, Pope St. Pius X.

As a catholic here in Germany, we have different challenges, the wokeness of some of our bishops and the declining number of believers, both go hand in hand I am sure. As a catholic, who was absent for a few years of the church, the current situation of the church feels devistating. I like the description of Father Murr, who explains the situation of the church but also how the vatican and the leaders work, intrigues etc.. Last week I had longer chat with our Father here in our parish and he said something very true: the church lost something at the battle of the Milivian Bridge, when the first roman emperor became a christian afterwards and church, state and power of people were not seperated anymore and changed the essence of the church.
    Let´s pray for better times.

Italian pronunciation is very regular, unlike English. Everyone can say “lasagne” correctly, so just use that as a guide. Same with “tagliatelle”, in which the “gli” sounds like the “lli” in William.

Because no one would pass them without prayer our at least saying the sign off the cross. That they stopped to say the angelus together when the bells rang out in remembrance.
Certainly all there were more devout.

Frankly speaking, the more the Vatican today does, the stronger the sedevacant position it becomes. Which one is it? Is it that the Church errs or that the Church must be free from erring? We know the latter to be true. Please can someone explain to me how we got here and how it is possible then, that the maxim that the Church can only teach truth be applied to Rome today?

    • @terezka5340
      @terezka5340 Před měsícem +2

It applies to dogmatic teachings only. Francis never defined anything dogmatically so anything he says can be errorrous. Sedavacant position cannot be strong in any real way becasue of this: They believe that post conciliar popes were not real popes and the seat has been vacant. If that is true all the bishops who were consecrated by the last real pope are long dead. With them the power of apostles - gone for ever... And with that power to elect new pope is gone as well...
Jesus said He would be with His church for ever... So it presumes church´s existence until His second coming. By sedevacant position the church is already gone without being able to repair itself because the real bishops are dead and new valid pope cannot be elected.
It´s not a solution. The solution is prayer, trust in God and resistence to error and sin.
