I live in Melbourne Australia. When George Pell was made Archbishop his first act was to sack the entire staff of the seminary in Melbourne. Then when he became Archbishop of Sydney he refused to ordain an entire class. He also developed a document for health providers to liaise with the Catholic church to help victims of clerical abuse. I used this program to deal with victims. He pushed this process Australia wide, encountering a lot of opposition from some bishops. It was called the Towards Healing Program. He insisted that victims go to Police. I wrote to other churches and insisted they provide me and other doctors with a similar program. The Anglican Church and Salvation Army responded immediately but the Baptists refused. Later we had a government Commission of Enquiry into child sexual abuse to which our bishops gave evidence.
So you see the hypocrisy of the police and other clergy and the rainbow lobby who went out of their way to malign him and set him up with those abuse charges. He was not only completely innocent, he did more for the victims of abuse than anyone else in the church.

I am a doctor who has dealt with abuse cases. Fr Gomulka is spot on describing the psychology of the abuser who was groomed as a teen, who sees it as" love". Isolation of the teenage boy from women and girls and heterosexual males interferes with the development of a teenage boys' psychological wellbeing.
The boy may also go through a phase of being expected to recruit a victim, bring him to the predator, stand guard outside while the abuse happens, and lie to cover up for the predator. There is currently no way this groomer gang behaviour is being addressed in the church.
Priests and seminarians who are whistleblowers get cancelled, but they are also subjected to " re- education" by the psychologists appointed to present this whistleblower individual as deranged.
    The coverups are very real

I had a friend who son joined the seminary in the N. East and he was hunted down by sodomites there, they were teaching him that Jesus was gay, that’s why he never married. The poor man was followed home when he couldn’t take the pressure and dropped out.I was at her home when these men showed up, which I was not informed at that time. But they were pressuring him to keep silent. I was so disgusted and angry that they destroyed his chances of serving God.

When my son was at Lehigh Univ. engineering he/we went to one of the greatest parishes I have ever seen, St. Stephan of Hungary in Allentown, only 12 minutes away. I remember first time there and getting there 1hour early, Church already half full. It took 20 minutes to get in for confession, and they had 2 priests hearing. They had, at least, 10 seminarians there learning from Pastor, Fr. Pentagrapht( sp?) the traditional Mass. The seminarians looked like Marines. Blond & dark haired crew cuts, looked like fit, disciplined athletes, very revenant. My son said, “They look like Angels of God’s Army, like I always envisioned St. Michael”. It was very impressive and gives me great hope. This is a FSSP Church. I do believe getting back to our Sacred Traditions, as we are commanded, & leave the corruption of modernism/Ecumania in the trash heap where it belongs is critical to restoring the human element of our one holy Catholic & Apostolic Church. There was a young man who had been abused by a priest on faculty who was later kicked out of seminary for whistleblowing (not known at the time). I remember him being there and then seemingly out of nowhere he was gone. This was a normal situation in seminary (men come and go) but I now wonder how many were victims of predators.

In his final book, “What is a Christian?” Pope Benedict XVI formally confirmed what many already knew, by anecdotal evidence, to be the case. That, in the 1980’s with the fall off in vocations, the Church decided to encourage young men into the Priesthood by setting up homosexual clubs in the seminaries and attracting in men with a homosexual orientation by offering them the opportunity to live our their homosexual lifestyle in a discrete manner. They were instructed to keep their homosexual activity completely “in house” and never to mention what was going on the seminaries and in the Priesthood in general. What could possibly go wrong? There was an explosion of child sex abuse in the Church. The Church had created a monster and the only way it thought it could control the monster was to introduce a cult of secrecy, cover up and deceit. Huge sums of money, donated by the Faithful for the advancement of the Gospel and the maintenance of the poor were misapplied towards payments of “hush money” and in legal fees to try to defend those of the clergy brought before the Courts to answer for their crimes. Then, in 2014, after he was elected, the Pope announced that men with a homosexual tendency would no longer be accepted by the seminaries. This was pure window dressing. The culture of homosexuality had become so well established amongst the clergy, including the Bishops, Archbishops and Cardinals, that the clergy had developed into a homosexual club, into which anyone not sharing the sexual preferences of the members of the club would not be invited or made welcome. The Pope has finally expressed his exasperation, using the most vulgar and abusive language, at a situation which he has permitted to remain. Knowing of Cardinal McCarrick’s crimes, he restored him to his office and promoted and preferred him. This was because McCarrick promised to raise large sums for the Vatican in the USA. This he did - by deceit and dishonesty. He raised the funds on the basis that they were needed for the care of the sick and the poor. He raised about $25 million. This money was used to fund a private hospital. That was a good look - a hospital. However, what services did the hospital offer? Mainly plastic surgery for the very wealthy. Nothing to help the poor. It was simply an investment to generate income for the Vatican. So, the donors in the USA found out about this and asked for their money back. The Vatican said that it could not return the money - it had already spent it. Finally, as a compromise, it offered low rate of interest on the donation, turning it into a loan, rather than a gift. The donors had to be content with that. Then, of course, we know that the Pope appointed McCarrick to negotiation an agreement with the Chinese Government which amounted to a total sell out of the Catholic Church there. Does the Pope have any grounds for complaining about the current state of the Church? When most of the damage which has been done to the Church has been done by him?

@@jackieo8693Did you write this " tongue in cheek"?
It has been a well planned and orchestrated move by the Free Ma sons enacted by their sidekicks the com mu nists. Bella Dodd, later converted by Bishop Sheen, did her stealthy work by placing over a thousand homo seminarians into the Church, with the pointed intention of undoing the Church from the inside.
This was early in the 1940s. By the sixties many of these Seminarians become priests had climbed the ladder to prominent positions in the Church and in priestly formation. They were masters of grooming the young.
Those young Seminarians, at the most vulnerable age, were groomed to accept the abuse they were subjected to by suave language. These boys become men were by that time physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually poisoned and damaged. Many of them are wearing red today. Could one of them actually be wearing white? I don't know.
Until the rot is carefully weeded out of these positions the Church will be victim to it.
I believe the day is coming. Christ will not permit His Bride to suffer this adulterous behavior at the hands of those who should be protecting her!

From Mr. Gomulka's official biography on his website: "Saint John Paul II named Gomulka a Prelate of Honor in 1999 with the honorific title of “Monsignor.” After he and Dominican Father Thomas Doyle suffered reprisals in 2004 from then-Archbishop Edwin O’Brien for their work in exposing and combating clerical sex abuse in the Catholic Church, Gomulka retired after 24 years of active duty military service and took a leave of absence from the priesthood. When it became clear that his bishop who had been covering up sex abuse did not want a whistleblower priest working in his diocese, Gomulka later married and was blessed with twin children, Luke and Sasha, who were born on his birthday. Because he has never been laicized, canonically he is still “Father” or “Monsignor” Gomulka. From his perspective, Church leaders like Pope Francis and countless bishops and chancery officials who engage in or cover up sex abuse should be the ones who should be laicized. Among all the titles he has been afforded throughout his life (e.g., Father, Monsignor, Chaplain, Padre, Captain), his favorite title is “Dad.”"

Francis knew what he said and no longer can the “you took my comments out of context” argument be used. As a former seminarian in the 1960s what it seems to me to have happened since Vatican II is the widespread abuse of the forgiveness of Confession due to the sin of Presumption. For example, that is when a person is tempted to commit a serious sin and instead of rejecting it, decides that they can just commit the sin and go to Confession afterwards. That is an act of presuming on God's Mercy and Forgiveness, which is a greater sin than the one that they committed in the first place. There are conditions for making a good Confession which include a thorough examination of conscience, confession of all mortal sins and serious venial sins, sincere sorrow for the sons which have been committed, a firm purpose of amendment to avoid committing such sins in the future and doing the penance given by the priest at the end of the Confession. The Vatican II mentality seems to hold with Presumption being old school Catholicism and no longer in effect. That is wrong.

    • @janemary8339
      @janemary8339 Před měsícem

Showing contrition and purpose of amendment is still required for absolution Even now post Vatican two. Even now it wouldn't be licit to give absolution if the priest discerned presumption in the 'penitent'. One priest told us he turned away someone who didn't seem contrite. And this priest is Novus order.

Hearing from Seminarians today, I believe that the hotbed has been quenched in most seminaries. Getting past the pre ordination stage might be trickier as some dioceses have woke "religious sisters" on their vetting staff.
Fortunately a lot of the sixties and seventies priests are dying off. Many have left the priesthood. A few "James Martins" are out and about parading their pathologies before those who "adore" that sickness. Those whose hearts have turned to the Lord recognize it for what it is and are rejecting it.

In this case the issue is so horrific that it almost seems like the whole Church needs to be rebuilt, but how do we man the dioceses? How do our parishes survive? Fr Gomulka, a question. In your opinion or based on your knowledge of the history of this mess, WAS THE EXTENT OF HOMOSEXUAL PERVERSION THIS PERVASIVE BEFORE VATICAN COUNCIL II? Thank you again for fighting this filth who are destroying the Christ's Church.

In my naivety some years ago ‘ I heard about mystics in the church revealing about having visions of clergy ‘ and nuns suffering in HELL’ which I was shocked to hear ‘ but now I realize after many many horrible stories about these evil predators ‘ that is absolutely true in their visions’ to whom much is given ‘ much is expected’ you literally couldn’t make this up’. ‘Unbelievable ‘

My personal opinion, especially after reading the book "Goodbye Good Men" (which I can't recommend more highly), is that active homosexuality was actually if not encouraged, not discouraged either in many, many seminaries in the years following VCII. The ranks of the priesthood of the generations of priests who came up in the early 70's through the 80's is loaded with gay priests, and by extension the ranks of bishops and prelates. It was an epidemic. God willing, as these men retire or die off, they will be replaced by holier, more orthodox priests.

Vatican 2 isn't relevant to this issue of abuse. McCarrick was formed pre Vatican 2. And lots of other homosexual clergy were formed pre Vatican 2.

That is left to be seen. Since Catholics have dropped the ball in the culture wars, considering the majority of them now accept same sex marriage. The reason why many Catholics don't have a problem with homosexual priests is because homosexuality has been mainstreamed. Traditional Catholicism is seen as odd and an anachronism by mainstream society.

How much I like your talk - both of you are speaking to us all just like Jesus Christ did & does even in this heyday of Church woes . I'm pained but l'll never leave Jesus, my Lord & God . I'm not surprised at the Pope bcos I read his body language - facial expression well as worldly & not spiritual .

dear rev. fr.Gomulka,l followed your video with tears of compassion for the innocent young people who will never, never get rid of the hellishmemoty of these predators.l sm now in my 90th year, a former pharmacist at a clinic for mental disorders.l think that these erring persons or priests suffer from obsessive ~ compulsive disorder, and require swift help through psychiatrists,,psychologists, medication, or surgery.Having this sort of afflicrion may be hereditary or genetic and often leads to anxiety or depression and could be deeply harmful to society , and to themselves,as you can see from your heartrending experience. It is deeply sad that the clergy did not fully comprehend the mental situation. I think it is crucial to change outdated measures and to respond tto the serious matter through science,to save society and the clergy from this mental scourge.Definitely the afflicted person should on no account be allowed to follow such vocations as educators, priests, nurses or sports where they can find their unfortunate victims.

one of my patients was a 14 year old girl, who tried to commit suicide after the most vile kind of dangerous predator raped her, It was her own father! She was convinced that her own body was the devil’s occasion for sin, and she told me,” I wanted to kill my body, l hate it,”.Today, several years, later she lives in another country , having been ,at the time immediately helped by a Church ngo, and she is employed and married and has a family too. Deo Gratias.

I thought it was about Francis covering up, not committing the sin himself. Either way he should not have accepted the papacy, given the risk of being exposed.

I don't know how pervasive this problem is in the NZ 🇳🇿 Church....to be sure there are some, or who are * unfaithful" in other ways....including the bishop of the diocese just north of here....He apologised in public. My old high school in Dunedin was recently renamed, no longer named in memory of a recently deceased bishop who covered up clergy abuse...playing the clergy shuffle.

When my son was baptised in Dunedin in 1981 lay people told me never to let him be an altar server at the Cathedral. The Monsignor and choir master were notorious abusers but were never caught up with. The Dominicans went to the Archbishop later Cardinal Williams who told them to mind their own business. It was left to the laity and teachers to protect children. The teachers used to run to the gate to stop the Monsignor entering the school grounds. I witnessed this.
Several good priests left. First they were sent to the most isolated parishes in Otago . There were issues at Mosgiel in the seminary too.
It is tragic to return to churches in Southland and Otago to see empty Masses.
This abuse has been a major factor in driving people away from the church. The woke rubbish is also extreme in NZ.
