Weshalb wurde der Text inzwischen geändert ??? Den hätten doch auch heute noch alle ausländischen Chorknaben mitgesungen ! Why the lyrics were changed ??? All boys from foreign countries would have sung that also today !!!
Toelzerfanclever, they do not sound as good as they normally sound. There were quite a few off notes sung by the boys. Their tone was off a little, too, but still pleasant. I have not given a thumbs down, but I can not give it a thumbs up either, only because I have heard them sing better. :-)
Dear Rebecca MacLean, first now I read your comment and am wondering about my own obviously overblown comment. You are right with your criticism regarding the Kaiserwalzer. Concerts by that Schubertchor 2008/2009 I myself had attended in Schwerin, Berlin and Hannover. For me the choir was one of the best VBC-concert- choirs ever. In Berlin the Japanese soloist Hibiki in the Konzerthaus was singing one part together with the audience. His voice was overshining all the people...:) The film "Silk Road" (produced in 2008) made that Schubertchor and other concert choirs of the VBC "immortally". In the last years I was filming all four VBC-concert choirs. One of the results for example is that following video here: czcams.com/video/YG_jN-CR9hE/video.html

I just saw your reply to my comment, and i also have just watched the video in the link you shared. Yes, they sound much better in the recording of "Sound The Trumpet". When they toured Australia in 2012 (Brucknerchor), they sang this song, and they sounded much better. I also recorded the concert, but am unable to share because the choir directors know I recorded it, and I promised them I would never share it. Have you noticed they cut out a large portion of Emperor Waltz? They did the same when they sang it here in Australia. 🙂
@@namewithheldbygoogleforsec673 Thank you for your kind feedback. In the meantime the VBC has big broblems cause Corona. The choir fears to become "bankrupty" and asks for donations ! . In the last years I made again and again recordings, uploaded results to YT and the VBC tolerated that. Attend my channels MorzartKCfan, Kruzifan, Agnes Erika, HuImanbeing97. Treble Fan and my own ..:)
