A well-trained boy's voice, a transient thing, is always a joy to listen to. However, there are cultural differences. The French language has a nasal quality, compared to German, which is more from the throat. The result is that the German choirs have a richer sonority to the tone of the vowels, which is more pleasing to the ear. Just my opinion. I am neither German nor French.
I dont think so. Vienna is worst anong the global boy choirs cuz they're so limited and boring by song category and also even training so old-fashioned way.That's not "Traditional". Actually, The Rivera is perfect but PCCB is the best.
Perhaps it's the quality of the recording but there appears to be an unfortunate trade-off, of roundness of tone for volume.
