This seems like a phone that was decided on in the board room. Had a bunch of old parts to get rid of, and the board room told the designers to use them up in something.

@ily LG G8 is probably the best bang for buck. 100 dollars on ebay. snapdragon 855, OLED, decent speakers and camera. Maybe you can do a lg g8 review vs g power 2023, and g stylus 5g? The Cpus are on par, but the gpu on the g8 is 15% better. Maybe the Pixel 4 too!

I hated my Moto G Stylus for the first couple weeks but man, really learned to love it! Mostly I love the faster speed compared to my LG Stylo 5, the improved internal storage of 128 gb and also the much improved battery life on my 4 year old lg stylo 5 (which still has a pretty formidable battery life even today.)
I had to wait until the Moto g power 2023 was as good as or better then Moto g power 2020... I think they did this on purpose to use old parts and to think that you're going to get massive upgrade with next year's phone...
I honestly hope so, but they’ve been overlapping so many specs & features that I wouldn’t be surprised if the 2024 phones are just 2022 devices

The state of this price range is abysmal for most brands for some reason, meanwhile midrange/upper-midrange options are fantastic (... as long as you ignore Samsung when going beyond the A34 when it comes to their A series)

I had both the 4G and 5G G Stylus 2021 versions. I absolutely loved both of those phones (My mom is still using my old 5G). It blew my mind that they downgraded the G Stylus line so much. Seems like they're trying to kill off the series.
What is the point of making a lower-priced sequel of a phone, if that phone is going to sit on the same price, since that phone launched a year back

Honestly, I think this phone is for brand new customers who don’t know any better, and to motivate existing customers to get the more expensive Moto Stylus 5G. That’s probably it 🤷
@TechDaily I don't think a person that is searching for a phone around 200 will jump to 400 just because it is better. I think he will choose a better brand that gives more bang for your buck,

Yeah, I’m sort of mixed on it. Like most people don’t specifically seek out 5G capable phones because of WiFi access, spotty network coverage and vastly different areas across the country. But I don’t think 5G components are particularly expensive, so I don’t understand why LTE only phones are still being made. And this isn’t even that cheap of a phone honestly
I have a tcl stylus 5g and a Moto G stylus 5g 2022 and Im fine dualwielding them...Do I want to upgrade to this years devices..sure but even my oneplus nord n10 is performing realy good. Does some stuff better than my stylus 5g and its running android 11. I'm glad that I dont have to upgrade every year. Getting a new phone every few generations would be ok
Last time i used Motorola was pre Android one, Moto E398, it had a best speaker, but everything was limited, cannot display any picture bigger than VGA resolution, cannot play MP3 file more than 192 kbps, the screen got pink blips everywhere after merely a year, the volume button broke after close to 2 years of use. I heard than another Moto Q8 got broke as well after short usage... That was the last time I use the brand...
Those specs are disappointing but honesty a 720p screen at 6.5 inches doesn't bother me. Im on my 2nd gen SE right now but i have a motorola one with a 1080p IPS LCD screen and i have the Galaxy A42 5g with a super amoled 720p screen. I actually prefer watching videos on the A42 over the Motorola One.
Do you think part of that is the fact that it is a Super AMOLED screen? It’s going to look brighter and more colorful at least. For some reason, Moto’s LCD displays just look extra-bad in all areas
@@TechDaily Definitely. The colors look a lot better and at a normal viewing distance it's more pleasant to watch. On a side note, I also like the fact that it started on Android 10 and has made it all the way to Android 13.
I don't mind them using old parts! It's the fact they used them on this particular phone! No phone should be worse than the year before! But like I said the 5G version is way better and blows this one out of the water

My A34 5G is way better than this Motorola. The only thing going for it is it that it has a hole punch selfie camera, to my teardrop.

For anybody wondering the 5G version is literally a different phone! It has the snapdragon 6 gen 1 chipset 8 gigs of ram and 256gb of storage! It's also free at metro when your a new customer! The screen is better on the 5g and the speakers are incredible!

I bought what I think was the 2020 power (oddly, the 'about phone' info in my phone doesn't note the model year) after a warning from you and others that the 2021 was a big downgrade. It's been ok. Horrible camera, great sound, big battery. I would love a good camera but there are also many reasons to use a cheaper phone... I would really like a phone system that does not invade my privacy. I detest googles privacy invasion and would like to get away from it... Oh, I was also able to avoid 5g with that phone, which I wanted to do.

Does this phone, StylusG 5G 2023 come new with the app MDM? Mine did and I'm told all of them come with this app.
My phone says on the bottom when I open it and do certain things on my phone.... This device is owned by your organization! It didnt show up until I tried to reset my server cause I was having issues. US Cellular first stated that all moto phones come with that app. I oroved her to be wrong. Then she said it only comes with this new phone. Is this correct? I can not get a straight answer from anyone. If it does not come with this phone then that means I was sold a refurbished phone as new from a US Cellular store! I know they do this. Just never thought I would get one lol. And that means I need to straighten this out!

Honestly, in the U.S. I don’t understand why LTE-only devices are still being made. It’s not like this is a $99 phone. It’s $200 freaking dollars. It’s not like 5G components are even expensive anymore, and most people wouldn’t know the difference if their phone was ever/always/never connected to whatever type of network.
Wow. Makes me glad I bought the 5G stylus version. Mine wasn't nearly as expensive however. It was only $150 but, maybe they were holding a holiday special. I will be sure not to get this version for my son.
I just bought this yesterday because my g7 broke. I paid about $120 and overpaid $400.This thing lags so bad on even the most basic application. Not seconds but literall minutes.I feel like it is 1999 and I am on dial up. Maybe they heard about all the people being nostalgic about the 90' and that they gave us.Whatever you pay unless they pay you a few hundred to get off their hands it is not worth it.

I own a Moto G31 that has the same chipset and for me its running perfectly fine for every day use + has AMOLED screen FHD+ which i love
The data I have shows the G Stylus 5g 2023 has better specs than the 2022 model. It is a solid mid-level phone at a fair price.
It also comes with 128GB, not 64GB

Today i couldn't swipe up to unlock it and i restarted it and it took about 1 or 2 hours to restart great job Motorola
I had the Moto G stylus 5G 2023 for no more than a week before the phone crashed on me and I had to buy a whole new phone ended up buying the One Plus Nord N30 5G up until that phone recently crashed on me. All I got now is a old phone which is no longer around at Metro. The T-Mobile Revvl 6 Pro 5G which I've had since last year. Seems like older phones last longer than these newer phones in which most of them are just garbage 🗑️👎👎😒
Yeah I can't believe how bad this phone is now. I'm glad I got the 2022 model year. It's so much better than the 2023.

Just got this phone with a charger for 40$ it's amazing for that price but think it would be fine for 100$ most of the stuff this guy complains about doesn't matter to most people . Spotify you tube texting ESPN fantasy etc I have all these apps on this phone and it works flawlessly.

My 2021 moto stylus 4G is better than this phone. The 2020 and 2021 4G version is the best version compared to this worse downgrade of a phone.

I disagree. This is one of Motorola’s best years in a long time. I will say that Moto G Stylus 2023 is trash and the 5G variant is way better. The reason why this is a good year for Motorola is because of the ThinkPhone and the Razr+.

Nah only the lte variants are crappy the 5g variants are excellent they are the ones metro gives out best mid tier phones to date now I even have the 2022 Moro g stylus 5g free from metro I really enjoy it
@@jakeadams9973 🤔 the 2022 moto G stylus 5g is pretty good, i got it few months back to try it out, and i got the OnePlus N20 5g, which is also one of the best phones they had for free,,, the newer versions of those phones are downgrades tho,,,, 🤔 best budget options are the Google Pixel 6A or the Samsung Galaxy A54 5g cause u can get them for 50$ bucks at Metro nowadays 😀
