Thanks Brian, I dont hate my job, i hate my pay and want more pay!!
That’s the issue. The jobs that ppl somewhat like they don’t pay enough the hard jobs or unpleasant jobs they pay decent
Same. I took 6 weeks of sabbatical (unpaid) and didn't really care for it. I found out that I just don't want to be reliant on a job, which means my subscriptions and rent are a big problem.
Hop jobs. 6 months later, evaluate. do you like it? Stay. if you dont, hop again. repeat every 2 years

Stress out at work, high blood pressure went up, ended in ER, I MADE CHANGES, JUST CAME BACK FROM A VACATION IN PARADISE, RAIN FOREST, SNORKELING, POOL ETC...
I FEEL GOOD. Treat yourself, once you reach 67 you will not have much energy, get out, love your life, spend quality time with your children
Great advice if you can afford it.
Where you went? Costa Rica ?
Why does my job feel like a bad marriage? I keep thinking I can change it, but in reality, it's just a toxic relationship with fewer weekend getaways. Time to draft my resignation letter or hire a divorce lawyer for my career!
Lol they use you bc they love you❤
Just walk away.

Changing careers and working for myself has been one of the best decisions I've done for myself, even after family and friends thought I was crazy for doing so.
Jim Carrey supposedly once said: "If you're not willing to downgrade your lifestyle for a year to have a lifestyle you want forever, you care too much about what other people think."
I love how you cut the BS and the hyperbole and refuse to harbour dogmatic one size fits all crap like other influencers. Great advice. Thanks. 👍🏾
I don't hate my job, I hate how many hours you're expected to spend at work. That's going to fixable without major culture change.
Try finding a job with a four day work week I did
i work 60-80hr weeks and love it, honestly dont know what id do with the down time.
but i travel for a living, and only work half the year. other half i do what i want (without getting paid) when i want so it balances out for me.
i wouldn't know what to do with myself on a 40hr week, no time to do anything big, but to much time at the end of the day to just do small things. 12hr days are the best, as long as its a reasonable commute

The only upsides are the pay and the ability to “disappear” at times. 😂

The job is rarely the problem. The abuse is the problem. That's a systemic problem that no individual can fight alone.
This!!!!
Yup 👍 you’re right! We could have fun but everyone is so miserable they just make everything so hard.
So, so true. I work for the department of Education and the administration are verbally abusive to teachers and staff. The school principal and the assistant principal are the most nasty human being I ever met. I am so happy I am so close to retirement. Praise God that he has been opening doors for me to be able to retire soon. Today by God’s Grace I paid off my mortgage.

Left a toxic job and made good money. Took a $2 pay cut at my new job but it was worth it. Commute is shorter and the environment is better.
I did this like 10 years ago, best move ever. That sacrifice led me towards opportunities that I never would have been able to pursue if I stayed at the toxic place
So few people genuinely like what they do, or who they do it for. I love what I do, not so much with the people around me. It is what it is sometimes.
I started my business August 2020. Today I put in my resignation. It’s a beautiful day!
Congratulations!🎉
Congrats!! 🎉
Congratulations 🎉 best of luck!
I needed this today...I hate my job but I have kids and even tho I have a FULL TIME side hustle that makes the same amt monthly that I do in my medical job....Im scared. Especially since i just put down the money for our house and am now paying a mortgage but I have to do something. I hate waking up to someone else's clock...
People in the future will look back at us with astonishment that almost everyone gave their entire life to work a meaningless job.
I inherited a 8 million dollar ranch from my boss when he passed away, I worked 25 years for him.
Everything is unfair. That’s because you’re still on your journey. Hey you’re not alone. Love and respect yourself guys. I’m on my way to stop doing negative things to myself and yes it does take some time and effort. Face the reality but dream big hope everyone have a good day.
I technically retired in my early 30s because my boss tried to get rid of me but he actually retired me because he's an idiot and very insecure so I flipped the situation to my advantage with some help.
Who else is watching this at work?
☝️
Just got off work.

I hate my job. Im a dentist. I went to an Ivy league school. Im home in Africa couldnt or wouldn't stay in the US. Pushed into medicine by my pushy father since highschool. Regret it AF. Toxic corporate culture everywhere.

I think the majority fall between not minding their job and hating their job.
Few people in America love their job.
I am working toward what my Dad has. He is retired, living on a small pension and social security. He doesn't have much in material stuff, he is a simple man but he doesn't answer to anyone.

not always the case but it does happen sometimes
It would he just be bad luck if I got laid off from my 3 jobs. Oh well I'm right by the Mexican border, the average salary is $150 a week. That would be the new goal 😂
You are completely correct. Switching careers did set me back about 30% of my highest income. I studied on my own to get into software engineering for 2 years after work and on the weekends with all my free time. Got an entry level job last year paying that 30% less. Not even 1 year later I received a new job with incredible benefits, an amazing set of coworkers, and a 50% pay raise. Just put in the work, and you can get there. I couldn't be happier, and I hope you all achieve the same.
Good for you!!
I tripled my salary between 2018 - 2022 thanks to job hopping during Covid

I now absolutely hate my job. My management changed my schedule and workload. So, I am quitting next month. My wife, daughter, and I have $3500 passive income monthly to cover our bills and some expenses. I will need to find a part-time job. I love driving and chatting with people and love pet sitting. I think this is good since I live in Vegas. Also, my VA covers 100% of medical costs for all my family. Thank you for the clip and the encouragement.
Much Kudos to you, Frank! I'm trying to get to where you are and I know it will take a lot more ME grinding it out! I work in Healthcare IT and my wife is a paraprofessional. I imagine out lives, with $3500 of passive income per month! 😵

What industry?
What job did you get fired on Friday and got a new job on Saturday? Did you get fired by door dash and then work for ubereat?
What industry you in?
I don't hate my job itself, I hate the constant struggle with others who incessantly try to pawn their work off onto me. I hate that no one ever wants to take responsibility for anything because they could be wrong, so all decision making and accountability comes back to me. I hate that certain peoples are never held accountable for their work, but instead it becomes my responsibility to take care of and mentor them when NO ONE mentored me. Yes, I'm a white male but you could also have assumed I was an Asian male.
...
I know where you're coming from. I work very hard and it seems that the people who work the hardest not only get the most work, but get treated the worst. I had to change my whole daytime schedule around to accommodate others when I am the most productive employee. It isn't fair. I won't be here for much longer. Something better comes along and then I'll bounce.

There must be a swing in labor vs indoor email passing jobs. Those that do hard work are compensated less than the micro managers forwarding pointless emails all day.
Company is dying, looking for a new job. . I’m 63 , let’s talk age discrimination
This came right on time. I was just on Indeed looking for another job. Being in a hot warehouse all day is not worth it
Me too❤
The problem is if you open your own business in any field, there is already high competition out there ! Worse thing you can do is to open business now during hyperinflation ! There will be always someone who does it cheaper and you are screwed....And if you hate your job, no worries, you will get laid off soon ! We are fucked...
The company was never the problem. It was the team and manager.
💯
For me, it is my supervisor. I'm just keeping my head down and working for now while applying for other jobs.
You had me at "toxic job escape plan"
Grifters will tell you, "Anyone can build the next fakebook."
An honest person (Brian) will say, "Not everyone should start a business.
Brian, this is excellent advice. As a top earning salesperson in a multi-million dollar company, I was a victim of corporate restructuring where the major accounts became house accounts due to automatic replenishment systems on computer. My income was cut in half so I had to do something. I took my first $10,000 and invested in my own importing and distribution business because that was my area of expertise for almost 20 years. I kept my day job and worked out of my home as I slowly grew my business out of the cash flow. After a few years of careful well planned growth, I finally left my day job as I continued to grow my client base. Eventually I moved into a warehouse space and now have a multi-million dollars business with 4 full-time employees! It can be done in America.
I do hate my job but I keep working there for the simple reason that I am rejected literally everywhere I apply.
The economy is real!
I'm definitely a structure type person - show me how its done then I'll take it from there and give it my best. My day job is an IT gig that is 100% telework so I never have to be at an office and I have a boss who is very hands-off (not a micro manager). It really is a good job and I enjoy what I do. My financial focus is watching expenses and investing smartly when funds allow so I can retire in my late 50s then relocate overseas where the purchasing power of my fixed income will go farther.
I quit my job, started waiting tables so I’d have time to promote my book and start my blog! Best decision ever! You’re never stuck! There are always options 😊
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
I had a total career failure. 8 years in the military and a masters degree got me a labor job that where everyone else has a high school diploma. I wanted all that time preparing to try to get a real career
Keep at it... it's who you get to know.
@@cliffdariff74 I gave up after 8 years and over 2200 applications. It’s a done deal at this point.
That’s not total career failure. You’re just doing something until something better comes up. A job is a job. A gig is a gig. Whatever you need to do to get to that next gig. You gotta change your mindset in today’s economy. There are no jobs out there that are loyal to you. So you gotta get what you can and just keep going.
I graduated and also worked with idiots with highschool diploma's. Immigrants come to America often more keen and clever than the people they work with, but you've got to use your intelligence to make the most of the money you earn. I did just that on a decent paying but low status job.
What field/line of work? Left out some important context.
The timing on this video, i hate my overnight job.
Impeccable
Great video! Some parts hit home for me. I was in an industry I was tired of. Moved back home to go back to school and worked crappy jobs while in school. Graduated last year in accounting. I work at a smaller firm. Next goal is to pass the CPA. It would be nice to open my own little shop, but I'm happy where I'm at right now. I'm in early forties, so I did a career change a lityle later in life, but it has made all the difference. Best of luck to everyone!
You put this out as i was registering to become a CNA to get myself into the medical field. I dread the job I have right now. Thanks for the extra motivation!
Thank you for being realistic about the options that are available
No just quitting is stupid..I hated my job so I did the work to better my condition..I upgraded my skills by going back to school to put myself in a place where I had More options..
Toxic coworkers is the problem not the job itself
Its why im here. I filed 2 complaints on my Toxic Ukranian coworker. Shes angry that she lost her looks by aging!
I used to hate my job and ever since I quit, I feel free😂 the pay and benefits were great, but the environment was so toxic that it started affecting me. I just found a job that is super easy .. I am eager to learn new skills and get the job done. 😈
THANKS BROTHER 💯 I APPRECIATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE YOU SHARE !!!!
My pleasure!! Thank you for all the support!
It's a great video. Some people have to stay because of family obligations and finding companies that have flex schedules present challenges. They can be overcome but takes more time.
Many of us like our work, but the corporate America environment is intolerable due to DEI and other woke policies. That basically only leaves starting a business, or in my case just coasting on the off road to retirement.
So sick of incompetent coworkers and managers who are only there because Legal decided we needed more "diversity."
I worked in the same field for about 30 years. Did do an upgrade after some tech school in my 20's. Never was promoted ONCE in 30 years. Worked both private, public and even went on my own for two years. Found a way out 🙂after they rubber roomed me in my last job and haven't worked since. Going on 20 years of freedom. Find your own way!

I love my job, the pay and benefits are as good as it gets. It’s the PEOPLE !!! Can’t have everything I guess
They complain about layoffs but the truth is that at every company I've worked for you could layoff 50% of the employees and it wouldn't impact productivity. Just make sure to layoff the right ones who don't contribute anything except for their "diversity."

I do the bare minimum, ignore some things I see that don't need to be done, and go do errands when I feel like it. Little care, little worry, still getting a paycheck. It isn't worth it to care about your pointless work. It is just work, it isn't your life.
Didn't know we were gonna get the Brian Lore, everyone has a beginning!
I was an employee and ran my own consulting firm and your advice was 100% spot on. I would only suggest one caveat for folks to consider. Always do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life. I found that as long as I was doing what I loved, somehow the universe knew what I was doing was the right thing. And THAT was when the prosperity followed. It just seemed to come to me, I didn't have to kill myself chasing a dollar like a fool.
