I have only ever seen Grace Jones , this comfortable on an interview TWICE .. this and Joan Rivers , the only two who were not intimidated and bothered to try understand Grace without judgement !!
Three icons! There’s the wonderful Tony Curtis! And who’s that surgeon? It was Christiaan Barnard, the first human to human heart transplant surgeon! This is amazing television. How did I miss it? Now I can go back and watch all off her shows! And Jeffrey Archer, former Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom!
This has got to be the most original show ever! Dame Enda is not to be to be repeated. Loved the interaction between Grace and Tony. Tony is ever the gentleman.
I noticed that too, and how her whole face and eyes are so glowing, she exudes a love for life. I also noticed she switched from throwing underhand to a mighty overhand - I can believe that lady could throw a punch! xD
I saw her perform at a gay disco in Hollywood in 1978 after she released "I Need a Man" and "La Vie en Rose". She was everything we expected of the somewhat androgynous and tough chick "Grace Jones" on stage but after the performance she joined us (with Dolph, I believe) on the dance floor and she suddenly turned into a romantic girly-girl while dancing and snuggling with her man to "If You Only Knew" by Patti LaBelle. Memorable and totally fun night! I got to meet her in person too, she was pure fun.. Check out her track "This is Life" on the album "Hurricane", it's amazing.
This was so much fun to watch. All of Dame Edna’s guests looked like they were having such a great time. Tony Curtis dressed in drag in Some Like It Hot, so it was cute seeing him dancing with Dame Edna at the end.
I had only ever seen Grace Jones when she threw a tantrum on tbe Russel Harty show. This puts her in a new light and respect to her. Dame Edna is out of this world. What a woman!
Grace Jones was so different and Modeling was very Graceful!! Serious Expression whenever she Song and the voice and nonverbal was Magnificent!! Her eyes express it all!! Loved her performance’s 🎭
I saw Grace Jones in D.C. when she first started out....great show...SRO crowd! Who else could sing "I Need A Man" wearing a negligee??? What a woman!!!!
@@mawama6719 No, I met her in person. Despite the rather androgynous image she is a she and a very romantic girly-girl. maybe inform yourself as to what "show business" is.
What a great show! This is pure joy! Host is great,❤Dame Edna❤, guests are great, epic final! Thank you for posting this! Was 18 by the time this was done, discovered it at 52😂😂😂 ❤👍 Best regards from Paris France !
Grace is so entertaining and a great addition to Dame Edna! I love that Tony Curtis is there, too-- he's so lovely! I was here for Grace but I must mention, Dame's legs are gorgeous. I want them.
I never knew Grace Jones was so petite, I always thought she was tall because of the modelling industry and the James Bond movie. She is gorgeous, I love her persona.
I love me some GRACE JONES. What an Icon and to be paired off with Dame Edna was icing on the cake. As usual Edna cracks everybody up with her wit making them all comfortable because that's the power of laughter. You just feel better after a good laugh. When Grace Jones passes on she will be just as beautiful as she is now, no make up needed. Blessed with endless beauty and talent as well, her music will live on as well as Dame Edna's incredible quick wit and unique style.
Just a 👍👍 wonderful show !! Grace🥰Jones was always magnificent and Dame Edna was just the most fabulous entertainer !! Dame Edna always put on the best shows, what energy !! 😀😀😃😃😄😄😁😁
For non-Australians/Brits, the "new" Madge is from an Australian soap opera called Neighbours whose name was also Madge on that show. If you are unfamiliar with Dame Edna's shows, for a while she had an older woman called Madge who would sit on the stage and just look a bit miserable but not do much else.
I've never watched Dame Edna... S/He was freaking funny!!😂 .. though, I just clicked this because of the graceful "Mzz. Jones", and ye olde algaerythm serving me this up. Lovely thing, well done, YT.
I remember one day in the 90s when i was modeling , a New York VERY famous photographer told me. The difference between Naomi and Grace , is not the look , it is the brain .
@@Orfeus3000 I thought you were being sarcastic . If you weren't then please accept my apologies . The photographer meant that Grace and Naomi are both beautiful but Grace is an extremely bright and smart lady. Naomi is more beautiful than smart .
Morgan Olfursson I was not being sarcastic I was being honest. Both are fantastic women, of their own merits. I think it was a not so nice and unfair thing to say, especially with the age difference. Doesn’t seem it but Grace is old enough to be Naomi’s mother.
how crass 80s tv was. Yet there was a kind of innocence behind it and definitely more entertaining. Here, anything went, today Graham Nortons shows are like NASA launches, every minute detail prepped in case someones offended.

Saw her at the Hollywood Bowl after she released her wonderful "Hurricane" album and she really wowed the audience. She also played Coachella not that many years ago. Just a natural born entertainer and a wild spirit.
Barnard was 68 here, which is about what I'd have guessed. He died in 2001 of a severe asthma attack. He got skin cancer on his face after promoting the expensive anti-aging cream Glycel that he's promoting here.
Grace has an incredible genuine laugh 😂 it's because she only laughs when she finds something funny, it's never forced
I have only ever seen Grace Jones , this comfortable on an interview TWICE .. this and Joan Rivers , the only two who were not intimidated and bothered to try understand Grace without judgement !!
She was great on Alan Carr: Chatty Man
Totally agree .
@John Q. Bebtelovimab it also happened with Robin Williams...
Grace Jones looks fabulous as ever Ageless
Joan, asked silly questions and made it uncomfortable 😲
Grace Jones is a treasure, and it's great to see her so relaxed and playful here. She was the best part of the Bond film A View to A Kill.
I always remember her "attacking" Russell Harty.
@@Urko2005 That was brilliant. You don't turn your back on her.
Grace Jones was certainly enjoying herself on this show. Dame Edna puts everyone at ease.

Grace Jones looks absolutely stunning in this interview.
Grace comes across as someone that doesn't suffer fools. Dame Edna was no fool. No wonder they both had such a great time on this show.
This has got to be the most original show ever! Dame Enda is not to be to be repeated. Loved the interaction between Grace and Tony. Tony is ever the gentleman.

@@kishanalaidley653 A man by the name of Barry Humphries. He plays other characters too but I love Dame Edna the best. She's (he) so funny!🤣

How sweet was Grace at the end continuing to throw flowers while the others were linking arms to bow. Sweet thing enjoying herself so much.

Dame Edna, you’re priceless dear. I’m still laughing at your interview of Grace Jones.
we used to dance with Grace at Club Sept in Paris in the day!
She's still fabulous.
DAME AND GRACE we're the perfect dueling . Best ever. Grace didn't back down from what she was or did. You go girl!

Tony Curtis, entertainment royalty.
Love how the music video started as Dame Edna was putting the tape in the slot
What a difference to the ackward "The Russell Harty Show interview", where the BBC guy simply doesn't get it.
What a great Show !! 😅
The O.G. Naomi Campbell.
Grace beautiful
Dame Edna ,such talent …
She was one of my first crushes remember seeing Conan as a kid I was in love
Grace Jones stunning , sharp and sweet.
Grace not on drugs today dressed like a Pakistani aunty lol love it

Grace is 5’10” the few times I saw her in concert in the 80s she seemed pretty Amazonian
Grace Jones would still make an excellent Storm for an X-Men movie.

She is beautiful.
She's really not my kind, but all the same I admire her strength of character .
It feels good but it look good
😂wonderful stuff😅
