India welcomed Syriac christians. They integrated.
India welcomed Tibetans. They Integrated.
India would have had no problems with welcoming anybody. But then, the Jihadis came, enslaved India for 1000 years, destroyed temples, converted gullible people, renamed our cities and finally, at the cusp of our independence, stole our land and called it "Pakistan".
There is a reason why the peaceful community is hated, not just in India but throughout the civilized world.

As an Indian I am more than happy to have Tibetans in my country. 😀 They are peaceful. They have conserved their culture but have also integrated in India. Exactly how migrants should be. I have also visited Tibetan monastery in McLeodGanj.

@@worthit5064 Both country are building military bases there, but neither are really serious about conflicts, since both benefit more by working together economically instead, due to globalization.
India has a lot more interior issues and global issues to worry about, and Tibetan was never another minor group India Hindu populace ever wanted to care about unless they can replace it with Hindu.

@@adriangaming4853 Large numbers of refugees & immigrants are settled in Arunachal from different countries. Many people in Arunachal sees them as threats as the population of these refugees to be specific; Chakma & Hajong are larger than many Indigenous communities.
They dominate the area politically due to the size of their population.
Similarly though Tibetan are very few in number, they have The dislikes for the refugees affects them too.
There are various other reasons too.

Tibetan are no more refugees they are now Indian, most of them has India passport.
We are refugee in India, we opted to keep our identify. India is grateful for us. There are 37 settlement widely distributed in India, where Tibetan refugee live. And We are guest here, want to go back to our country. My parents escaped from Tibet in 1951 and I was born and brought up in India. And still wants to hold my Identity, I have option to apply for Indian citizenship becoz I was born before 1981, but I didn't. Majority of young tibetan want to keep thier Identity and fighting for freedom and want to go back and didn't apply for Indian citizenship. India is our second motherland.

The first indian state to provide settlement for Tibetans was the all welcoming hospitable Kannada people of Karnataka way back in 1960 .
In a place called Byalukuppe 80 kms from Mysore .The pleasant cool weather flora and fauna of the settled area resemble to a certain extent Tibet .Peaceful.coexistence is stamped all over the place .Both Kannadigas and Tibetans being peaceful ,accomodative, nonviolent has made this possible
It is still.the second largest settlement after dharmsala in himachalpradesh
Buddhists, Jains, Hindus, Sikhs can all live peacefully... only one peaceful religion has problem with that peace.

Tibetans are our people too. Indian govt should give them full citizenship, so that they don't face any difficulty or miss out on any welfare schemes. Unlike some communities, they don't want to convert, kill or harm others. Open minded, easygoing, kind hearted nice people.
