  • New Delhi: On 'The Gist', Tenzin Tsundue, Tibetan Activist & Writer in conversation with StratNews Global Associate Editor Amitabh P. Revi. On India's Tibet policy, Tenzin reiterates what he says is the Dalai Lama describing it as "overcautious", while acknowledging since 2008, India "has stopped giving China a free certificate" in its statements on 'One-China'. Though the activist points out, "India is generally much more assertive. It's much more confident of its own policies. And now it is a global player", he makes an appeal, saying that it is "important that every Indian should say the Himalayan border with Tibet is the Tibet border."
Editor's Note: This interview was recorded before China officially announced President Xi Jinping would not be attending the ASEAN & East Asia Summits in Indonesia and the G20 Summit in Delhi. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Premier Li Qiang would be representing China.
Watch this interview for more on what Tenzin has to say on the Chinese Communist Party's brutal repression and coercion in Tibet, Chinese attempts at mainstreaming the pinyin for Tibet-Xizang, India-China relations, the two times Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping have had conversations on the sidelines of the last G-20 and BRICS Summits, "China as India's enemy number one", Tibetan protests during the G-20 Delhi Summit, Chinese aggression in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh, Tibetans' position on both those Indian territories, the significant symbolism behind using the terms-Tibet border and Chinese occupied Tibet, Tibetans being inducted into Chinese PLA 'militias'', Tibetans in India's Special Frontier Force, how China cannot and should not be allowed to interfere with the Dalai Lama's succession and what many Tibetans feel about a "negotiated solution" with China.

Thanks Amitabh for bringing Tenzin Tsundue to your show. He has a very inspiring back story and his love & passion for Tibetan freedom is awe-inspiring. He is a true Tibetan hero - even though he says he is an ordinary man, he is anything but! Independent thinking rebels like Tenzin make the inhumane CCP quake in their bloody boots! Tibet will be free because karma will catch up with ungodly China sooner rather than later. India must do its part to free Tibet.

    Very well spoken for Tibet.
The courage, patiance and hope of the Tibetan people is an example to the world that how a nation puts up peaceful resistance against the might of invading and occupying force called China. Their belief in the Goodwill generated by their most revered supreme leader HH Dalai Lama for a peaceful resolution of their legitimate claim over the Tibetan land is exemplary.
The trajectory that the China is choosing is a cause of worry for the peace in the whole world.
Like Iraq and Afghanistan, the superpower interests and support are cited as the reason for the rise of China too. Going by the same trend it will be upon the same power to deal with the threat of China. The ominous signs for China will only grow stronger with time. Perhaps XP end will be decided internally moe than from outside.
Tibet will get their independence and complete sovereignty over their legitimate land.
May the words of the supreme spiritual leader come true for Tibet very soon.

On the first day of establishment of new China on 10/1/1949, the 10th Panchen Lama wrote this telegraph to congratulate the new Central Kingdom on 10/1/1949:
      Machine Translation:
"To President Mao of the Central People's Government of Beijing and Commander Zhu De of the Chinese People's Liberation Army: The scorpion is based on the wisdom of the great wisdom and the courage to save the country and the people. The whole country is full of joy, and the Panchen Lama is blessed by the country. For more than 20 years, I have been dealing with integrity of Tibet territorial sovereignty, without rest. Since result has not been obtained, I felt guilty. I will stay in Qinghai and wait for possible return. Fortunately, under your leadership, the northwest has been liberated, and the Central People’s Government has been established, we're all excited. In the future, the people’s well-being can be expected, and the country’s revival is expected. The liberation of Tibet is just around the corner. On behalf of the entire Tibetan people, please accept my supreme respect and support. " ---- The 10th Panchen Lama to the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China

Indian intellectuals of top international thinkers do know well about Tibet . But, none are as willing to speak up by choosing to stay timid and meek. That’s how British colonization broke down the spirits of the wise and wisdom filled powerful minds of great thinkers of the land of “Asoka The Great (!) “ that ; even today ; with all your economy wealth , glory and glamour hasn’t been dignified-arrogant enough to tell the world the truth. With all my love for India ; India’s well versed representatives , I sometimes find them beating around bushes when the topic on Tibet comes to the fore . As the proven records and results , brightest minds of India aren’t in India as a result . They are all over the world some are running for the top most powers of their foster land but, India. I call them intellectual refugees succeeding elsewhere ; but, India. Sorry to be so brutally honest in very naked words . This is the time for them to come back to India and lead the world. Show Beijing ; her way back to her home with Justice, in all honesty . We Tibetans did not steal our nation from anyone. Therefore; we aren’t shy to reclaim it again ; back to its innocence and moral grandeur where the physical dirt is visible from without and the spiritual cleanliness and grandeur within fills the air . Great India should be not in words from the podium where it’s only heard with no results to show on hand when it comes to Tibet .

Are Tibetans clear about their own goals? HH Dalai Lama says things which are prochina like he doesn't desire independence but autonomy. How do they expect Bharat to have a clear policy? 2:17 My god, you cannot mislead people with your false information. English term Tibet dates back to the 18th century, it's based on loanword from Semitic word Tibat, itself deriving from Turkic Tobad or Tūbātt which was first attested in 13th century. The Hindi word "तिब्बत" (Tibbat) was first attested in the 17th century, in the writings of the Mughal emperor Akbar. The term was first attestted as 吐蕃 (Tubo) in the 7th century in historical record 《唐书·吐蕃传》, in other words, term Tibet is a loanword from China. 吐蕃 can also be pronunced as Tufan, but there's only limited number of references. The term "西藏" (Xizhang) for Tibet was first attested in 1663 in historical record 《清实录》, 藏 (Tibet) was attested in the 13th century, 西 was used because of similar Manchurian pronunciation "wargi"(west) and Han Chinese pronunciation "wei"( 衛 in 衛藏). 衛藏 (Tibet) was first used in the 11th century.

I am sure what I am going to express has been spoken about before. We must also understand the Chinese point of view.
India said that Tibet was a part of China, and then questioned the border between India and Tibet as seen by China. Shouldn't India have settled the border between Tibet and India before such a declaration? Does the same disagreement exist today, as it did under the premierships of Nehru and Zhou Enlai? India has declared that Tibet is a part of China. Now will India go back on this declaration? If China redraws the border of Tibet with India, what effect will this have on Tibetans, with the Dalai Lama living in exile in India?
Did Nehru know where the McMahon line was, when he took over as PM? When did the Chinese Communist Party start negotiations with the Tibetan authorities after the independence of China? It seems that Tibet then, also saw itself as a part of China.
Because Tibetans live in Arunachal Pradesh, does that make Arunachal Pradesh a part of Tibet? Did Zhou Enlai speak about this matter with Nehru? Where does Tibet extend till, according to the Chinese? Did the Chinese Communist Party take over the reins of a national govt without borders?

  • @jatinpatel1224
    @jatinpatel1224 Před 10 měsíci

Qin Hai and Sichuan are Tibetan territories, forcefully occupation by CCP since 1959. 1954 panchsheel agreement with India required co-existence and ensure Tibet as autonomous territory. Presence of PLA in Tibet is downright not acceptable. There was no such thing as Sino-India border. This is manufactured by CCP. Albeit there is entity called Indo-Tibetan Border Force till date. Given Chinese agression, it is duty of Indian armed forces to flush PLA out of autonomous Tibet and secure peace east of Chongqing, the western theater of PLA. Uighur, Inner Mongolia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Yunnan, Manchuria are also not 1-china. Force be with exiled governance of Dalai Lama. Respect for Tenzin Tsundue. America, Europe and first world countries are with you.
Second, an attack on Taiwan is an attack on India; and there should be armed response. China has requrested India to be neutral in its war with USA!! This means one thing very clearly. CCP wants to salami slice us the Indians, as they have done with Yunnan, Manchuria, Hong Kong, Uighur, Tibet, Inner Mongolia etc. There should be no confusion on analysis for democrazians of Indian plutocracy, given the sold out Gandhi dynasty.
Conclusion - If CCP invades Taiwan, India should get involved and flush PLA out of Autonomous Tibet. Only democratic India can deliver this in best self defense interest.

This is an illusion running against reality: on daily basis India border force has to deal with Chinese army, not Tibetan army. What is the use for all the crying?

It's not crying but remembering that in near future we have to deal with sovereign Tibetan government for borders like earlier millennias.

Tibet is an inseparable part of China's territory. Since the Yuan Dynasty, the central government has always exercised effective jurisdiction over Tibet. The Tibetan people are an important member of the Chinese national family. Tibet was called "Tubo" during the Tang and Song dynasties, "Wusi Tibet" during the Yuan and Ming dynasties, and "Tanggute" and "Tubert" during the Qing dynasty. It has been known as "Tibet" since the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. On May 23, 1951, Tibet was peacefully liberated. After the Tibetan rebellion was quelled in 1959, the central government began to exercise comprehensive and direct jurisdiction over Tibet. On September 9, 1965, the Tibet Autonomous Region was officially declared established. On December 23, 2019, Tibet had basically eliminated absolute poverty and achieved overall poverty alleviation throughout the region.
