I had trouble with the sizing, the top was great. The bottoms I sized down at least 2 sizes and wasn’t happy. I believe I chose the wrong fabric in a cotton sateen and was too rigid so where it was big it was exaggerated. I wished I had tried in something like a linen weight or even a viscose. I want to love it and it looks great on all people. I need one too. I will revisit but having had that fail it’s pretty scary. It’s not the sewing it’s the sizing, 😑
I love this pattern and how stylish it looks. I have made 3 time which 2 are in linen and 1 in a wool crepe for the winter. I always have people asking me where I got this jumpsuit and the style suit a lot of different bodies.

The Zadie is much better in a soft drapey fabric, and with narrower legs.
I made the Zadie Jumpsuit in a lovely blue linen for a blazing hot 🥵 vacay to Bali!
Twice, I was stopped by other tourists in the market and complimented. It looked really chic paired with my strappy sandals and one of the many cute wicker purses I bought!

I've made it twice and love it, but I've lost patience with jumpsuits and having to use the restroom. I'm always afraid the ties will end up getting wet or on the restroom floor- yuck. So I cut the pattern and added a peplum below the ties. Then I added an elastic waist to the pants. It's just as quick to sew and looks like a jumpsuit.
Wow what a fab idea!! I know trying to get in and out of it in the loo is tricky!
@@TheFoldLine Yes, its especially tricky at work in the office bathroom. So I had to get creative.
This was on my list to make and was so excited to make it. Not sure I like it now I’ve made it though! I wear it around the house not out.

I am in the process of making this rn, after having it in my collection for years! I held off making it because the sizing runs big/oversized, which I know is the style but many people have to adjust. I recommend doing a toile, that's what I did and I sized down one size on top and three in the bottom. It's looking so great... Now onto the bias binding 😁

Middle school teacher here. I hesitate on this pattern because of the ‘wrap fly.’ I’d live to hear from makers if they have issues with gapping in this area. 🤷♀️
I agree the zip flap is odd and gaps open. Not sure I’ve made it right?!
See that "sideways vshaped" flap where the tie is? There is that same flap on the opposite side (underneath). even if the flap moves there is nothing to see because there is fabric there. I've worn this a ton and that flap stays in place because you've tied it in place. Hope this helps 😊
I’m only 5 foot tall. This made my legs look even shorter. Not flattering on my body type.
I made this pattern a couple of years ago and it was really unflattering. From the photos I’ve seen it is not flattering on most people, The rear end is baggy and the legs don’t do anyone any favors. Strictly an at-home type garment IMO!
