Welcome to my Reveal video for making the Zadie jumpsuit in collaboration with Tamlyn, from Sewn on the Tyne. I was very happy to be working together with Tamlyn on this and to be finally making such a popular pattern! If you havent watched my plans video yet watch here first:

I absolutely love how this jumpsuit came out, and wear both versions I made all the time 😊
The fabric I used was from Sew affordable for the toile, unfortunately Shirl does not have this one anymore but she always has a lovely range of fabrics at fantastic prices and you can find her here:

The gorgeous viscose twill I used was from Make at 140, again Lizzy doesn’t’ have this exact one at the moment but as with Shirl, Lizzy has an amazing range of beautiful fabrics, buttons, patterns and much more, you can find her here:

Just Beautiful!! I’m working on my 2nd Zadie……btw….I figured out my mistake with the fly!
Lovely versions ! It's heart breaking when an expensive viscose pulls isn't it! Your best friend is a matching sharpie and colour in the pulls ! I still haven't perfected the fit on the zadie but might try again !

Your jumpsuits are beautiful! I love the pattern too. Made a yellow one in an old tablecloth, that I really love the fit of. Being a busty sewist I love everything I don't have to overly fit at the bust and the Zadie is perfect for that!

I love both your Zadies. It's a pity about the Eglantine and Zoe fabric, but I do find those special viscoses can be delicate sometimes - I think it just goes with the territory.
I have a Guthrie and Ghana Zadie kit waiting to be made up and am building up to it. I am small so know I will need to take some length out of the torso, and am a bit anxious about all of that. But I am sure it will be fine and I will get to it in a few weeks. Watching this is really inspiring.

Your jumpsuits are lovely, Helen. I came here via Tamlyn’s page so I’m happy to subscribe to see your future makes. 😊 I love the Zadie, the only thing putting me off is my body size/shape. I’m 5’2” with a short torso and rounded mummy tummy. Not sure it would work with a big tummy. 😞

I love both of your Zadie's. It is such a shame about that the fabric pulls so easily. I love the look of the Eglantine et Zoe fabrics I do actually have one waiting for me to decide what to make. Great versions, how tall are you Helen? I’ve not made it yet (despite having the pattern for ages 😂) I’m 5ft 4ins so I’m thinking I might need to shorten the rise a bit. Great vid x

I have the Zadie on my list too but didn't know which fabric to use. But I just happen to have a lovely blue and white fabric sitting beside me just now, that has a sort of Moroccan tile effect, that I think would make a gorgeous Zadie. I'm considering making the binding out of a corresponding navy blue fabric for an accent. What do you think? Would that look nice, or would I be better off using the same blue and white fabric for the binding,?
I think that would be fabulous Linda! Your fabric sounds beautiful and every version I’ve seen with a complimenting colour binding look really good so I would definitely say go for it! And thanks for watching 😊❤️
