Another fantastic Elvis song supported by your comments throughout which not only give us the fans a genuine reaction to the video but also intelligent insights which are highly informative and entertaining! Mike, you are a natural.
Looking forward to more Elvis from your channel whenever possible :)
From the Aloha from Hawaii show, ( not the rehearsal ) if it is at all possible, American Trilogy, I'll Remember You and It's Over are three fantastic songs/performances.
    Thanks again Mike.

Backed up by a Rock Band, Male Southern Gospel Quartet, Female Black Gospel Quartet (The Sweet Inspirations) plus other backup songers like KathyWestmoreland. Some shows had a full orchestra with music arranged and conducted by Beach Boys arranger Joe Guercio. Such a wealth of talent on that stage!

Even in his last shows where he was sick and overweight, he was able to summon up some outstanding performances. Check out him singing “How Great Thou Art” or “Unchained Melody” Live in Concert in 1977 just two months before he died.

You're right that rhythm section is pure fire 🔥 his face off with Ronnie Tutt is something else. 8 backing singers, spot on, his voice and body is filtering them all. He is conducting them with that lithe body and sexy hips of his.
What a powerhouse. And a very very funny man. I think the single was recorded in 1969. Look up Alice Cooper's story of meeting Elvis on... Buzzcocks.

Already, you are one of the best commentators I have heard on Elvis. You really pick up on all Elvis embodied-he was music incarnate. He always viewed his voice, talent as a gift from God that he had a responsibility to make people happy with…which is why I think he was humble. He also saw his stage performance as a total collaboration-it was “we” never “me”. He would always tell his backup singers and musicians thank you for letting me share a stage with you-especially his dear friend JD Stamps, who sang base, and was a dear friend from back when Elvis was 14 years old.

In those days going to a Vegas show was suite and tie as though you were at the opera. He was directing the band. He'd been doing Vegas in the 50's, as he said it was 3 shows a night in the lounge. I believe the black singers were Sweet Sensation with Sissy Houston. He'd lose weight on each performance, twice a night.

I find the vegas years hard to watch knowing how he was enslaved to col tom the fraud. Elvis was 1 in a billion talent, he was desperate to grow and travel with his music and band. I seen Him in 1974 when I was in 4th grade and seen Him again in 1976 and I've been the biggest fan since. The band follows His lead and They had that down to a T esp the drummer Ronnie Tut.Thats why He is in 5 Hall Of F ames and sold over 1.5 billion records and recorded over 750 songs. And is in the Guinness Book Of Records He has more History than a History book.and no one comes close,He could sing any genre of music and go real high or real low and could not stand and just sing and weather He was dancing or throwing Karate kicks He was always moving. If You can make sure to watch Him Live as just listening to Elvis You don't get to see all the things He does from the dancing to doing comedic things and changing words in His songs to see if the Audience would pick up just like in this video wen He said shove it up Your nose lol You were the 1st reactor I seen that caught that.Never take Your eyes off Him and listen to Every word or You will miss something. He had it all and is still more relevant today than any name out there including today's top auto tune I mean singers lol.No auto tune back then that all original voice. The 68 comeback special is a great place to start.Any live videos of Him at the Las Vegas Hilton and His Special Aloha from Hawaii where it went out on sattelite and was seen in 40 countries by 1.5billion ppl in 1973 so any video from that show. You have a long way to go as He recorded over 750 songs.Love the Reaction and Channel good day to You

Did you notice he was wearing the Concho jumpsuit but @ very end he was in the Chain suit w-brown leather tabs -- I guess MGM thought no one would notice. It is August 1970 & is one of the performances filmed by MGM & on a DVD entitled "That's The Way It Is" also known as TTWII; filmed over 6 different performances in the Main Lounge of the International Hotel in Vegas. He had the best of the best -- singers, band, orchestra -- an amazing group.
BACKGROUND INFO: Written by Mark James in '68, it is based on one night when James was fooling around on his guitar & came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James' wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."

I don’t mind you talking through it, or even stopping & starting it, but it’s not great when it’s fast forwarded in two or three spots, especially as this is a performance considered to be iconic, & was even included in the new Elvis movie. Elvis was actually at his peak in the early Vegas period. He was performing incredibly well, physically, vocally, emotionally, & mentally. It’s in his latter Vegas period 1975 when he was suffering from clinical depression, due to his decline in health, leading to weight gain, & 1976 & 77, leading up to his death, that some people show just how cruel human beings can really be. You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling in 1970 Las Vegas, is a great performance …. Also, another athletic action performance is Polk Salad Annie in 1970 Las Vegas …. & there are some wonderful performances in the Aloha from Hawaii 1973 Live Concert, such as My Way & You Gave Me A Mountain.

REACTION REQUEST: I really enjoy your Elvis reactions. You pick up on many things others do not. Elvis is a consummate show man. He said, very early in his career, if he didn’t put on a show for the people who pay to see him, they may as well save their hard earned money and stay home to listen to his records. He epitomised that sentiment right through to his last concert. Many people don’t fully appreciate what an exceptional vocalist Elvis was. This request, for a song from his 1973 Aloha From Hawaii concert via satellite, shows Elvis at his vocal best. What No, My Love ….. here is a link for the song from the official concert beamed live to many countries around the world, the first time this was done with a solo artist. It is an outstanding concert and performance. czcams.com/video/MaURJJlmWYI/video.html
