    I am really glad that I found this video. It has helped me so much as how to hoop a ball cap. I have a BMP8 or BMP9 and cap hoop is same as yours. I kept relying to get cap in really smooth and you showed me that I will have a little gap. Thank you so much!!! 😀👍

    The little black piece is the "needle plate spacer". I only know this because I put my hat hoop on for the first time today! LOL. I guess it needs a little space with the hat hoop.

    I got the hat hoops and driver in a bundle when I bought my PR680W. I'm so intimidated right now about it. I'm just starting out in embroidery and I do have an entry level embroidery machine PE700 and a PE800. I really ant to grow my local business!

    Thank you sew much for the video! I need to do this for my husbands horseshoe league. Unfortunately I bought “structured” hat’s because this time of Covid stock is limited and that’s what I could get. I’m definitely subscribed and will go on your instagram as well! Thank you!

    Thank you for this video, I have just gotten started and hats are going to be my primary aim. I have other branches that I work with including laser engraving and leather patches so I figure embroidered hats will flow well.
    Anyway, I have recently ordered some pony tail hats The criss cross and some of the strap back hats. The problem Im facing is that the hats want to move down on the hoop when I place the bill in the bill clip thing. Im going to try another one this evening when I get home. If you have any tips on these hats I would appreciate it. They are very soft and "worn" looking.
    Thank you

    Hi Kelly. I just got finished watching your video on embroidering hats. You mentioned you had a video on embroidering the back of the caps. I can’t find that video anywhere. Can you lead me in the right direction? Thank you. Can’t get enough of your videos.

      Hmmmmm....maybe I just imagined that I did. I only do them on unstructured hats and I just use my durkee ez frame that is kind of U shaped with sticky stabilizer. I actually do them all the time so I'll be sure to film next time I have some. Thanks so much for watching. Your support is so very appreciated!

    Who do you use to do your digitizing for a hat?
    I have had 3 different people do the same design and none of them will start from bottom center 😢

    Hey: I love your tutorials and the way that you explain everything. I have the same machine that you have. Im recently retired and I want to start my embroidery business. I have a request from a family member to do some hats. I don't want to spend a lot of money on that hat frame, because Im starting and this hoop is expensive. You mention that you have use Durkee frames to embroidery hats. Is that the best option, after the one that you demonstrated in your video? Do you have any video on how to do it? Thanks and be blessed.

    • @1922project
      @1922project  Před 2 lety

      I think the only video I have doing hats with the Durkee frames is on the back of hats. As long as the hats are unstructured they should work great on a durkee frame! There are tons of other videos here on youtube and I'll definitely make a video next time I do one that way! Good luck and keep me posted!

    When you put the needle position back after putting the hoop on, do you put it to centre, or do you put it to the top centre. You also pulled down the needle near the centre seam, but does it make a difference which thread is the first to stitch. Should I baste first to make sure it is centered? I already wasted some hats.

    • @1922project
      @1922project  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't think it really matters which needle position you stop on BUT it definitely matters which needle you pull down to check center-you're absolutely correct! If I'm unsure I just go into my machine and click on the needle that I want to use for placement. I don't baste at all, I'd actually be concerned that might make it worse. Keep practicing! I promise it gets easier!

      These were actually purchased by the customer and sent to me. I personally use S&S apparel as much as possible. They ship super fast and since they are in Texas they arrive almost immediately for me.
