The steering was not aligned after they put on the leveling kit as you guys can see in the video. But I am happy to report the dealership did pay to have it aligned at my local dealership once I got home and now it drives perfect. How they forgot to align it? Your guess is as good as mine. On the new 5th gens you normally do have to align them if the level was done correctly. I got a 2.5” level in my and it was never aligned and it drives true and straight. Also be careful with offset/tires pointing past the fenders. My black 5th gens paint is destroyed from just gravel roads. Great looking truck tho! You’ll love everything about it other than the paint quality!

From my experience with my 15 Laramie and a 20 Laramie.. any leveling kit must have an adjustable track bar... if not, when you lift it pulls the front axle to the driver's side about a ¼".. meaning that your front axle isn't centered under the truck or in line with rear axle. Check out Thuren they know everything about the Rams. Just my 2 cents, it's not a fix that can be done with an alignment. Love the truck man

Any dark color will easily show damage. Lighter the color, the more forgiving the paint is.

Nice! Ive got the same truck but a 2020 6.4 gas. Have to use a foam prewash or it'll show every little fine scratch it has from dirt. Once thats paint corrected and ceramic coated it'll look outstanding. 👍
Bought the exact same truck but in mega cab configuration. Drove 24 hours from California to Louisiana. Once there, like you, found some scuffs and scratches that I was not happy about. But considering the drive, the sweetness of the truck and the hospitality of the dealer I drove off the lot 70 grand out the door. Would have been a 90 thousand dollar truck in California.
Looks like it needs an alignment from the level kit with the crooked steering
it will need a adjustable track bar on the front to correct this.

I see the dealer didn't take the time to make sure the steering wheel was straight for you when you go down the road. If I was you I would be checking to see if the Truck was Properly Aligned since they did alter the suspension. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't do it at all.

I just bought the same model yesterday. Only difference is that mine is a 2019 Ram 2500 HD Laramie Crew Cab 6.4L Hemi Gas. Running lights and exterior look identical (minus the leveling kit and tires - I'll get that soon). The interior is identical as well. This is my 4th Ram. Love these trucks! I'm in Dallas, Georgia. 🤘 Nice truck, man!

I've got a black 2020 3500 H.O. SRW Limited w/ the Night package. I had some swirling and scratching as well(as you say, all 3 brands suffer from this). I was super upset because I actually ordered my truck with the exact options I wanted and waited 4 months for it. But my dealer took care of me considerably, especially after I almost walked away from it. My truck rides and drives like a dream. But I didn't want to chance anything with the CP4.2 pump and got the CP3 kit from Industrial. But your 2021 should be good to go since Ram went back to CP3. You are gonna love that thing. #cumminslife

Those are swirls from the defects that they fixed going down the finesse line. Very common. You can fix with a 2000 grit MIRKA sander and then polish it out. Good buy!

Yeah while wages were $1/hour so you only had to work around 1250 8 hour days(approx 4 years of work) to afford a $10k house and now that same house is just about or right at $1mil and wages are $20/h requiring 50,000(approx 21 years) working hours to afford the same house....even at $500k we have to work 11+ years. I had 50 hours of paint correction, and ceramic coated on mine. All the paint in the wheel wells washed off at 2500 miles

I have the exact same truck leveled on 35's can you tell me what spacers are on it ? with the factory wheels and the extfenders that come on the truck they sort of sink in . please let me know .

Only thing changing on the Ford Super Duty interior is the 12" screen. Everything else is relatively the same in materials, no seat changes, etc. Was disappointed to find out it's not getting the new F150 interior which is a lot nicer. Current '19 F250 driver here probably switching to Ram in the next week or so.

Install a Carli leveling kit. They use progressive rear leafs that give you car-like ride w/more travel and yet great on-road ride.

I know how you feel... I got a 2020 Ram 1500 Limited, bright white color and it has swirls and scratches all up on it. 72K truck and I got it for 60K. Just need some buff and cut and be good to go, just clear coat light light swirls.

Those scratches look like the kinds you get by using a soft touch automatic car wash. my 2017 durango rt has them, but they buffed out pretty easy

What are the black panels on your roll up doors? Are they insulation? If so what kind? I recently built a shop and spray foamed the shop But I need to insulate the doors before I put in air-conditioning and heat

I apologize that the truck had really bad defects on the paint. I know it’s a thing with Rams that they use that special coating on their brand-new trucks. The 2500 Laramie with the 6.7L Cummins is such a phenomenal truck. The 6.7L Cummins is such a beautiful motor. The biggest reason why I love the Cummins is the engine brake. It sounds so good. I did like the 6.7L Powerstroke until finding out how bad that cruise control is. So I would definitely go for a Ram.

I just wish Ram would make around the touch screen look better. Looks so cheap and like an afterthought with those cheap buttons down each side. Hoping the next year will have a better set up for the big screens.

I have a 06 dodge 3500 but I always wanted to get one of the newer ram 5500 one day but the only reason I hesitate on getting something newer is all the emission stuff which is why I would keep my 3500 as a back up just in case.
I really hope I like my 2021 ram 2500 Cummins, I’m coming from a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 duramax that was a fast truck IMO. I only got the bighorn but I got the rv match walnut color I wanted so I’m happy. Honestly I’m buying it because I’ve never owned a Cummins. Being delivered Saturday. You have a beautiful truck there

Mine also came like that from factory and I had already bought it, they days were rainy so I couldn’t see anything till the sun came out and I was able to see imperfection more than normal all around the truck and this paint scratches easily too
