    ▬ Expert tip:▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Clean your bike as soon as you finish a ride! It is much easier to wash fresh dirt off your bike straight after a ride. It'll be much quicker to clean before it has had time to settle.
It's always best to wash your bike outside.
► Step One: Preparing to clean your bike. What's needed?
You will need two brushes: one with soft bristles, the other with hard bristles. A sponge would also work. We also recommend using a bicycle cleaning product. And finally, we'll need two cloths.
► Step Two: A thorough clean
Spray your cleaning product liberally over your bike - taking care not to get any on your rotors or brake pads. Turn the bike upside down to make sure you cover every angle. Give the product some time to do its job. Then hose your bike down thoroughly. Please don't use a jet wash; this could damage your bike's bearings.
► Step Three: A fine clean
Spray the bike once again with your cleaning product to make sure that any really stuck-on, stubborn mud is loosened. Now use your soft-bristled brush and a bucket of warm water to scrub your bike clean. Please don't scrub the disc brake rotors or pads, and make sure you don't touch the chain either.
► Step Four: Cleaning the drivetrain
Hold the brush with the hard bristles at the back of the cassette and slowly turn the cranks backwards with your other hand so that you can clean every bit of the chain. Useful tip: Use a flat-head screwdriver and hold it next to the side of the jockey wheel. As you turn the cranks backwards again, you will remove any remaining dirt from the jockey wheels. Now you're back at the rinsing stage.
► Step Five: Drying your bike and chain once cleaned
Use a cloth to dry your bike carefully, making sure no water droplets are left on the frame. Use your second cloth to dry the chain. Wrap it around the chain with your hand, and pedal backwards again. Do two or three full circles of the chain so that it's definitely dry.
► Step Six: Oiling your chain
Oil the chain evenly with a special bicycle oil Watch out: Don't use too much oil otherwise your chain will quickly attract dirt. Leave the oil to work into the chain for a few minutes. Then remove any excess oil with your cloth.
    Now your bike is clean!
