- In this video I will take to the highest administrative village in China - Tuiwa. Characertized by its mesmerizing and mystic surroundings, temples, and people, this village is a melting point of Tibetan culture.
I then further continued to Yadong County a border town embedded between Indian's Sikkim and Bhutan, which luckily was on a lower altitude. So I could finally breath normally.

Under every normal video taken of China, there are always Indians who are angry that it is CCP propaganda, it is hard for Indians to accept that the people of a country with a per capita gdp six times that of India are doing better than they are, and it is even harder for them to accept that remote Tibet/Xinjiang in China is cleaner than India.

18:14 Did he say "namaste"?! As someone who had a work related to the Indian side of Indo-Chinese border areas for over a decade, it was really nice to see life on the other side of border. Hopefully the issues between the two countries will improve and both sides benefit from each other. It's really impressive to see the infrastructure development across the border. Hopefully you'll get to see the beautiful landscapes and culture on the Indian side too.

The mountain lake between these towering mountain crests... even seeing this just in your video, it makes once feel tiny and just like a guest in nature.
We humans like to think of ourselfs as such a pinnacle of evolution, but these mountains they have existed longe before us and they will exist long after we are gone. It puts things in perspective.
I wish I might see this overwhelming beauty of nature with my own eyes one day!

alot of the problems plaguing the world today can be attributed to the british 'divide and rule' strategy when they left their colonies. China-india and india-pakistan problems are two such examples.
As an Indian you should be keenly aware that this isn’t the Chinese homeland, but rather an independent, temporarily-occupied nation, which the Chinese use to apply geopolitical and strategic pressure on India’s northern borders.
Tibet is the sacred homeland of a proud and peaceful people who protected and perfected Indian Buddhism for thousands of years while India was under assault and subjugated by aggressive and brutal Islamic and British expansion, which has always been a close partner of India in trade and philosophy, rather than a constant and perfidious geopolitical rival.
The Tibetan Empire was an regional superpower during the early Middle Ages, even defeating the Tang empire and occupying its capital, until both it and the Chinese were subsumed by the Mongols, and within the religiously liberal Mongol sphere of influence, Tibet enjoyed a more or less independent and flourishing existence within an equal partnership based on the traditional “priest-patron” (མཆོད་ཡོན, chö-yön) relationship, the Mongol and Manchurian emperors being the patron, or earthly, temporal rulers of the kingdom, while the Tibetans under the Dalai Lama represented the opposite and equal half of the relationship, the priest, or heavenly, spiritual rulers of the kingdom. This relationship lasted until the Qing state collapsed, at which point Tibet declared its absolute independence once again, as many world nations did in this period, which it retained until it was brutally invaded by the Chinese in the 40s and 50s, its people and patrimony subject to genocide and cultural erasure as part of the Maoist “cultural revolution”.
It remains occupied to this day, and the Chinese regime continues to oppress the Tibetans and destroy their cultural life, landmarks, and legacy, jailing, killing, or forcing into harsh state labor camps any Tibetans who exercise their natural religious freedom and loyalty to His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, and transporting vast amounts of ethnic Han workers and colonists to occupy and transform Tibetan cities into “Disneyfied” hollow amusement parks for tourists to make videos like this one.
Tibet is in no way the “homeland” of this CZcamsr. It is a recently-occupied, peace-loving independent nation that shares deep cultural and historical bonds with India, while the occupier is India’s greatest and most minacious geopolitical rival.

@@AvanaVana Bunch of usual nonsense. Tibet is occupied all right, by India. At least part of it. In February 1951, three and a half years after India was created out of the polity left behind by the British Raj, India invaded and annexed Tawang and completed the gobbling up of South Tibet. Tawang is the Sixth Dalai Lama's birthplace and home to the four hundred years old Tawang monastery. Today South Tibet is restless and is ruled by India with an iron hand. A law called AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Power Act) is imposed on South Tibet. AFSPA gives India the power to detain or kill anyone with impunity. It is a law designed to snuff out any dissent. AFSPA is imposed on regions India deemed 'disturbed', such as South Tibet and Kashmir. In 1987 India created a state out of South Tibet and renamed it to the so-called Arunachal Pradesh.
I put the timeline here to underscore that this land grabbing is purely Indian and has nothing to do with the British.
South Tibet is not the only land grab by India. In 1975 India invaded and annexed Sikkim, a neighbor of China that had coexisted peacefully with China for several hundreds of years before it was gobbled up by India. As a neighbor of China, Sikkim was particularly close to China. In the 18th century Sikkim was briefly overran by the Gorkhas and the Sikkim king seek China's help. The Qianlong emperor dispatched an expedition force to Sikkim to expel the Gorkhas and restore Sikkim's independence and sovereignty. Sikkim was left unmolested until it was gobbled up by India, a country that historically does not exist and only came into existence because of the British.
Free South Tibet (so-called Arunachal Pradesh) from the artificial country India.
@@AvanaVana I might added that Indians should be grateful to the British because if not for the British the subcontinent today will be a mishmash of thousands of fiefdoms that are at each other's throat. The British have spent an inordinate amount of energy to create a country and gifted it to you people and once you have a country India starts land grabbing, just like its old master. The problem of India has nothing to do with geopolitical rivalry but has everything to do with its low IQ population with an imperial mindset. This is the reason India is hated in its own neighborhood by pretty much every of its neighbors save China and Bhutan. China simply didn't think much of India, and Bhutan was too afraid to speak up lest they became the second Sikkim.

I went to Lhasa when I was in college, at age 20. I remember the shock to the system when I got off the plane from Chengdu. I also recall the blinding sun. I am 41 now, quite overweight, and I don't know if I could handle such altitude. Tuiwa for sure would be out of my limit. Glad I had the chance to visit, Tibet is so wonderfully beautiful!

The government built roads and new houses for Tibetan in the above village. It involves 66 households and costs 70 million. Moving truck is taken care of by the government. Even furniture are provided for free. There are many such new villages for ethnic minorities there.

This new village is for Menba people in Tibet. Some infrastructure was still under construction but a few families moved in after water was turned on.

After watching so many of her previous episodes, it really drives home how taxing it must be to visit these high-up places. Even at the lower altitudes, her energy is low. At the highest altitude, she had noticeable brain fog and lethargy.
My toxic trait is that I think I could do better when I can barely function at sea level.
