Outstanding production! The 1976-1981 and the 1981-1993 logos were my childhood. 1993's "state-of-the art logo" made me think Columbia was a new company when I saw it on VHS Columbia, movies. Bravo!
This year is the 100th anniversary of Columbia Pictures. Prior to this, Columbia started way back in 1890 as a phonograph company that made wax cylinders and a Columbia phonograph where they were competing with Edison which was the first company which was founded by Thomas Edison where he invented in 1877. By 1908, Columbia gave up wax cylinders to go with the disc records to compete with the Victor phonograph known for its Victrola brand, and then, after the record company, came Columbia Pictures in 1924, and in 1927, just three years after the movie studio, they started its own radio network called the Columbia Broadcasting System, better known as we all know today, as CBS. And now, we got three different Columbia companies, a record label, a movie studio, and a radio network. Just like they did with RCA, first an electronics company, and then a record label, and mascot named Nipper the Dog where it was first introduced by the Victor Talking Machine Co. in 1901 where it became the company’s first mascot where Nipper listens to a Berliner Gramophone, but it was originally an Edison Phonograph where Nipper was listening to, but it got scrapped and replaced by the Berliner Gramophone where it became iconic for the company.
I love the Columbia Logos from ( 1976 - 1981!) ❤❤ and I like the Columbia statue lady logo from (1981 - 1998! ) My favorite Columbia logo where the woman hits the zombies with her torch from the movie Zombieland Double Tap ! Great job in the production of these Columbia logos! 😂😂😂🤩🤩👍👍👍😍😍🤣🤣🤣!
