If you have not seen the Star Wars series Rebels, it is high time you see it. It is directly connected to stories regarding Mandalore, Bo Kattan, the dark saber, Grand Admiral Thrawn, an important cameo in this episode, the alien who talked to Carson, called Zeb, and important back story for the Ahsoka show.
also need clone wars which is act one rebels is act 2 and act 3 is in mando with act 4 being the ahsoka show and likely the end of the story ark

Bo shows over and over that she is a natural leader. The Armorer is correct in following her.
Gorian Shard's men fired at the Kowakian Monkey Lizards. So it's fitting that they helped the Mandalorians by pointing towards their "possible ambush" which they were smart enough to take heed 😅😏😉👍.
There's a Mandalorian spinoff about Bo-Katan in the works. I think they are setting that up on this episode.

Really hoping the cameo in this episode and everything with Bo-Katan in this season convinces Mary to start watching Clone Wars and Rebels.
I think the Mando who liberated Gideon hasn't been seen yet but it has been teased since the beginning of the season that there's gonna be a Mandalorian villain! In the opening credits where you see the helmets in blue for the heroes and red for the villains you see a Mando helmet in red at the end of the sequence. What's the chances that it could be the Imperial Super Commandos from Rebels?
We've already seen the Purrgil and now Zeb (confirmed) so it's not unreasonable to think we'll see them before seeing Sabine in the lead up to Ahsoka. The next three episodes are gonna be interesting!
I take it you haven't watched Rebels. Otherwise you wouldn't have edited out Garazeb Orreluos.
This episode was awesome to see all the Mandalorians return and saving Navarro from pirates was epic.
The land area that Karga gave the Mandalorians gives honor to the original Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bulloch (Bulloch Canyon).
Paz's speech choked me up... He spoke with conviction and courage, a true Mandalorian. I just fear he might die now, all side characters I've grown to love die on me and I'm not ready 😢
Besides if Bo Kataan needs to take a bath again in the Living Waters, she can just go back to Mandalore again and dive in it. The point is that it shouldn't be difficult to bath into the Living Waters again once they learned that Mandalore's accessible again despite being glassed.
Just to let you know: Some Mandalorians were loyal to the Empire and they possibly could be the ones that took Moff Gideon

Or it could be a diversionary tactic, intended to mislead New Republic investigators. Don't forget that Imperials looted Mandalore for its beskar steel, and Mando got his own beskar in trade from an Imperial officer. Let's also not forget that Gideon is a sneaky bastard.
I have a feeling that Din and Bo-Katan will lead all of Mandalore together 🤔🤩😎!

The crew that sprung Gideon has to be Bo-Katan's crew from last season, probably working as mercenaries so it'll be interesting to see if Bo can get them on side or not
Glad to see Zeb is safe and sound pre Empire. Zeb for people who hasn't seen Rebels is one of the main crew members of the Ghost the ship featured in Rebels and a big part of Phoenix Cell the Rebel Cell we follow throughout the show. Steve Blum returns to voice Zeb who is well known in the voice acting industry being well known as the voice of Wolverine in modern media.
Hear alot of people believing that the Mandalorians took Gideon but my theory relates to Thrawn and how his forces could be using Beskar weapons. The Magistrate a loyal agent of Thrawn wielded a Beskar spear so it's most likely that she got that weapon from Thrawn. Also heard rumours that Thrawns Stormtroopers will be golden laced like the art of Kintsugi. Maybe these will be Beskar who know. Could also just be a different group of Mandalorians we've yet to see in the show so if that's the case then Mando on Mando would be a fun concept to watch.
This would be “post” empire.
Thranw's also intelligent enough to frame his opponents in order to sow distrust.
Steve Blum is also famous for voicing Cowboy Bebop's main character: Spike Spiegel. He's got a truly famous voice, that a lot of people will recognize.
This episode shows something that the Mandalorians had gotten wrong for centuries.
No-one can lead alone. If you put all your trust in one person and they make mistakes, everybody will pay for it.
Din is not a great leader, but he inspires loyalty.
Bo is not a great leader, but she is a great strategist.
Paz is not a great leader, but he can be very persuasive.
All three together may make a great leader.
Mandalore is not a planet. It is a people. It has always been a people.
Easily the best of the season so far. From the easter eggs to the amazing action and the goosebumps Bo ending.... this was great!
Two theories. Moff Gideon is gonna have his own sect of extremist Mandalorians who never witnessed him losing the saber. Or The Armorer and Paz will demand Djarin to execute Gideon personally or fight over the sword with Bo Katan
Or... the Beskar was a setup to get the New Republic, and the Mandalorians, fighting each other, instead of combatting him united.

No matter what that bit of bskar stuck in the wall just seems too convenient and from what I have seen, Mandalorians treasure their armor especially bskar, and dont forget that the sneaky elia probably has turned some folks, in her sweet way of course, and got the details for moths trip and relayed this to her IMperial contacts; GAT perhaps? Remember all those Imperial fighters?

This episode is probably my favorite of the season so far. My second favorite would have to be last week’s episode.
I’ll admit I was weirded out that the Armorer made an exception for Bo-Katan to remove her helmet, but at least now she can fulfill her calling and regroup the exiled Mandalorians to reclaim their homeland.
What I really loved about this episode is that Paz gained a new level of respect for Din. Paz caught me off-guard for a moment, but then he reminded me Din and Bo saved his son Ragnar.

Things are warming up nicely. After they rescued his son, Paz Vizsla has been 100% in Din & Bo-Katan's corner.
Yes, the Armorer is badass. Remember how she took all those storm troopers out with just her blacksmith tools.

MC, you have got to watch Rebels. it's basically a prequel for The Mandalorian at this point, and it will be vital when Ashoka comes out because it will tie in directly to Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.
Apparently Paz Vizsla is Pre Vizsla's nephew 🤔🤯!

So basically since Din didnt kill Gideon then teqnically gideon is still considered the real leader by other mandalorians
But he defeated him in combat
As the armorer said I believe it was in an episode of The Book of Boba Fett that ownership of the saber can only be won through combat. Didn’t say the person had to die. For example Gideon didn’t kill Bo-Katan when she lost the saber so that would mean that Bo-Katan is the true owner of the dark saber if they’re supposed to kill the owner.
I’m wondering if bo katan took mod gidion. I’m thinking maybe that’s why they bombed her home because they know. So I think it’s going to be a big conflict after her being appointed to unite everybody. I think they’ll find out that she took moff.
Moff Gideon had the Darksaber by right and so there were Mandalorians who followed him. Its not a stretch to assume that Moff Gideon still has Mandalorians who are loyal to him.

The season is definitely back on track and gaining momentum. The last two episodes have been much better - and much more like classic Star Wars

Yeah you really need to watch Star Wars: Rebels. That tall purple guy near the beginning of the episode was Garazeb Orrelios, AKA Zeb. He was an important member of the Ghost Crew who were the main characters of the show, which The Mandalorian is also a sequel to.

💯Best episode of the season yet! We only got to see Mandalorians fighting together against humanoid enemies in season 1 episode 3, and that was only a couple of minutes. But now people who have never seen Clone Wars or Rebels can finally see why Mandalorians are the most badass warriors in the galaxy. And now that the Armorer has seen that their ways might need to evolve, Bo-Katan truly might be the one to unite all of Mandalore.
Also seeing the whole battle sequence makes me want a Mandalorian game very VERY BADLY!

Din is more or less an extra in his own series, it reminds me of another guy in a helmet in an other show with his name in the title ...

Hey, you should check out The Legend of Vox Machina cartoon. The critters (fans) are very welcoming. They are called critters because the cartoon comes from a CZcams channel called Critical Role.
Critical Role has a bunch of "nerdy-ass" voice actors who play Dungeons and Dragons every Thursday.
Plot twist. Grief karga was supposed to be boba fett and jabbas palace was supposed to be the new mandalorian home. But Kathleen Kennedy said otherwise

1. Unlikely but... maybe Sabine and Ashoka took Gideon. (In preparation for setting up the Ashoka show.) Gideon is in collaboration with Thrawn which is why Ashoka would possibly have something to do with this and maybe an excuse to have live action Bo-Katan meeting with Ashoka.
2. This one feels more likely. It's super understandable why someone would want to frame the Mandalorians. Maybe Gideon's rescuers put beskar there intentionally. We know for a fact that a united Mandalore rising and returning is a threat to former Imperial loyalists and Gideon. They wouldnt want to see them all united.
Something sus is at play, almost like there's something among us...

Ugh, I found the chia-pirate so irritating.
I liked it and the season, but I think it's too many storylines for 8 episodes...
This episode was horrible. After all the work of getting to the waters to redeem Din, now apparently the all-important Mandalorian creed of not showing one's face, don't mean so much to the Armorer? Now all of sudden she believes Bo-Katan's story about the Mythosaur - how would the armorer know Bo-Katan's motives are pure? She's the chosen one now? She's known her like a week! The armorer is charged first and foremost with protecting her people.
Using the hammer as a "talking stick" wasn't funny just cringe... as was that entire "pep talk" scene. I had high expectations for learning about Mandalorian culture that the show just isn't meeting. They are basically just power rangers practicing military exercises all day. Yes it's a fictional world not to be taken too seriously - but how the hell would these guys maintain their weapons and equipment living in a desolate cave with few other resources? They don't even conserve their resources... when that alligator monster showed up, why not just leave and go somewhere else. You want to waste half your weapons instead of a bit of rocket fuel?
The dog fights in the show, while graphically stunning, are always ruined by the fact that all good guys are great fighters/pilots and all bad guys are terrible fighters/pilots. Maybe have a bad guy out maneuver a good one every once in a while? The "pirate king" is such a moron that he send all fighters after a single rogue ship, leaving himself exposed to an obvious attack by additional ships? Did this guy just get his job last week? Terrible writing.
And when we see all the town's people moved to the cave - so this giant city has about 50 people living in it? LOL. Isn't this city supposed to be wealthy? Why didn't the high magistrate buy some weapons first? With all his extensive prior experience, and all he can do is beg for help with a hologram?
The idiots that break Moff Gideon out of prison, leave the ruptured prison floating in space as evidence? Maybe destroy it? The brilliant Moff Gideon doesn't consider this?
I'm glad at least IGN had the sense to give this bad episode only a 6. While it shouldn't bother me that so many people enjoyed it (don't want to rain on their parade) but it's like, are these people so simple minded that they are incapable of noticing such glaring flaws? Because that's awfully depressing. This show used to be incredible. Season 3 has been horrible.
Maybe is not a popular opinion, but I think this is the weakest season of the three. :-(
