I'm really sorry. But I'm sat here with my American girlfriend in her home (Rochester,NY) she comes to visit me in my hometown, Bristol, all the time and we find this hilarious. You literally did the Triangle, and got a bus journey that is a 4 minute walk. What I'm trying is, you got bus for a 0.2 mile walk.
Great that you've done a video but you missed a huge amount of places, you've walked a tiny bit of whiteladies rd and queen's rd, you havent been down beautuful park street via college green into the city centre where youll find the cathedral, city hall, narrow quay, the old city and st nicks Market, the entire harbourside with the famous SS great Britain and Matthew ships., oldy worldy king street and queen square, St Mary Redcliffe Church, castle park ..and theres much much more beyond those just for starters! You didnt show us beautiful Clifton village and the suspension bridge? Theres also Gloucester rd with hundreds of independent shops..

Yep, I definitely saw the hills there right outside the city as well and mentioned the hike in one of my videos about Bath. I meant hilly as far as cities go in the UK: I heard Bristol is the only hilly one and there aren’t many hills in the UK, but that could be incorrect info, just going off what I heard 🤷♂️Thanks!
@@Mikeintown The UK - England, Cornwall, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland all have PLENTY of hills, LOL. Edinburgh is built on an extinct volcano! Clearly, you have been misinformed, possibly by a Londoner...
This area is lovely but is not representative of Bristol as a whole. Go a couple of miles south/west and east you will see the terraced houses in the overpopulated towns with plenty of hand car washes/vape shops/Turkish barbers/Kebab establishments etc. Central areas are great if you are a student or visiting etc, but as a adult living and working it’s really not that good due to overpopulation and living costs.
It's a normal city then! Bristol isn't over populated, the areas you describe I'm guessing St George and Lawrence hill are low income and migrant based areas. They have their own charm and city life style I admit, but without these areas as they are no city would function. Thriving cities will always have areas that feel crowded and tacky. Once you get past St George and Troopers hill your out into the sprawling suburbs of Hanham, longwell green etc, where there are nature reserves, steam trains and narrowboats.
Visit Christmas steps while you are in the city. UK doesn't have many hills!! LOL...Check out the Peak District and the Lake District
I agree that Bristol would do well to have some trams (streetcars). The city is perfect for it!

You didn't notice the hills in Bath???!! The centre may be flat, but it is in the middle of seven, very steep hills - try walking up just one.

I just looked up the word “Lido.” Sounds similar to a pool. No, I didn’t look for it.
It's a restored 19th century pool but exclusive..members only.they have a few guest slots though and a very good cafe/restaurant
