I love this new format with no music, no speech, clean cuts, and fast pacing with no interruptions. Like a mix of Primitive Technology and This Old Tony.
Their entire channel is just that.
@@NF0416 I agree that the pacing and filming didn't differ much between this one and the usual videos. But there used to be quite a lot of music all along the older videos, which I found annoying sometimes.
Just like how i love it no fkin useless music ruining it, other channels just slap some random song that doesn't even fit the video
And dirty hands and fingers "TURE REALITY!" AvE sometime does it do music like classical I love that too!
It’s more Diresta to me. Just needs more sped-up talk radio.
thank you for no including loud background music
He doesn't bleed our ears with random loud stock music
Sometimes the best reason to build something is just because you can. I love it.
Fantastic. This is the first video where I have seen someone make something using "one-way" bearings. Many congratulations and keep up the brilliant work. Cheers.
in project 100 make a mini lathe, congratulations for the projects
"mini", but yeah cheap hobbyist garage size lathe that can do reasonable quality and challenge is not to use lathe to make lathe, but basic hand tools, stick welder etc that everyone can get their hand on for really cheap. Lets call this "poverty lathe", but bit better than using drill and its chuck.
Hellsong89 there’s some guide books on amazon saying how to do this. But personally I’d buy a cheap ass mini lathe and rebuild it with some select better parts with tighter tolerances. Scratch building a lathe is HAAARRRRDDD
mini lathe are very hot topics on youtube and internet ! old lathe are inexpensive and cost the same price as Chiness minilathe (5Kusdol or €) .... i prefer an old big lathe who gonna last more years than Chiness minilathe . My POV is mini lathe is interesting only if you wanna high accurency the only pb is the price my friend ! the only solutions maybe is DIY mini lathe with home made parall granit bar home made rectified on your free time + refurbished airberaing from silicon industry + concrete quartz molding for the body take a look to Dan Gelbart czcams.com/video/sFrVdoOhu1Q/video.html you gonna see thaht high precision mini lathe does not do the same job as an old big lathe.
War time production lead to the use of concrete and metal inserts.
@@antoninperbosc1532 where are you finding cheap old lathes from? Any old cast iron or whatever lathes are expensive as hell in good condition
No music this time
Quite calming
asmr
Yeah, that's what makes this one a ... LIMITED EDITION.
I’m curious as to how much torque the output is.
Me too
Next project: Miniature dynamometer
I thought your welding skills were great, but the precision cuts you've made and the holes drilled, you are next level mate.
So cool!
Dropping the music was a good thing imo. 👍🏻
Makes me think of Primitive Technology. As in. No talking, and no music. Just the sweet chimes of metal nature.
Same. But it doesn't have quite the same sweet sounds. No animals in the back ground. So sound of rock smashing into rock. Its similar but primitive technology is on another level.
Always impressed with the engineering on every project and all the knowledge of circuits, hydraulics, etc. Very impressive.
Awesome contraption! You could drill holes in the toothed rod to reduce weight and increase efficiency:-)
Your ideos are the best building videos on YT. You and your channel are great
Excellent Engineering skills Sir, your lathe work is very good--- free hand chamfers.
Thanks for sharing.
Nice job. Brilliant bit of thinking, using the starter motor solenoids and sprag clutch bearings.
This is the best channel ever.... I cant stop watchng
Thank you!
This is Awesome.....
I dont care what you make...
I just Love watching you working.
You most defiantly have working hands Sir. Keep up the great work too.
You are amazing, unbelievable, awesome bro.
Same shit...
Exacto. Eso mismo digo yo.
i love how it sound ! it feels so antique plus that flywheel gave a steampunk touch, love your videos keep them coming
Outstanding skills and experience with superb tools, along with magnificent use of video, make this channel the tops in its class!
Bravo mate...you've got me hooked 👍
Ótimo projeto e interessante a mecânica!!
I'm so envious, I want to buy your neighbors house just to watch your work.
Been watching for some time now. Just wanted to say amazing. All the things that I've seen made. 👍👍
One of those chanels vere i like the video befor seing it !!great job !!!
Same, just like Clickspring and JonnyQ90
I see the photo before watching and I want. Then I see the video and I only wonder where to send my money to get one, then realize I can't.
I like this new format. Please keep it.
i'm from india...... your any project is overwhelming to me..... great job BROTHER..... 😊😊😊😊😊
You guys don't know how many admiration I have for you guys. I start missing your vids when you guys go a few weeks without uploading something. Wish I could become a patreon so you could keep loading them up. Much love from a fellow mechanic. Cheers.
This was actually quite pleasant to watch without the music.
Sorry for ugly English
Im japanese
This is not strictly a boxer engine. In the case of a boxer engine, the opposing pistons must move in phase. In this engine, the opposing pistons move 180 degrees out of phase. In other words, this engine is not a boxer but a 180 ° V-type engine.
But I think this work is great!
You are absolutely right.
boxer engine is slang for horizontally opposed engine which may run in phase for the gas application but is not necessarily specified. It would run either way I think bmw bikes had a boxer twin out of phase because they wiggled hard when you started them, I'm not sure..but, both piston rods could connect to the same crank arm. But this thing is horizontally opposed, or "flat twin" not V type which would indicate an angle of less than 180. Technically it's not even an "engine" without combustion it's a motor. It actually has advantages over crank having flat linear torque across the cycle. Whereas only about a quarter of a crank cycle is optimal in efficiency and friction. I love that he built an idea that i had on my mind years ago.
@@jwolf4523 it is an engine, just not a combustion one. :)
Seks18yas
@@akaHarvesteR no it is a motor, engines rely on combustion to make power, no combustion means it's not an engine lol
The amount of work, time and effort that went in is mind blowing.
Keep up the great work..you're legendary
First class video , great workmanship .TXs
Every time i watch one of your videos you seem te impress me, great job
@Bas Daalder ---- impress ???? WTF ! are you Royalty ?

ancora complimenti
Quite Different - I like it! Reminds me of my younger years. . .I am envious though of the power of the "Piston!"
Professional work, professional video. Watched the whole thing.
Amazing work. Thanks for sharing.
*covers lap* "Honey, I swear, I'm watching just metal fabrication video!"
Another fine example of creativity and imagination.
There is just something so relaxing and peaceful to see a machinist work some magic
I'm having a test tomorrow and I'm still watching this video although it's a long one, I just can't stop. Send help.
Lol
Very brilliant display of skill amazing. However what is the purpose of this device
Nice to look at a specialist who can do almost everything👍👍👍
Most enjoyable and relaxing video I have seen for a long time, I feel better now.
Beautiful! No horrendous music! Just the sounds of machining! Yeah baby! Huge mechanical loses though... But nevertheless nice job!
Great work deserves more than crappy cherry switches. Consider a magnet and Hall Effect sensor or LED and LDR
Seeing this makes me happy, I've had similar thoughts though in a much more robust engine. Not having tools and the like to make such things I haven't tried anything like it yet but this just about confirms that it could work.
Damn you are really taking it up a notch these days!!! You guys are awesome!!!
Is this style of transmission actually used instead of a crank? It seems that the one way bearing would wear out quickly under the load of an internal combustion engine.
13:50 sorry. my mind is too dirty.
It's a fucking machine 😋
I know what you mean...
You dirty man Chee. Now all you need is two girls and two diodes
😂😂😂
Your mind is highly creative, not dirty!
really like the sound, instead of deafening and nonsense music. well done!
Perfect job dude, and smooth finishings
I thought the boxer engine pistons runs towards opposite directions, to counteract the vibration.
you are right. Thats not a 2cyl Boxer, its a V-twin with an cylinderbank-angle of 180 degree
boxer indicates the way the pistons are connected to the crankshaft
for a boxer only 1 cylinder per crankpin
flat or 180-degree v has 2 pistons per crankpin
@@RzAn8 since there is no crankshaft on this engine, but the pistons are moving in the same direction, wich is a good indicator for being mounted on the same crankpin, this thing corelates to an V2 180degree.
If the pistons would move opposite direction (both moves outwards, for example. thats where the name "Boxer" is coming from), then you could talk about a Boxer.
@@jendriktrager4996 I wasn't clear enough with my comment and that it correlates with a boxer engine
I meant you need a crankshaft in order to call it boxer or even 180-degree V engine
it comes down to ill-chosen title for the mechanism
good title for views
grtz
@@jendriktrager4996 how the hell do you make this out to be a v twin ??????
For long runs, the solenoids will need some cooling, lubrication, and reduced voltage. But I'm sure you already found that out!
They way you build things just amazes me. You guys are so talented.
While I had no problem with you having music before, mainly because we share the same tastes in music, I also dig the calming no music videos aswell. It really doesn't matter what the soundtrack is your video's are awesome enough I will watch every one of them!
Wow, what a great project! I'll have to make one someday!
Thank you!
any plans for it. would be a cool mini bike or drift trike engine. provided it has the power and i bet it does. wonder if 24 or 36volts would smoke the coils. great build cant wait to see what you do with it
It'd be horribly inefficient compared to an electric motor. Personally I think this video takes it exactly far enough, with it being an interesting piece of work in its own right. Stuffing it in a vehicle of sorts won't do it justice because it will underperform so badly the vehicle will basically be an overly complicated display case for it.
And even if you were to increase this design's output, for example by adding more solenoids, I suspect you're also going to run into lubrication, clearance and friction issues once it starts delivering enough power to be useful to propel a vehicle.
But hey, I'd love to be proven wrong because your idea does sound awesome :D
@@MicraHakkinen shit i guess you know all. I take it you have made 2 or 3 then. I didnt say it needed to do burn outs. And electromagnets can be quite powerful. not like i asked him to put in his Honda and commute to work with it.
I really liked your mechanism ....! Congratulations.....!
Excellent work guys!! I wonder when are we going to see the 12 cylinder engine made!!! Keep up the great work...
Some electronics might improve things, rather than just switching the coils.
Ya, ok. I'm sitting here with my cordless DeWalt set thinking I'm badass
18v How many ah is he using, I can't see it clearly 😟
Great job! Waiting to see next a cylinder replacement of a vintage Beetle or Harley Davidson with even larger solenoids.
Very clever, well executed build of a cool machine. Thanks.
Really great work👍. But what's it's purpose🤔?
Its purpose is to be made.
@@StoneInMySandal 😊
Yhe end music truly reflects the preformance and accomplishment very well done.
I love this engine that you made. My heart goes out to your working hands as you most certainly have your job resoney written on both hands. Keep up the great work too.
Geometric tolerances aren't your cup of tea right? :D But still very interesting mechanism
Rendi CZ I guess the golden stickers and serial will compensate for the axial and radial play :-P
I love it. Never stop.
You should do another video where you add a belt driven alternator to that pulley and use high capacity capacitors instead of a drill battery. Loved the video btw keep up the great work.
I just love this build.... you are the real superhero.... big fan
Like the new Camera tricks...Great job as usual
Very clever and you really know what your doing good video dude 👍
Great job. Now put some wheels on it! :)

@@jasonrhodes9683 Yes, You are right. It said that mordor's girls will like such device
Jason Rhodes,
Where have you been all my life. CZcams recommendations finally gave me something good
Personally, I find the thread cutting on the lathe to be (one of) the most fascinating aspects of their projects. And then there is everything else.
You should now make it a v8 and test out the power of it in a car or something
Yet another team of absolute experts. Wow. (I mean WOW!!)
Damn as soon as you set the coils up I had the same epiphany that the inventor of this engine had. So simple yet genius.
Now you could make a heavy metal sewing machine.
Have you tested how much torque it produces?
about enough to make a regular cordless drill look like a screwdriver 😂
@@illusiveduelist4959 😂😂😂
Genius! Amazing work
That's amazing what you build there 👍👍
I like the build and the engine concept but can it drive anything besides the brass flywheel?
simple answer is no a totaly pointless build LOL

Awesome! what I liked was how you took a simple split collar and put it around difficult to machine shape and machine them in a chuck meant for round stock! Man why didn't think of that!
Fantastic work. I don't wanna be "that guy" but technically it's a flat V configuration as the Pistons are sharing a "crank" (or rack in this case) position. As they sweep left and right as a pair. "Boxer engines" are called boxers because the opposing Pistons have crank pins offset by 180 degrees resulting in the Pistons going toward the crank and away in sync. Like boxers bumping gloves.
This video is still an exhibition of great fabrication work. Hey maybe this will give you another video idea.
Nice video interested machine you made but
1) wrong layout to be a boxer engine
2) way too much friction in this machine.
But I mean I don't think you made it to do anything but prove a concept.
What an amazing guy does this metallic masterpiece in less than 18minutes
I like the top tension spring idea to compensate for the wobble in the gear shafts.
