The Ebony Stick | The Best Shell Cordovan Care Tool
Vložit
- čas přidán 13. 09. 2024
- The Ebony Stick is the quintessential tool to care for your shell cordovan shoes and boots. Made from durable ebony wood, this stick is dense and hard, perfect for smoothing shell cordovan, general polishing and buffing out scuffs and scratches.
The Ebony Stick is roughly 5.75” long by .90” diameter. This will vary slightly as this is a hand-turned product by @dapperwoodworks.
Starting November 28, 2023, you can get your very own The Ebony Stick from Shellvedge at www.dapperwood....
The Ebony stick is hand-turned on a lathe, and then hand sanded and buffed for a natural finish.
Made in USA from Gaboon Ebony sourced from Africa. The first batch of 15 will be available for preorder this week at @dapperwoodworks.

Hey! The preorders are now live, www.dapperwoodworks.com/products/ebony-shell-cordovan-polishing-stick
Thanks for bringing these to life. Can't wait for mine to arrive.
Awesome! Happy to do it!
How cool! Funny enough, I’ve been in the market for a deer bone or ebony stick for my shell cordovan. I just ordered and I’m excited for it to arrive! Thank you for thinking of this, David. I hope you have a successful run with your first product!
Lighting has come a long way 🔥
I ordered one! Can’t wait!
Fantastic! Thank you much!
Got it!

Does it have to be ebony wood? Can I just use a typical leather burnishing stick?
It doesn’t have to be, but there are definitely benefits to the natural characteristics of ebony such as the density and resulting oils (naturally self polishing nature as it gets sanded buffed to a high degree)
I ordered my ebony stick a month ago and have not received my stick - what’s the delay?
Hey! Appreciate the message. Can you contact Justin at Dapper Woodworks with the order number and details? That’ll be how we can answer the quickest!
info@dapperwoodworks.
Yes - I did and they have not respond to my email.
@@showpan22 can you email him again now and mention this comment? It’s hard to associate CZcams comments and CZcams user names with real first and last names when the email and username are different.
Ty!
@@showpan22 he replied. Please check. Thanks
I got my stick today and already love it. Thanks for the recommendation and love your channel.
Thank you for making the tool. I do plan to do a pre-order. Interesting that it would work on Horsebutt.
I would believe certain veg tan leathers that ding or dent rather than scuff it could be beneficial. Wickett & Craig's English Bridle or the Firm version of Oiled Latigo which is made from a Crust English Bridle both come to mind. As you said it is not in the intention to be used other than Shell Cordovan but it's helpful to know that it can he applicable.
I may have to give it until payday though. I just purchased all my Christmas gifts and spent a bit too much personally on the Hanger Project. So assuming payment is upfront(which it should be). I will have to hold off for a week or two. I assume preorder is still there? If not it's not the end of the world.
That said it was a wonderful demonstration and thank you for going to the lengths you did to make this tool for all of us. I really appreciate another arsenal in the toolbox.
Yeah for sure! It can be used for a variety of applications, many of which I just haven’t run into the use case. But yeah, the pre order will run for as long as the first batch is available and hopefully with enough interest we’ll be able to make many more!
@@ShellvedgeLooks like I missed the boat. The price showed $100 when I looked at the page last night and I thought something was wrong.
I fell asleep, clocked in for work at 3AM. Then $85 today but sold out. But hey with only 15 of them it makes sense. Congratulations on a successful run!
I'll have to see if there will be another round or not. 😅 If not, hey, that's life, I'll catch it the next round.
Wow already sold out!
Is there going to be another drop soon?
It’s going on sale tomorrow. 👍🏻
Correction! Apologies, we just turned it on. There should be pre orders available to check out now www.dapperwoodworks.com/?ref=40pbv758
Under shoe care 👍🏻
got mine!!@@Shellvedge
@@Shellvedge shipping rate to Canada sucks though!! $56 CAD for a tiny pc is crazy :(
Thanks sir for bringing these to life. I snagged one. I can't wait for it to arrive.
Time to crank up production these were sold out in the first hour .🤣
Yea! Fortunately and unfortunately we’re making these by hand turning them on a lathe with 50%+ of the work by hand. So only so many at a time. But more are coming!
It’s sold out, how can I get one?
Can you please email shellvedge@gmail.com so i can save your contact info for the next batch?
