    It seems like theirs three types of people in this world;
    1: People that comment everyday about products they want Tati to review.
    2:People that complain and diss Tati everyday for reviewing the very products that group 1 asked her to review.
    3: People that are too focused on their own money and how they spend what they've worked for to judge in anyway what Tati spends her money on, but enjoy watching her everyday because we genuinely like her.

  • @Heyfa
    @Heyfa Před 8 lety +460

    I find it completely unfair, that people who can't/don't want to splurge on expensive products always complain. I think Tati has a mixed audience, and just like we don't complain about drugstore videos, I don't see why people feel the need to complain about high end videos? It's very clear what this video is going to be about from the title, so if you're a person who gets butt hurt over Tati's high end reviews, for the sake of everyone else don't click on the damn video. Now if you can leave your judgement, and bitterness at the door, then come on in we have space for all makeup/product lovers. -Xo

      I'm not rich but I don't piss and moan about how people spend their money then trash em. that's insane to me. I agree, I love seeing what's expensive to see if there's other items that are cheaper or worth the splurge. I was curious what hairstylists think of the blow dryer tho!!

    I'm always more than a little skeptical when dozens of beauty vloggers "spend a ton of money" on the same new product all in the same two week period. Feels more like a promotional item that was sent out to multiple vloggers. Yes it may not be "sponsored" but I really doubt that it wasn't purchased using a gift card they or Sephora sent out as part of a promotion. Just type the dryer name into the search bar and see how many vloggers reviewed this in the last couple weeks and they all say the same "script" at the beginning.

    • @Jazminzesati
      @Jazminzesati Před 8 lety +3

      Well that would be just a gift like the million they recieve, they have nothing to gain if the video itself isnt the one sponsored, just a product as a payment? Idk they sell themselves for just that.

    • @ruthrose8307
      @ruthrose8307 Před 8 lety +48

      Just giving them the benefit of the doubt, but being beauty vloggers, it is their job to review new products, and this has only been at Sephora for a couple weeks. I mean, they did a segment on my local news about it, and I don't think they were sent a Sephora gift card to purchase and review this hair dryer. That being said, I'll stick with my $30 Revlon hair dryer.

    • @luvpersephone
      @luvpersephone Před 8 lety +27

      If an item is sent to them, they don't necessarily have to speak good about it and are free to share their real opinion since it's not a sponsorship, also maybe because it just came out recently everyone's trying it out idk

    • @sheilaNrichard
      @sheilaNrichard Před 8 lety +42

      This has been an anticipated product for about a year now; with it just releasing a couple weeks ago. My guess is those who are hair dryer, hot tools, or just general hair care enthusiasts, such as myself, have been dying for this product to come out; so they bought it right away hoping to be one of the first to own and/or review this gem :-) For me, although I would love to have one, I can't justify $400 for a hair dryer so I'll wait for the price to come down.

    OK, I never comment on videos but I feel this really needs to be said. Tati, you are honestly one of the most genuine, hardworking and beautiful people on CZcams. I am so tired of seeing all this hate on your videos. People need to realise that Tati is truly spending her own money on the products she reviews, and she is doing it for US. She could spend the money she earns from CZcams on whatever she likes. Instead, she uses it to review products so that WE as a community benefit from it. She always gives completely honest and thorough reviews of everything she tries, and if she happens to love a product that costs $400, just accept it. Tati, keep up the awesome work and know that there are so many of us that support you xx

    WARNING: to anyone who has a brain shunt aka VP shunt for hydrocephalus or pseudo tumor celebri aka Intracranial hypertension like me this dryer has a magnet at end to hold on attachments. This can reset your shunt settings. So unless you want to go to neurosurgeon daily for a reset I'd be careful. Just wanting to help some thinking about it. Every shunt company has a different magnet strength so just do research first.

    So, basically Dyson just made a fancier version of a professional hairstylists hairdryer but made it for the public, and that's why everyone's blown away about it. I've used professional driers all my life, and they've all basically worked that way. A blowdryer can't stop your hair from burning, it's going to burn regardless, if it's burning and you're smelling it then just lower the heat temperature on the dryer. I do totally understand why Tati loves it, because I can see why it's so amazing, but I do also think that it's getting a bit of extra hype because it's being sold as a average high end consumer dryer rather than a professional one. If it were being compared to other pro ones, I don't think it would be as hyped up. It is cool that they're marketing such a high end blowdryer to average consumers, though it sucks that it's way overpriced and most people will not be able to afford it.

Looks super cool, broke in less than a year, returned for repair under warranty, and broke again first time after repair...back to repair again, and now the hose has a hole in it after 3x used and no attatchment/special use. Still no resolution and can't clean so just saying $400 hurts when it doesn't work. Since you (Tati) based some of the opinion on the superior vacuum performance

    I hate the price tags of high end but I'll say you get what you pay for. My higher end pallet has about 30 shadows but has lasted almost 2 years of daily use and most still have the name stamp visible because they are pigmented and you don't have to use much. I love drug store mascara and liner but the rest just isn't comparable to high end. I've been with my husband almost 12 years and he still has clothes from when we met (and shoes) and they look brand new. And he's rough on his clothes even does yard work and work on cars in them. Now I don't buy high end (besides ale up) and I have nothing that has lasted that long. You completely get your bang for your buck with higher end but make sure it's something you can get your money worth out of not just a something you'd use every so often.

    I havent even finished watching this, Im only at the intro, but I already got one of these and I love mine, love it for all it is.. and yes it is expensive, maybe a bit more than it its worth but its not that more expensive than its worth.. as for the price, lets put a perspective on it, how much do you spend at a hairdressers, and how often... how many actual trips before the cost of that outweighs the price of this?

    • @lizkimber
      @lizkimber Před 8 lety +5

      Thanks.. while I have long hair and dont go to the hairdressers (ever, hate them with passion) I viewed it as money I had saved.. so, it can work in both ways.. I bought it cos my long hair took like 6+ hours to feel proper dry, and could make the back of my head itchy due to still being damp.. now it takes like 10 mins, its silky smooth, softer and ... I dont have to wash my hair at like lunchtime.. to not go to bed with wet hair..

    • @TheAmyLovesYou96
      @TheAmyLovesYou96 Před 8 lety +2

      You go to the hairdressers to get a haircut or hairstyle. Not to just get your hair blow dried. So idk how you see this as "saving you money" because the hairdressers and the blow drier are completely different

    • @lizkimber
      @lizkimber Před 8 lety +2

      Then you missed my point - my point was that some people go every couple of weeks for highlights, cuts, etc.. spending 100+ a go, yet, will then buy a 10 unit of currency hair dryer... which is cheap and damages the hair.. the point was its only the equivalent of a few trips to the hairdresser.. so if you see it as expensive, how come the rest doesnt count as expensive?

      +AYEME I'm a hairdresser and I have quite a few people come in frequently (weekly or twice a week) to get their hair blown out. Not everyone can blow their hair out and get a smooth look especially when they have frizzy/curly hair. I mean you can give someone a line of luxury/professional makeup with the brushes, but, if they don't have any skills to apply it, then it makes no difference about quality.

      I am an Aussie and I have just done some extensive research on your statement and it turns out the average yearly income in the USA is higher than in Australia plus we pay more taxes out of that income. So no, we don't get higher wages at all, we just get ripped off for anything beauty related because they use distance and tax as the excuse to charge lots. Regardless of all this info, even if I lived in the USA, I would never pay this kind of money for a hair dryer.

    This is by far and away the biggest beauty splurge I've ever made, but my hair is thanking me. It takes forever to blowdry my hair with a conventional dryer and on high heat. Dyson gets my 3 feet of hair dried beautifully on the lowest heat/highest wind power settings in under 6 minutes. My hair is shiny, silky straight, and smooth like I went to a salon and had a blow-out done. And with NO product. I have no idea how this will work for everyone, and I agree $400 is a mighty hit, but thus far, I'm not regretting it for my texture and length of hair.

    I bought the most expensive Dyson cordless & I can tell you now it was absolutely garbage.
    I could just about vacuum up stairs before it ran out of juice, so I’d have to charge again to do down the downstairs.
    I never felt like it did a really good clean, it did more of a light clean. I bought a vax upright at half price off & to say the Dyson didn’t really pick anything up is an understatement. I had to empty the Vax after doing just the hallway after using the Dyson for 1.5 years, it made me feel a little sick seeing how bad a job it had done.
    Saying that I absolutely love the hot/cool fan, I use this mainly on my conservatory/playroom & being able to set the temp is brilliant. The fan was greats in summer also in the baby room.
    Great video on the hair dyer. Thinking of getting it as a gift for my wife for Christmas...so this will prob be the show stopper :)

    I was hoping for a demonstration of how fast/well it dries, because my $35 Conair hair dryer does a quick job on my four feet of hair.

    Not surprised you love it Tati! This dryer has changed my life! I've been using it for over a month now and my hair dries so quickly, even on the lower settings! Never has the dry crispy look you get from too much heat styling either.

    I used it. Made my hair feel like straw, had to return and exchange for Babyliss Portofino from Ulta.

    I watch all of your videos, and whenever I ask my mom for a new makeup product, her response is "Let me guess, Tati uses that?".

    I think it's so sad that CZcams has come to a point where people have to say the video ISN'T sponsored in order to not get hate.
