Girl you are doing your thing. I love the detailed review and now I'm finally decided on this blow dryer over the Revair I was considering. Thanks for your input
I really love the colour of this version and I’m so happy that I came across your review so I can buy it before they stop selling this holiday edition colour. Thank you for the review!
Okay so here’s my take after 3 years of using the dyson.. my mom is a professional hairdresser so I bought us both a dryer. My hair was about 20 inches, after some time I started realizing my hair became brittle but never thought about it being my dyson. No color, completely healthy hair down to my back. My hair is now a bob. Found a dyson complaint page where others said the same, it left their hair feeling brittle “like a straw” I switched back to my old dryer and my hair is getting back healthy. literally cried. Wish I would’ve been warned. My mom expressed the same problems as well, she noticed that her clients hair felt thinner and stopped after seeing my long term damage. Warning you guys because I wish someone would’ve warned us.
Thank you! I’ve been experiencing dryness, shedding, and thinning lately but was unsure of the cause do to health issues. I’ve been testing other products lately and I’m noticing a difference. I’m gonna report back my findings in a video once my results are more conclusive.
I'm sorry this happened to your long natural hair. I'm So glad I read your comment before I purchased this product. I have a revair dryer and it's worth the money and investment. It only goes up to 190 degree's. I use it every wash day and style my hair. My hair is waist length and I've had my Revair dryer since 2019 and I haven't had any problems with it.
I’m definitely picking this up! I’ve been trying to resist but my barber used it on my hair the other day and it’s nothing like I’ve ever had!! Great review!
I just bought my dyson yesterday and it’s the same as yours and also it came with a bag in it. Took me a while to purchase it because of how expensive it was and I needed to save $$$ in order to get it. I did a lot research 🧐 before purchasing it cause I wanted to make sure it was worth the money I’m spending. Took me 3 years to do that and I gotta say I’m happy and satisfied with my purchase. Thanks to videos such as yours and others that I was able to get a dyson. Much appreciated luv. Thanks 😊
I’m seeing this video after I already purchased my hair dryer (Nickel/Copper color) It came with the 5 attachments and the free storage case. Out of all the random hair dryers I have used over the years… I love this one. I love the magnetic attachments and the option to turn the comb attachment to better dry your hair and handling. The multiple heat settings were perfect for me. I Can’t wait to use this on my daughter’s hair. 🥰 It’s an investment for sure but I am happy with it.
Bought the 1st generation all the way back in 2016 and using it almost everyday… it still brings me joy till now… it even follows me when I travel overseas
I’m looking at lots of different reviews before I go ahead and purchase. The reviews I’ve seen using it with the diffuser for curly hair have been positive. This one was helpful as far as blowing out the hair cuz I might use it at both. Awesome review, I respect your thorough testing of the product 👍
Thank you! I’ve used it for diffusing slot more recently and I can attest to the fact that it performs very well and dries the hair quickly without much heat.
I just bought this because of the beautiful color. Even with all the mix reviews I was hoping it would work for my hair and at least reduce heat damage because I plan to wear my hair straight for a minute. I bought the corrrale too (birthday presents)! New subbie, thanks for the detailed review on both products.
Tessa Stewart, you have such a gorgeous smile and I loooove your teeth ❤ your hair looks awesome too. A have 3-4 ppl who bought the stain hair dryer and love it.
I just got a blunt straight cut after having thinning and breakage from over manipulation from natural twists braids etc. I’m going to maintain my hair between salon cuts with the Dyson. Thank you for the review ! The attachments have came a long way
Nice! I’m sure the cut looks great. I’m a strong believer in health over length. The attachments have definitely come a long way. Good luck on your healthy hair journey and thanks for watching, gorgeous!
Yesterday my daughter tried to convince me to buy her the Dyson because she found out that her Aunt has one already I thought to myself here we go again because I knew how corny these videos can usually be but I had to because I wanted to understand why the msrp on that bad boy was $399.99 fortunately founding your product review at the top was a breath of fresh air I mean no embarrassing makeup,no silly faces,no annoying jokes just straight to the point I love it for me it's a 10/10😉 I appreciate your honesty at the end of the video you parents did a helluva job on you you're very articulate and wise keep it up with the good work😊...
I don’t know why but you remind me of Gabrielle Union. 😍 Thank you for the review, I have the air wrap but it just doesn’t dry my hair as fast as I would like, thinking about getting this in the near future.
Honestly, this is the type of review everyone should be getting when they look into product review. Very honest, genuine, not just from one-time use of product, the reviewer really invests the time using and observing the product for months. Im not saying other reviewers are not good, they all are good and kind enough to spend their time and money (for products that are not sponsored) testing out things and share us so that we can make the best purchase. But my point here is this video is the best one so far that I have seen regarding Dyson product review and I have more than enough detail of the product to help me making my decision. Keep up the awesome work girl 💘💯
The reason that this one comes with more attachments is because there are new attachments. The comb attachment was designed after the Supersonic came out. When the comb attachment became available you would have to purchase it separately. Now this year (in the US) they have released two new attachments, the flyaway attachment and the one for the lighter airflow. When the supersonic first came out it included the styling concentrator, the wider nozzle styler and the diffuser. They have now taken away the wider nozzle styler and added their three newer attachments.
Thanks, I know. The first one I bought came with the 3 in 2019. When I bought the second “edition” in rollout in 2020, the comb was only available to purchase separately. I don’t use comb attachments so I opted not to buy it. Fast forward to the 3rd purchase and now all the attachments come with the device. I’m glad they included them all now instead of making them only available with separate purchase.
Hey Tessa! Yea it is time to retire my Silverbird and go ahead and buy this, but let me save up for a couple months first lol. Great review as always! I bought the Corrale because of your review and i love it, so you are definitely a trusted source!
Bought mine for my daughter! I loved it and I still do, it’s been a year since I bought it! I could never go back. My daughter has curly hair though. I do think that dyson is more geared towards Caucasian or mixed hair textures, I’ve yet to see it benefit someone with 4 a b or c hair. There better alternatives out there in my opinion
Glad you love it. The blow dryer and flat iron are geared to all hair types in my opinion because they works like a standard dryer and flat iron. The Dyson Airwrap (not featured in this video) is definitely geared toward straight and looser hair textures, so I do agree with that.
I think the ones you had before were defective. I didn't purchase it to straighten my hair. But to diffuse my curls and I have always had to from no heat to low heat because low heat was TOO hot. I mean. Burn your scalp hot. Since this is the first video I have seen where it was not hot enough (I've watched tons). It definitely had to be a defective one and I'm pretty positive Dyson would have exchanged. I own a great dealmof their products and they do stand behind them. I had an issue with my cannister on a cordless vacuum cleaner. They sent out a new one, no questions asked. When I asked about the comb attachment that didn't come with mine. They sent me one. Them and Samsung CS is outstanding!
Thanks for your feedback! I don’t think they were. This is my 3rd one. So I bought 2 defective dryers from 2 separate retailers at two different times of the year? 🧐🤔 I highly doubt it. I love their products as well. I have household appliances (fan & vacuum) from them that I love, which I stated in a previous video (airwrap review). With my experience in comparing them to my other blow dryers (Babyliss brand), the first two did not get as hot. This latest one definitely does which has changed my opinion. I now love the Supersonic where before it was just ok. This is just my experience. Everyone’s mileage may vary. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this review. I bought the dyson and I’m kind of not impressed. My hair felt so dry, still kinda puffy, and there were a lot of flyaways/frizz. Maybe because I did it on medium heat and and the lowest air setting. Either way still contemplating returning it.
I can understand your sentiment. I felt the same way with the first two. Do what’s best for you and your hair! I’m sure Dyson will be just fine if you need to return it. Atleast you gave it a try. 😊🖤
I unfortunately saw your review on the air wrap too late. I have it in my bathroom and I have used it multiple times but I knew I could never get a silk press result with a blow out from the airwrap. Now I have purchased the blow dryer today. I guess I can always sell my airwrap but it’s money lost.
I bought this product on my hairdresser's strong recommendation. While I love the increased speed of drying, I have struggled with how to use this for maximum straightening and smoothing. I always "love" (sarcasm font needed) the tutorial with the person who has perfectly straight hair to begin with, so I cannot adequately express just how much I appreciate this honest and helpful video.
Hi! My favorite heat protectants are Kerastase Fluidissimme Anti Frizz leave in spray heat protectant, Kerastase Discipline Keratine Theramique Blow dry primer, Kerastase elixir serum, Paul Mitchell Neuro Protect Heat Control spray, and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. It’s a 10 leave in heat protectant is an honorable mention that I do revisit from time to time. I always use a leave in, cream, and serum before blow drying. Then I use an additional spray (Paul Mitchell) with a little more serum right before flat ironing. Hope this helps!
This blow dryer is amazing because it takes less time. Which means less damage overtime. Also that diffuser is the truth. It makes my curly wigs and my natural curly hair look amazing.
I looked at the first dyson and was not impressed. Didn’t seem hot enough. I think you are right that Dyson has been changing and improving this device. I wonder if they initially designed it for hair that doesn’t require too much heat and manipulation to dry - basically straighter hair types / no texture. Then later realized they needed to make changes and acted accordingly. All interesting stuff. I myself use a bioionic 10X and love it to dry my hair.
@@TheTessaStewart I love it. It’s another expensive dryer but I got it at Ulta using points and a 20% coupon that applied to hair tools lol It’s very powerful. It makes my hair shiny. It is very quick to dry hair. I’ve been using it for at least 4 years now. For sure since before the pandemic. For reference I have had T3 and Harry Josh dryers in the past. I use the dry bar travel one for when I am travelling. Whenever this BioIonic one dies I will probably replace it with the same style unless there’s something absolutely groundbreaking on the market.
Funny I bought one a couple years ago and returned it….I didn’t see the hype so I bought the Shark.. which is a great dryer but heavy. I saw this dryer on sale and thought I would give it another shot and love it. So much lighter, faster and feels better on my hair than the Shark … worth it 💯
The tool definitely has a little more weight to it than my other blow dryers, but it is the most quiet out of all the blow dryers I own. Hope this helps!
You’re welcome! They sell them at Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom, and Best Buy. I have links in the description box. You can also purchase directly from Dyson online. Hope this helps!
I’ve tried the diffuser on the Dyson twice during warm months. It worked well. My hair had been air drying for about an hour and it look less than 15-20mins to diffuse and stretch. Hope that helps!
Not gonna lie I sold my dyson blow dryer last year now you're making want to get this new one with the fly away attachment 😂 even though I don't do my real hair that often
If you’re not interested in the Dyson Supersonic, I like the Babyliss blow dryers as well. The Babyliss Carrera 2 and Portofino work very well. Hope this helps!
It's too much tugging on the hair with either the comb or the paddle brush. Overtime, that will cause damage. Are you using a heat protector? A heat protector should help curb the damage.
I wish my hair was glossy black like yours. Mine is a weird ashy dark down. I've been growing it out for two years, and I haven't touched it with heat in all that time. I wash it once every 3/4 days and I manipulate late it once a day. But it's still no where as pretty as yours.
All the tools you have put below when clicking on the link and seeing them online , I notice not one of them have a 5 star review just a 4 star and they are so damn expensive
I can only suggest and speak on products that I have personally used. Each of those dryers listed have been or are still owned by me. They perform great on my hair. As for the expense, in comparison to the Dyson, they are a fraction of the price.
My Dyson hair dryer stopped working after 2.5 years (yes, I cleaned the filter). I took it into a local Dyson repair shop and they won't fix it because I removed the tag (that was an eyesore) with the serial number on it. So I'm out $600. They said they could sell me another one for a discount....sign. I'll never buy a Dyson again. I expect better service out of a premium brand. It's clearly a Dyson product. Not sure why the serial number is critical. Apple will work on any Apple product without a serial number. Not to mention the frustration of a $600 hair dryer failing shortly after the warranty period.
Wow. I’m sorry to hear that. Did you purchase it directly from Dyson? You could always try to exchange it at the retailer you purchased it from (ex. Nordstrom)
I’m glad you like it. I’m getting mixed reviews about it being able to get my roots smooth enough. If the wait wasn’t so long I would’ve ordered it. It’s been on back order everytime I checked since the end of spring last year. There’s always a 2month wait. 😩
All Dyson hair tools is absolute crap on 4abcd hair O have wasted over 400 00 and know it does not work. Okay, I have the original but they should give me a discount for returning this older version because its rubbish
Yes, love, I know. The review was done before a proper trim. Nonetheless, the purpose of the video (which was to review the functionality of the blow dryer) was still conveyed. Thanks for watching and engaging! Be sure to check out the other reviews, etc on my channel!☺️🖤
This is such a thorough review! Thanks for all of the time you put into this! ❤️

I’m glad you like it. The magnetic attachments are def a great touch.
Thank you for this really honest review. I can now purchase with confidence💐💐💐

I use this blower with a round brush (Raincry - boar bristles) and it works amazing … maybe you can try with that type of brush !!
I’m just starting to get into round brushes. I’ve only ever used a paddle brush with my dryer. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@TheTessaStewart ok well I recommend you the one I Use . Raincry Round Boar Bristles Large … is in special at Nordstrom right now
@@gfd4794 thanks so much! Gonna check it out. 😊
Yes. I was thinking about starting to use a round brush, with my 4B coarse hair. I don’t want bone straight hair that some like - I like volume.
Glad someone else noticed! How’s the bionics 10x?
@@TheTessaStewart I love it. It’s another expensive dryer but I got it at Ulta using points and a 20% coupon that applied to hair tools lol
It’s very powerful.
@@jackienolan9142 nice. I’m going to look into it as an alternative suggestion. Thanks for sharing your experience. ☺️
Funny I bought one a couple years ago and returned it….I didn’t see the hype so I bought the Shark.. which is a great dryer but heavy. I saw this dryer on sale and thought I would give it another shot and love it. So much lighter, faster and feels better on my hair than the Shark … worth it 💯
Omg. I tried the shark, too, and I prefer the Dyson as well! Glad you liked it!
ou , you have a pretty natural-state curl ! it looks smooth & like full ringlets
Thanks, beautiful! I appreciate you☺️
Is the Dyson heavy? Is it loud?
Thank you for your review. =)
The tool definitely has a little more weight to it than my other blow dryers, but it is the most quiet out of all the blow dryers I own. Hope this helps!
@@TheTessaStewart THANK YOU a bunch, that is helpful to know. Your review was really thorough and your hair turned out great.
Okay thanks how and where can I get mine to buy
You’re welcome! They sell them at Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom, and Best Buy. I have links in the description box. You can also purchase directly from Dyson online. Hope this helps!
The nozzle definitely came out better. Smoother
I totally agree.
Which flat iron is that?? Amazing!
Hey, beautiful! It’s the Dyson Corrale hair straightener.
Have you ever tried the diffuser?
I’ve tried the diffuser on the Dyson twice during warm months. It worked well. My hair had been air drying for about an hour and it look less than 15-20mins to diffuse and stretch. Hope that helps!
You are such a beautiful lady! You should work on TV!
Thank you for your reviews! I really enjoyed them. Thank you!
Thank you so much! My grandmother says the same thing. Lol glad you enjoyed!☺️
Not gonna lie I sold my dyson blow dryer last year now you're making want to get this new one with the fly away attachment 😂 even though I don't do my real hair that often
😂😂 It be like that sometimes. Lol 🤷🏾♀️
The products you use also matter. When my hair isn't fully moisturized it reverts faster.
Very true. That’s why I always use products that provide proper moisture for my hair and heat protectants.
I want hot not too strong air flow, anyone can recommend a hair dryer like this?
Aww, sis. Thank you so much. I’m flattered. I know your hair is amazing. 😊🖤
😍😍😍
😘😘🖤
was the come attachment gentle? I have very sensitive scalp.
Yes. It was very gentle. I didn’t experience much if any resistance while maneuvering it throw my hair. Hope this helps!
@@TheTessaStewart Thank you! Your hair turned out beautiful
@@ItsSheila thanks, sis! I appreciate it!🖤
I prefer the side styled using the wide tooth comb attachment.
Thank you for the feedback!
Thanks
You’re welcome!
No heat protection?
I described my heat protectants in the video and flashed them on the screen. I use 3 separate sprays. They are also listed in the description box.
@@TheTessaStewart ohh okay thanks
Ive never mastered two handed drying. Give me the blow dryer brushes.
Surprisingly, I’ve actually grown to like the comb attachment on the Dyson. It really is convenient!
From DMV. Recentlu moved from Italy to Japan.
Nice! Enjoy!
Did you notice a difference in shine?
Not much. I was able to achieve the same shine with my BaByliss Carrera. The products that I use could contribute to that.
Why not dyson refurbished? No one talks about it. It’s for $250 with attachments
I didn’t know they had that. Maybe that’s a newer option?
Nordstrom)
RevAir is the best thing out there beats Dyson 100% , No Heat Damage.
I’m glad you like it. I’m getting mixed reviews about it being able to get my roots smooth enough. If the wait wasn’t so long I would’ve ordered it. It’s been on back order everytime I checked since the end of spring last year. There’s always a 2month wait. 😩
crazy
Ikr
You look like Gabrielle union
Thanks, friend. 🖤
All Dyson hair tools is absolute crap on 4abcd hair
O have wasted over 400
00 and know it does not work. Okay, I have the original but they should give me a discount for returning this older version because its rubbish
I’m sorry you feel that way. I def agree when it comes to the airwrap but I love the Corrale hair straightener.
Your hair still doesn’t look none straight
Thanks for watching and engaging!🖤
lol at the comment & response
You have splits ends
Yes, love, I know. The review was done before a proper trim. Nonetheless, the purpose of the video (which was to review the functionality of the blow dryer) was still conveyed. Thanks for watching and engaging! Be sure to check out the other reviews, etc on my channel!☺️🖤
