Jake lost the Rossendale and Darwen seat to Andy MacNae of the Labour Party.
He criticises the Tories' campaign, saying it was “dire”. On Reform UK, Jake says the Tories “need to reform, not become Reform”.

You see these people come on our TV news like Sir Jake Berry Ex Tory MP, he looks scruffy with an open necked shirt without a collar and tie and I feel they don't represent our country and guess what I voted Reform UK, when you look at Nigel Farage his appearance is smart and presentable with a collar and tie he represents our country, there's nothing snobby about it, it's all about standards. I feel politicians have lost their moral compass even news presenters when they come on TV news.
