"It's NOT Racist, It's FACTUAL" | Leeds Council Launch Urgent Review That Sparked Riots

  • Leeds City Council is launching an "urgent review" of a "family matter" that sparked rioting in the Harehills area.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper condemned the shocking scenes of violence that erupted and were widely shared on social media Thursday evening. She warned that those behind the "audacious criminality" would "face the full force of the law."
On Friday, Roma community representatives met with Leeds City Council to "express concerns about a family matter" from July 18.
Previously, police reported being called around 5 pm on Thursday after social workers faced hostility while dealing with a child protection issue. Responding officers were attacked but managed to help the social workers reach safety.

Why do people constantly refer to these type of areas as 'ethnically diverse"? They aren't "ethnically diverse" as they are dominated by immigrants from one particular background and part of the world.

1996 my 7 yr old daughter, white with red hair, was one of 2 white children in her year. I couldn’t move her out of the school fast enough. She was bullied for her colour, in the UK. The only thing she learned was every religious day across all faiths, but Christianity. Christmas, there wasn’t any mention of the birth of Christ. Nativity etc. From that time in my life I was open to multicultural society until my daughter was treated as though she didn’t have a place in her country of birth following centuries of historical family links. That generation of immigrants live in closeted societies, whom dislike our country, culture and most indigenous people. It was the biggest wake up call for me, as the parent doing the school run, not one word of English spoken, or acknowledgment. We are the ones accused of being racist, but I lived racism towards my daughter and myself. I shall never ask anyone to forgive my opinions that support my culture.

The amount of kids that have died while surposedly under there watch is ridiculous then there's the kids that should never of been put in care. They never look at the big picture, crime, poverty, drug abuse are all part of the same problem but do they look at it like that, No they don't they react to them separately to gain votes & stay in there cushy jobs. My son and daughter are married to Australians and live in Australia with their families. If they break the law they lose their right to remain in Australia and will be deported even though they do voluntary work - For instance my son is a Victoria State Volunteer Rescue worker and has won medals for his work including bush fire fighting and rescue in such as the widespread bush fires in N.S.W. a few years ago that saw him and others cut off by Bush fires going out and bringing people surrounded by fires to relaive safety in a town cut off by the fires.
My son lives in fear that something might happen that will see him losing his Australian Residency Status and being deported - He is a law abiding citizen that abhors drugs and his worry is an accident that might result in charges that result in him being expelled.
When will the UK protect UK communities and residents from the crime, violence and the terrorising of law abiding residents from the criminal actions of Foreign Born criminals and thugs living in the UK.
Rioting terrorises local people destroying community facilities and assets and terrorising residents - Every Rioter that is identified that has not been born in the UK as a UK citizen should have right to stay in the UK revoked and be deported with a permanent ban on returning and any rioters who are naturalised citizens should have their citizenship revoked and als be deported as Citizenship is awarded as a privilege to foreign citizens on the promise of good behaviour and law abiding behaviour by the people awarded British Citizenship.
My daughter was at Leeds University for 5 years studying Dentistry and during that 5 years the neighbourhood she lived in (Hyde Park was one) had riots for several days during which she and her housemates were trapped in their rented homes seeing the Neighbourhood destroyed whilst the Police stood by and watched as cars were set alight, houses and businesses looted and the decent residents trapped by the rioters were terrified - My wife called me out of work on each occassion so I could drive the 120 miles to Leeds to rescue her and her friends - I went knowing I would not be let past the Police lines BUT at least it eased my wifes fear that I was going to Leeds to tgry and rescue our daughter. My Daughter had 2 cars destroyed by rioters (one in each riot) and a 3rd car stolen by joy riders and burnt out to destroy forensic evidence in the 5 years she was at Leeds University.
Quite rightly her car insurance refused to pay for the cars burnt out in the Riot so I sent the bills for the destroyed cars to the West Yorkshire Police Force Chief Constable in accordance with the 1886 Riot Damage Act. The Riot (Damages) Act provides that, in the event of a riot, the police authority (now the Police and Crime Commissioner, the Mayor’s Ofice for Policing and Crime in London) for the area concerned shall pay compensation to any person whose house, shop or property is damaged or destroyed in the riot; where such a person has received payment from an insurer, the compensation is payable to the insurer. The incompetent West Yorkshire Police Lawyer rejected the claim for the first car on the grounds that the he claimed the 1886 Riot Damages Act specifically excluded motor vehicles from the act by Parliament when 1886 Riot Damages Act was passed by Parliament before the invention and manufacture of the first motor car!!!!!!! They paid up when I informed the West Yorkshire Police Force that I would summons the Chief Constable to my local Small Claims Court in accordance with the 1886 Riot Damages Act.
I knew during the 2 riots in Leeds that my daughter was trapped by that the West Yorkshire Force would do nothing to rescue her and her house mates because of my experience of the first night of the Handsworth Riots in 1985. I was a Special Constable in the West Midlands Police Force at the time and was on duty in Wolverhampton when the 1985 Handsworth Riots broke out and the vast majority of male officers on duty were bussed to Handsworth - I remember officers in the van pointing out cars that were overtaking our Police Van racing us to Handsworth - Cars that contained known local villians racing us to the riots to loot the shops, businesses and houses in the Handsworth Riot area. When we arrived we were detailed to seal a street off to seal the riot off and we had to stand there and watch the area and the homes and businesses of the decent people living there looted and torched. I was shocked because the decent people in the area were coming to us asking us to protect their families, their homes, their businesses and vehicles from the rioters in an area were most people could not afford either house insurance or comprehensive vehicle insurance. Every officer in the Police Line wanted to go and help the decent people Handsworth to safetyy and protect their homes and businesses from being looted and torched BUT we were ordered to stay put because the senior officers put the protection of their officers from prosecution and their personal safety because the 1714 Riot Act had been repealed on the 18th of July 1973. The 1714 Riot act was designed to deal with the violent behaviour of groups of 12 (or More) - A Riot - By having a local Mayor or Magistrate read the Riot Act that required the Rioters to disperse peacefully and return to their homes within 1 hour or put themselves "Outside the Protection of the Law" the derivation of the term Outlaw. The repeal of the Riot Act left the Police Officers and Police Forces dealing with the riot subject to prosecution if any rioters injured by Police Action.
During the Tottenham Riots businesses and homes were torched and at least 3 resident burnt alive as social media organised rioters for flash riots around the country whilst those areas had officers posted to the Totenham Riots.
I have witnessed the distress and terror caused by riots and seen the aftermath - All Rioters not born in the UK as British Citizens should be deported including naturalised citizens after their citizenship is revoked as they are undesirable aliens.
Ideally we should also find a way that rioters born in the UK as UK citizens could be permanently excluded from the areas they have rioted in as well

Back then Germans were hated and they had to learn English and they did everything to become like the people in their new countries. This is what immigration is supposed to be like. We still ate German food and celebrated our holidays but we also celebrated Canadian and US holidays like everyone else. Why is it controversial to assimilate? You can still have your beliefs and traditions but you should respect and cherish your new country.

The Roma community sometimes has different family standards compared to other families. For this minority, it is sometimes normal for children not to be sent to school but to be on the streets. The same is true among the Roma in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and other countries. They are simply different and tend to react very emotionally. Additionally, there are many troublemakers who join protests to incite riots and cause destruction.

Should be applicable for both existing immigrants and for those who wishes to come. No one will ever want to take this difficult route to gain citizenship. And moreover stop giving citizenship to the immigrants through the ‘business investment’ route too. The longer it takes to apply for citizenship, the more immigrants will find other countries where they can gain citizenship in much lesser time.

In recent years we've allowed various climate-extremist protesters, Black Lives Matter and now Pro Palestine/Hamas protesters to basically take over (and in some cases, run riot though) our cities with virtually no consequences, so we really shouldn't be surprised when people need less and less excuse before they will protest aggressively or riot. They've seen that the Police are prepared to do very little to control these 'protests' so they take advantage of that situation. Weak government and weak Policing are very largely to blame, we have literally inflicted this phenomenon of civil unrest upon ourselves, because our 'right to peaceful protest' has been allowed to become far from peaceful..

Also there is the waving of multiple black ISIS flags and green Islamic Jihad flags, screaming anti-Semitic chants and blatantly calling for jihad, intifada and the destruction of Israel - None of which, coupled with the wilful vandalism of - and disrespect to - our public monuments, could credibly be described as 'peaceful'..

I emmigrated to nz in 78nwith my family. We were very poor. Nz has stringent immigration rules. It took 2 years...we had chest x.rays to keep nz t.b.clear..full dental health certification. Numerous interviews and background checks.
Then probationary period of 5 years in full work before being allowed to apply for citizenship.
It rewarded hard workers. If you didnt get off your butt and integrate yiu were called a whineing pom. If you rolled up your sleeves you were accepted.
Roll your sleeves up mr muthin. Stop muckstirring. Do what we did. Contribute...yes im 61 and worried at my decision to return to england. Its gkne tk the jacjals and hyenas this time.

Children are removed when there is eminent danger. Social workers have to provide evidence to a judge who normally don’t side with social services and to remove children is the most difficult thing. Society think that social workers go around removing children from their homes, it’s costly, time consuming and hard to do that.

  • @ChoppingtonOtter

What the betting the council will find it was somehow OUR fault, or the police fault.. anyone except the offenders. Also, social services will have gone well and truly far, far beyond what they would have done with a British family before taking this action . It would break social services ethos and heart to have to admit an immigrant family could possibly ever be in the wrong.

Notice, this councillor for Harehills in Leeds, has put himself front and centre of this incident and is blaming Nigel Farage for 'whatever', a stitch up attempt if ever I saw one. Strange that this incident has blown up in HIS area. Stirring up trouble is what this is all about here. Trouble for the police, social workers and Farage, can see where this is going. The victims here are children who, for reasons that the social services know, have been taken into care for their protection. The parents don't like it, and this has led to the riots. Certain factions in society will use any excuse to disrupt harmony in communities and stir up trouble.

Did the Normans integrate? Or did our culture actually benefit from their addition? Did the Romans integrate and start worshipping trees when they immigrated here; or did they bring the god you now worship, the roads you now drive on and the tiled roofs that keep you dry? Our country is great because we are the best of the best from all over the world, our culture is one of immigration, open your mind and your heart
