  • Mensa is the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world. It is a non-profit organisation open to people who score at the 98th percentile or higher on a standardised, supervised IQ or other approved intelligence test. The Mensa Admissions Test is given for the purpose of admission into Mensa and not to quantify intelligence. A qualifying score indicates that you’ve tested at, or above, 98 percent of the general population.

Pat could also like tapes if the rule was that she likes the option with fewer letters.

This kind of IQ test (admission test) requires background knowledge (US Flag..number of legs on arachnids, knowledge about poison ivy).
The FRT does not require this. So a person, although he/she has English as their mother language, and never went to school, would fail the admission test ! And be labelled as not intelligent. However if the same person went to another country, taking a Mensa FRT test (used in Denmark, Finland, Norway....), which language he could not speak, would be able to become a member of the respective Mensa organization. !!!

Adding multiplication to question 2 added another step towards the answer which was derived from the division

Great video! I would have missed the videos/tapes question.
The explanation for the book question could have been a little more straightforward. 6 people read 2books/hr so 3 people can read 1book/hr therefore 9 hrs = 9 books. No need to divide further into books/person

You are not explaining anything you are merely saying numbers you are writing down but not explaining your work.
