  • IQ is a type of standard score that indicates how far above, or how far below, his/her peer group an individual stands in mental ability. The peer group score is an IQ of 100; this is obtained by applying the same test to huge numbers of people from all socio-economic strata of society, and taking the average. So in simple terms, an iq level indicates how samrt are you. In this comparison video, you would see what an individual is capable of at different IQ levels.

@adrenochrome addict there doesn't exist one iq.
There's an iq for everything, and it is never already determined when you're born. Your life makes your iqs.
There isn't any smart or dumb, there are different capabilities and disabilities, an endless number of them.
This video is just non sense, as all iq tests on the internet are because there doesn't exist one value for your intelligence that can determine which is the "smarter" person, there are endless values that can measure the capabilities of a person doing a very precise and specific act.

I have also never struggled to make and keep friends. That being said I do still struggle somewhat with small talk, and displaying empathy. School subjects are really easy for me, but I also like to dig more on the things I learn and try to improve my capabilities. Maybe its because people have different interests than me, or sutile actions that I might be doing without realizing, but I feel deeply disconnected from eveyone.

Absolutely most of origins tell about how William was very upset and depressed because he was very smart and very young a lot of people did not understood this, so was bulling him at university and evil paparazi always was stalkering on him, so he is even didn't came to grave, when his father has been died. But a truth is: This guy was in almost every world , and knowed every language. William had a girlfriends, but until paparazi was founding him. One girl even made an article about him, so he was must to leave a country, but guy had real relationships with girls. A money was not a problem for him because he wrote a lot of books from anonymous nicknames and selled this at auctions . He even wrote a scientific books about black holes, so pushed science forward and not only books like this, but i can't remember other scientific researches of him

Take Chess as an example, Hikaru Nakamura and Levy Rozman both got 102 on the IQ tests and chess is a game that you need to be really smart to get good at, calculating the moves and what would happen, leave people thinking that needs a high IQ. Or many succesfull people have become succesful with only a C grade, or a very low GPA.

As a child, I showed an unusual aptitude for math, prompting my teachers to recommend I take a formal IQ test. My parents did not show me the results when they came back, claiming IQ meant nothing (indeed IQ is not a definitive measure of intelligence), so I stopped pestering them about it. I proceeded to skip three grades and graduate as the valedictorian of my high school, which, along with my extracurriculars, got me accepted into MIT, my dream school, which I could not pay for initially until I applied for financial aid. However, about a year into college, my depression, which had been with me my entire life (I had a traumatizing existential crisis regarding death at age 7), worsened, and and eventually, I decided life was not worth living due to my state of perpetual, debilitating sadness. In the summer of 2018, after returning to my hometown, I drove my dad's car directly into a brick wall in an attempt to end my suffering. Luckily (in retrospect), the steering wheel airbag, which broke my long Jewish nose, prevented me from dying via my inertia. I was hospitalized, but aside from a broken nose and basically my entire left ribcage, I was fine. I played off the accident as a loss of consciousness at the wheel, as I hide my emotions very well so nobody questioned my lie, but the trauma from my near-death experience essentially shocked me out of my depression. After some deep reflection, I realized that death, and the never- ending nonexistence that comes with it, was far worse than living a life, albeit with ceaseless depression. I have since graduated with a double major in math and physics and I am now pursuing a PhD in quantum physics at a smaller institute in California. Recently, my parents revealed to me that I scored a 186 on the standardized IQ test that I took when I was elementary school, but didn't want to tell me because they didn't want me to get a big head. Reading this list of traits correlated with IQs of different ranges, while it doesn't look all too accurate (nor do 99 percent of Infinite Comparison videos), some traits, such as suicidal thoughts and relaxation not possible ring true, at least for me. However, I can empathize (though my non-verbals may show the opposite), and I am currently in a healthy relationship. As a final note, I must stress that if you feel you are clinically depressed, it is better than not-existing. Just consider that if you die, you cannot see anyone's reaction to your death, and you may as well just have never existed because you can no longer process that you have existed. I am still constantly depressed, but I have learned to appreciate my state of consciousness, which I will one day lose, so why not keep the flame of thought burning as long as possible?

For me, I don't want to brag or anything in style, but when they show me something or tell me something, I will always overthink abt it, I prefer to spend time by my own and quite independent, quite sensible to nature and feelings, and I'm always curious abt history, space, science, languages and cultures, the future, and how the world works. I'm not saying that I'm a genius, but I hoped that I had gotten that same test my little cousin is getting now, to confirm my thoughts and clear things up.

Not that i would be more able to get back to university and stuff (*extremely silent awful scream*), but i decided that the most simple things are the things i wanna live for anyways.. sunlight, the pleasure of touching warm fluffy moss... And feeling the awe-inspiring joy of the contrast of walking onto a hot street and wet grass in tandem.

No one asked for this but here:
According to my psychology professor, there are 9 different kinds of intelligences a person can posses (ex: mathematical, musical, kinesthetic, academic…). The IQ test measures a very narrow range of these intelligences, is often tailored to native English speakers, and wasn’t ever intended to be used as a placement of intelligence.
The IQ test was invented by a French professor who taught special needs students; this test was to give him an idea on how he can teach his students, not to compare them to others.
There is also a formula to find your IQ: (your mental age / your actual age) * 100. Which explains why 100 is average (20/20)*100=100.

      @Tikkithekwami Před 2 lety +1

So my IQ is 264 (37÷14)×100=246

The 9 intelligences is theory created by Howard Gardner and its called theory of multiple intelligences. But it is just one theory and it is also criticised. The formula you wrote is the original formula, that is not used anymore. Nowadays, the deviation IQ is used in IQ tests, which works differently

1:47 I have ADHD, but I can confirm that because of my ADHD I have trouble paying attention and therefore can’t remember things sometimes. I also can’t do homework as easily with my attention span so I would fail at Ivy League school.

This video is wrong. Please don't take it accurately. Can I ask are you able to focus on video games or art projects or something else you enjoy? If so you may want to consult a specialist in MBTI personality types; they may be able to help. Please note; school is not set up for intelligent people. School is a form of mass training to produce workers. School grades and college have nothing to do with IQ.

I'm diagnosed with inattentive ADHD and I've taken the two most accurate online iq tests and got 140 on both of them, of course online can be innacurate but I really don't care enough to get one done in person. I take adderall daily and I know I would've done worse on the tests if I hadnt been on it! Not that I would be less intelligent, but that it would've been a lot harder to focus on the test and therefore think through the questions. Before I got diagnosed and prescribed meds I was so, so bad in math because I had no interest in it whatsoever, while I would do great in english and social studies. I think people like us with ADHD have a high capacity for intelligence but are limited to only putting that intelligence to the few things that really interest us, unless we take meds and that helps us do things we don't normally have the motivation to focus on. It's like we got buffed and then nerfed for balancing lol

@@user-km2sm9nl5zI think MBTI is cool, I've spent a lot of time studying the cognitive functions and I believe I'm an INFJ, but how exactly would MBTI help them? Haha no offense I just don't know what you meant by this

The part about ADHD is complete nonsense.
There is no correlation between ADHD and intelligence. More intelligent people tend to struggle less with ADHD, but they are neither more or less likely to have it.
