Thanks for the info. My 2012 f20 (116i) has CIC menu but I removed the dashboard and found out that the LVDS connector has 6 pins.
did u have a 8.8 screen or the small one from factory?
I have the same model as you but im wondering if i should also check the pin connector
@@spillerypasata2286 so i just checked mine yesterday (2012 BMW f30) with the smaller 6.5 screen and CIC system and it indeed has the rare 6 pin connector, so i would suggest you to check it before buying

Thank you, very informative. I have 2016 6 series F06. According to your video this month my model is NBT, but strangely it has EVO ID5 menu!! Should I believe the manufacture year and obtain NBT, or follow the screen menu and obtain EVO?!
As I know , the 6 series 2016 should be NBT , did you ever upgraded ( or code the car) and have ID5 menu ?
Hi, i have a BMW f20 late 2012. After some research i found out that i have something called ENTRY system. So i have the CIC system but a 6pin NBT cable. I bought the NBT version and i tried every car setting and also With the "CAN" settings but my Idrive won't work. It says NO SIGNAL when i try to use the interface. please help!

This car have CIc menu , but the LVDS ( video cable on the back of screen) is 6 pins, so , it install the “ NBT” model , no mass you choose CarPlay box or Android screen, should choose “ NBT “ version
I tried to change 6.5inch Cic to 8.8inch original display. It doesn’t work. By changing it to 6pin video cable is that possible to work with cic interface ?
we mainly focus on the aftermarket android screen, to replace with original display, thus, that is no need to code the car , just plug and play, so, for your question, I think that is better to ask your seller for details.Thanks

good thing I checked because my 2013 f30 has a cic system but a 6 pin connector had I not physically checked I would have ordered the wrong system.
When it is 6 pin, get the NBT model

yes, that must install the NBT model (it has 6 pin video connection), if you buy the CIC (4 PIN video cable), that is mistake.

with or without navigation, that is not the point, all of them can be compatible with our BMW android screen, when the car with navigation, the OEM navigation also can continue to work.
"Your vehicle is up to date." Unfortunately, you can't update your iDrive 6 to the newest iDrive 9. HUUUGE disappointment.
That need to see the hardware support or not , so, we normally don’t recommend too cheap model , because that kind of model , using very cheap and low hardware ( CPU ….)it can not support the update version and ready to stop production in short time. The model we selling , it starts with Android 11, ID7 ( it also supports ID5,ID6), and updates to Android 12, android 13, and interfaces can update to ID8, maybe next time can add the android 14, because it’s hardware is higher level. With more compatibility and expansion in the future.
Hello sir, I have a 2013 650ix convertible M-sport package. So it seems to be CIC, but without looking inside for connector, do we know if my specific model is the 4 pin or 6 pin type?
I was met a case, one car from US and it have CIC menu, after remove the dashboard, the connection is 4 pin, but the year of car is just for reference, to confirm 100%, you are better to open the dashboard and check the connection.

as my experience, that lvds is 6 pin, but if you want 100%, it need to remove the dashboard and check the cable @@samikhan19931
