Cause Bear McCreary made them. AKA the guy that made the new God of war Epic theme. He really digs into his work. For god of war he researched and used ancient Norse/Scandinavian lyrics/words and for the Goodbye old Friend OST from KOTM he used ancient Babylon words.

It's the difference between hearing this theme in KOTM where Godzilla is portrayed as heroic, and in Minus One where he is portrayed as malevolent. It perfectly embodies the duality of Godzilla himself.

Before watching Godzilla Minus One I didn’t know this was the official Godzilla theme, I thought Bear had created it solely for this film. So happy he took an iconic theme and made it even more epic
It was used in the very 1st film and some others but McCreary was the 1st to combine both themes
In the original Japanese versions of Godzilla movies this is his theme.

The only cash grab Godzilla movies were the 1998 movie and Godzilla's Revenge (a.k.a. All Monsters Attack, the one with Gabara). This is not a cash grab, it's made by fans and for fans (and with fans among the cast members as well). The critics who STILL think this movie is just a cash grab can just suck it.
My childhood has been reawakening from a long slumber. Once I heard this soundtrack in the theater, my heartbeat slowly raises as I tried so hard to NOT to chant while the movie is still playing. My heart and soul was crying in the inside once I started to hear the chant. I fell in love with this soundtrack so much and it remind me of all my Godzilla's glory day!!!

When you think about it, we're one of the luckiest fandom groups in recent years. Not only do we all love a franchise dearly for the childhood memories it's given us, but we were extremely lucky to get a Triple A big budget Hollywood Movie that faithfully updated our childhood hero Godzilla in 2014.
THEN, we get the news that it turns into a Cinematic Universe-- whaaaat?! **AND** its starring Godzilla's 'Big Three' co-stars, Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah! If I went back 10 years and told myself this would happen, I wouldn't have believed it. Sometimes I still don't.
Even BETTER. we get Michael -freakin' Dougherty, a guy who not only loves and 'gets' Godzilla like the fandom did, but he's chosen to direct our DREAM film! How crazy was that?! How'd we end up so lucky?! Not to mention we get:
-Akira Ifukube's original Godzilla theme, updated but still maintaining (Even enhancing) the Spirit of his music
-Dr. Serizawa returning, and this time, he's the one responsible for saving Godzilla
-The Oxygen Destroyer cameo
-Numerous other references and nods like the Nuclear Pulse, 'Critical Mass' Ghidorah's space origins, The Shobijin being nodded to, Anguirus' being (covertly) added, and the site numbers: even THOSE are references!
-New and refreshingly different musical scores for each kaiju
-NEW KAIJU: OH MY GOD
-Updated designs to the Kaiju we know and love
Think about it;
We could've gotten some half-baked, generic monster movie that would've been ok. Not great, Not fan service-y. Generic soundtracks that copy Hans Zimmer or cinematic shots that look like a forgettable CGI slog fest. We could've gotten something like the Netflix Death Note Adaptation, or something like the New Teen Titans TV show, or any other movie/ Tv Show that was half-arsed with minimal connection to its source material that was only made because a studio wanted to make a buck.
Instead we got everything we hardly dared to dream of and more. This movie may have been lacking in some areas- plot, human characters, maybe some weak writing here and there and an under performance at the box office. But I know that every Godzilla and Kaiju fan in general knows we got one of the greatest, if not most enjoyable movies in decades that served as a love letter to Godzilla and his fans, and because of that I know we're all gonna be watching this movie down the line with the next generation of Godzilla fans when we get to show it to them.

What makes it even better is when you realize they're not just chanting Godzilla's name, they're chanting his original Japanese name, a name that's also fully acknowledged in the movie. They went ALL the way back for this.
They also chant “MOSURA” which is mothras Japanese name

The song was actually used in the original Gojira as the military’s theme whenever the military mobilized against Godzilla. It wasn’t until Terror of Mechagodzilla that it was first used as Godzilla’s theme song proper.
This movie managed to do both without sounding out of place. The first time we heard it was during Godzilla’s rebirth, where it was undoubtedly his theme, but the second time was when Godzilla and the military went up against Ghidorah in Boston. This specific tune didn’t actually start playing until they cut to the military mobilizing to help Godzilla fight Ghidorah. In that scene, it was subtly used in the same context as in the original Gojira, in which it was about the military’s mobilization. I say subtly because it’s still building up to Godzilla’s fight with Ghidorah, so it still feels like Godzilla’s theme. I love this.

Legendary and Toho make a good team and combination, these three companies won my heart and I hope they continue with the MonsterVerse with more movies along with more Toho monsters

At first I had my doubts about replacing Desplat (love his 2014 job), but I think Bear McCreary was the perfect choice. He has created a wonderful soundtrack, which takes the best elements of the classical themes and elevates them to their greatest potential. For me this is the best version of the classic march of Godzilla, and injected with an epic and power with those voices shouting "Gojira!". McCreary, thanks for this spectacular soundtrack, Ifubuke should be proud of you :,)
Same. I still love Desplat's score and the title music runs through my head often; but this and the instrumental version of Mothra's song are just too beautiful as a lifelong G-fan to put into words.

I liked Bear McCreary's soundtracks more than GvK because it felt more diverse, when GvK actually had just some of the same repeating melody

65 years before this film's release, the original Godzilla was a horror movie, released not even a decade after two of Japan's cities were decimated and their emperor announced their surrender. It was a movie born from the Japanese people's fear of ever being nuked again and the related fear and distrust of anything nuclear that lasted for quite some time. Godzilla was created as a horrific creature that mindlessly destroyed Tokyo and killed many people, an unambiguous enemy figure, and this theme was that of the military as they set out to fight him off.
Now, many films and over six decades later, he's one of Japan's heroes fighting against monsters far more dangerous and outright evil than he could ever be, and this is HIS theme, hitting more powerfully than ever before.
My friends met the character through the new season of Brawl Stars, but I knew him since I was a little child, and I loved this theme since I was a child, "Long live the king 🦖☢️👑"

@@TheStupidBird sorry dude I've been a major Godzilla fan since I was 3 seen all the films, i have to admit this one is definitely in my top3 i prefer this over the OG KOTM. But there two films with two different reasons. So the og is #1 for serious dark nuclear story, while this one is #1 for fan service, monster battles and accuracy. Do it can be a toss up easily.
