Try to always clean off old grease before applying new one. If you don't do it the new grease will get contaminated pretty quickly, speeding up the wear of your headset.

well done ive got a loose headset and bottom bracket, didnt know whether it was normal for the headset to make a quacking noise ish. so cheers, ill have it down at the spesialized shop soon to fix em cos if i do it itll get worse lol!
@@linkinparkdrift hold the spacers under the stem, and the areas below and above the headset. With the other hand, grab the front brake and rock back and forth. If there's no play, move your hand down to the fork seas, and feel for pay by rocking back and forth again. Still no play, try wobble front wheel left to right (feeling for hub play). If all good, should just be pads moving very slightly

Enduro or downhill bike ? I owned a demo 8 and then bought specialized enduro after I broke my fork on my demo(demo was really old). I would choose enduro, in my opinion it’s hella lighter and better in everything.
Dude, I just saw your channel and searched around a bit and it looks great but, I think you need someone or a team to teach you speed. most of the high schools around granite Bay have a cross country MTB team (for example I'm on cycling development) and I know at least mine allows 8th graders (not sure if your in hs yet)
why didnt you use a crown race installer(aka a hammer) to get the crown race in first rather than crushing it on with the comprssion cap, which can ruin the bearings, or strip the threads on the bolt or in the star nut inside of the forks. im not hating just giving advice

Mine just broke off . I was riding outside and I stopped and I was waiting for a friend I’m not moving and then I hear a loud crack and see pieces of balls and the thing which is outside the balls and then everything falls on the ground and I’m like what is that and I start to collect them and now I understand what is was and also if I ride while it is wobbling will it break my mountain bike or no because I don’t want to spend money
Carl Joannette exactly what I was thinking, I’m guessing it wasn’t replaced by the previous owner when they sold it because they probably used it for what it’s meant for😂
Sometimes you don't have to replace the bearings just loosen the pinch bolts tighten down the cap at the top of your forks and tighten the pinch bolts back up

Sometimes it feels like theres still a small bit of play. But that can be the brake pads too, moving in the calliper. Nice video man!

I have Chris King NoThreadSet® bearings same issue, i check them and they are ok/service them too. Upper bearing seam moves
In order to fix the creaking you have to grease the axel which connects your cranks to your bottom bracket. It worked on my BMX

you might wanna push the crown race down first by hand to make sure it is flush rather than crushing it down but other than that, nice job!

I just bought them on Amazon. You can probably find them at a bike shop, but I called and they didn't have any in stock.

Hey an easier way is to tighten the compression cap but if the way you do it works then carry on but just a little tip
