This is the first tutorial I’ve seen that uses wood. It looks easier than doing the whole molding process. I’m doing my senior project this year and I’m on a budget so I’m trying to find the best way!
Wow. # years ago I wrote my first stop motion script. I shelved it when I couldn't find an affordable and possible way to make the puppets. Every year or so I've searched for stop motion ideas. I found your page for your miniature "polly pockets" another interest of mine. What a strange way the universe leads you to your solutions.
I only hope you continue on making your project, I myself am going to be making one as well, got my world all planned with my character, just gotta build it
This is the absolute best walkthrough on youtube! thank you! really indepth and explained wonderfully! Proper shat me up watching how you were using the saw! Please be careful.
I’m in the process of making my own puppets for my senior film. This has giving me many more ideas for how to make my puppets THANK YOU!! What kind of glue is my only question, Sorry if you did mention it in the video, I’m working while watching this but I love this haha
Could you please explain all the materials you used for this tutorial, specially the glue you use to attach the square tube to the wood and the fabric you used to wrapped the body.
Hi, I was also trying to find some of the materials my puppet. I think she is using Super epoxy as a glue to stick the wire into the tubes, and if I'm not mistaken the band or the fabric to wrapped the body must be 'underwrap tape Natural Mueller' if you'll google these materials you can purchase them online.
please can you tell us about the brass tubing - I wasn't able to catch the name? can you give some details - sizing please? Also what are you using for the wrapping over the limbs, is it sticky bandaging or some sort of masking tape?
The useful thing about balsa wood is it’s light and relatively bulky (at that scale). If you put too thick a layer of clay, it won’t harden throughout in the oven, so the balsa’s great for keeping the clay layer thin (afaik).
КЛАНО) але чому ви не використовуєте екструдований плотний пінополістирол? він чудовий матеріял і крім того набагато легше за деревину ,чудово клеїться гарячим клеєм з пістолету і таке інше .
Could someone write down the materials mentioned in the video for me? please. I speak Spanish and the truth is that it's a bit difficult for me to decipher them. 😿🙏🏻

My question is why wood? Why not like printed, styrofoam, or sculpty, or foam clay? Is there an advantage to wood?
Nice video, Pls share the name of tape
😍😍😍😍👏👏👏

k and s tubing
What did you use for the ears?
What tape are you using?
Where do you get your supplies? Online?
Where do u get the rig connections?
Could you replace the wood with polymer clay?

What kind of wire did you use?
She is using 1mm aluminium wire
What kind of wood material is this again?
Pretty sure it’s balsa wood

what are the dimensions of the brass tube?
She is using 5/32 and 1/8 brass tube
What is KNS?
KNS or K&S is the brand and name for the brass square tubes that she is using to attach the wire into the wood.
You should recreate the kids from the stop motion kids show clay kids
If you’re gonna do a film with that puppet…do Pinocchio trust me it will do well
