In this Interesting Hindi interview, Rudra Dubey of Achievers Junction, discusses with Rajiv Malhotra about his important new book - ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE FUTURE OF POWER - 5 BATTLEGROUNDS. Mr. Rajiv Malhotra you are underestimating what we know and think with prejudged notion. Many new area explored, identified and solved. Many citizens of India sitting with such information but lacks platform and access to govt similarly you are facing. Identify the internal and external threat and funding agencies
Mr Malhotra u r the only one who is enlightening all Indians about necessity of AI and necessity of Indians to go for research at the earliest lest we miss this revolution.
Dear Rajiv Ji, I watch your shows with keen interest. After watching I cannot go to sleep wondering why the government of India does not have a vision on AI and sharing data with a foreign entity. Also, you made a very good point How the USA Department of Defense (DoD) & private industries encourage universities to do new research on finding new products or improve the old ones. It's really a win-win situation for DoD & industries. For example, the military just funded research to produce water from Air. The casual behavior of our culture will keep us backward in the world standing.

As our drdo chief always makes it clear that India has become really strong in area of missile technololgy, radars, sonars, electronic warfare systems, communications and guns. We can make great nuclear aubmarines. India is neck deep in building 5.5 generation fighter jet. Tejas our 4.5 generation jet will be precured by indian airforce with a deal worth over 4.5 billion dollars at aero india 2021. Wingman drones swarm drones unmanned combat ariel vehicles are all projects that are being developed on a mission basis. On army day this year india showcased swarm drones technology powered by artificial intelligence.
Indian brain power fuels all major technological innovation in area of computing in the world.
But now things have changed since modi came to power. He asked drdo to create young scientists laboratories where all scientists will be below age of 35. Drdo established 5 young scientist laboratory working in really advanced futuristic technologies namely cognitive technologies, asymmetric technologies, quantum technologies, artificial intelligence and smart materials.
It's effect was seen almost immediately. Last year drdo shocked the world by sucesfully demonstrating quantum communication.
Last year drdo successfully test fired scram jet powered hypersonic vehicle. In this very complex propulsion system the hypersonic wind that comes into the combustion chamber has to be burnt with the fuel at supersonic speeds. Most of the time flame gets extinguished. Now drdo has succeed in developing. It is a major breakthrough in propulsion technology, aero dynamics technology and a major breakthrough in technology of materials. As hypersonic vehicle travels the temperature reaches as high as 1500 degree Celsius on the skin of the hypersonic vehicle. To sustain such temperatures drdo had to develop materials like carbon carbon silicon carbide and other wide variety of super alloys and other things who's information is not available in public domain. In order to craft such futuristic hypersonic vehicle you need very complex machinary and very highly skilled man power. I think india is leading the world in hypersonic technology thanks to drdo. Plus all the complex electronics guidance and navigation systems have to be especially developed for a hypersonic vehicle. As u cannot copy and paste these things from a supersonic cruise missile.
On army day this year India showcased to the workd its swarm drone technology. These drones are all self aware. one drone does not follow the other drone. each drone have the ability to take their own decisions based on threat. It uses adaptive artificial intelligence, edge computing, network centric approach, satellite based technologies, remote sensing many advance sensors image processing etc really complex stuff thar even I cannot explain. Armed forces will never show true capabilities of such state of the art disruptive ai based technologies. ..
Also this year idea forge an Indian company won the contract to supply its swift dtones to indian armed forces. This drone is just marvel of technology. Such a tiny drone with very good endurance and equipped with state of the art surveillance gathering capabilities. Very smart artificial intelligence is built into this drone. We will not know it's true capabilities due to security reasons. The ceo of idea forge is from one of indian institute of technology. He built his first drone when he was doing his engeering. Infosys has invested heavily in idea forge. Like the Ceo says this drone is built like a bird and tested like a tank. These chiense drones cannot compete in any way shape or form with swift drone built by idea forge. Idea forge beat many foreign drone companies from america Israel to win this contract. It out performed all of them.
Chiense technology is reverse engineered cheap copies. There so called artificial intelligence could not save them from another humiliating retreat. Mighty Indian army made them chicken out again.
These are all work in progress.This has been indian issues we seems to be making progress then due to some problem abandon it or slow down rate of growth and never complete our project.

Future ruled by those who has Technology with them, China and USA. India donot make chips, motherboards, servers, hosting, mobile os, Apps of its own, Whoever owns this entire ecosystem is the real Atmanirbhar. This never happened in the past, so donot expect it would happen any time soon.
So we endedup as worlds largest market, Consumers. We use China phones take pride in them loaded with USA OS, we make some Apps, Software and are elated as if we achieved too much. People think TCS, INFY, WIPRO, CTS etc are namesake Indian compnies, their equity is bought by foreigners.

What amazing host rudra is. First time I have seen such perfect tempo of discussion.
It is asolutely necessary for citizens of the nation to know how algorithms works and who controls it, an internet boom can turn into disaster very easily, it's very true in rural India, where, if a person says i have read it on the internet anyone believes them without any resistance, people find this tech fascinating , and old indian mindset is trusting that anyone cannot do that bad with me, alot cyber crime even happens in this shear trust that if I will not hurt anyone, they will also not hurt me, which was true to certain extent at certain RAMRAJYA time. , Innocent explorative indian rural mind just concretizes the information on internet so easily before even thinking twice, I claim that rural Indian people find internet so fascinating and they have blind trust that something which ison internet must be good or right or justified or even truth.,. If India fails to control information in the country, something good will not happen for sure.
TATAs, Goenka, Birla, Nehru Gandhi family and manybither corporate houses, multinational companies also engaged in similar activities bof Ford foundation, KGB, CCP, CIA etc.
