Moral of the story, When someone goes for a test drive, make sure there's 3 miles of fuel in the tank then they can't get very far, and keep a spare jerry can at home
Also make sure there isn't a petrol station within 3 miles ;)
Bought a 106 that was about 500m from a fuel station, it ran out of fuel at the end of the bloke's street then rolled the rest of the way (was downhill)

I used to own a Kodiaq. When that warning light comes on you need to put at LEAST 10L in. Garath is right. Put waaaaaay more in.

I've just had a notification for adblue on my Tiguan this week. Still had a range of 1500 miles, it took a 10 litres drum and was still wanting more. P.S my Mrs is loving the show and she's about into cars as much as Ethan. Please keep up the great work

My MX5 was a daily for a long time, I feel like I have way more fun in that all the time than any other car I have driven, also the MX5 has shockingly good fuel economy, did 220 mile trips every weekend in it and cost me just over half what the Mini cost me.
I work for a well known currier company and if there is a space to park in to drop a parcel off I will even if it's blocking someone's drive. It's that or block the road (but I'm only there 2 mins max) these days when everyone works from home there isn't a space to park in. Yes maybe for a small car but not for s long wheelbase van.
For the person at 29:30 if you want to put your family in the car, get a BMW 5 series Touring (F11) with any petrol/diesel inline 6 engine (if you can find one in budget) or a MK5 Golf R32, if you want it as a fun car for you, get a Porsche 944 (as a classic option) or if you want something more modern, a BMW Z4 Coupe 3.0 SI.
An S5 for £8k would be absolutely shagged. If you want something reasonably practical, get an E90 335i

Just weighing in on the Supercharger vs Turbo conversation, had a Corrado G60 which is supercharged and it sounded great but wasn't really that much fun. Also had a Audi S3 and the turbo on that was loads of fun, especially after a remap. Personally unless you are pushing at least 500bhp it's not worth to supercharge the car.

Alex don't park Phil on gravel the moisture will create rust. Put rust protection all over the underside and get it aligned so it looks better and the tyre's last longer and drive it more or he wont love you anymore!!
Bmw e92/90/91 335i is a great choice for that money, could even get a manual as they’re the higher end of that budget but I’ve got a manual e91 335i it’s a beast and can fit a sofa in it 👌

On the parking discussion, I was approaching a bit of a crest on a straight, urban B-road near where I live. All of a sudden a car came over the crest towards me in the middle of the road before swerving back into his lane. After I got over the crest I saw that a taxi driver had pulled up on the oncoming side of the road just ahead of the crest, parked on double-yellows and was talking on his phone. I informed him that his illegal parking had caused someone to overtake him and move into the oncoming lane (the lane I was travelling in) just before a blind crest and that his parking had almost caused an accident; still he seemed to shrug and gormlessly stare as if he'd done nothing wrong. If you're thinking of stopping on some double-yellows just to drop someone off or answer a phone call, don't! Consider that just about every double yellow line, especially ones on busy A and B roads have a reason for being there. I've seen people do it on bends where people have to move to the middle of the road to get past, leaving them in the path of traffic that's coming around a corner that they can't see yet. I honestly think dodgy parking is more dangerous than speeding yet people will do it without a second thought.
Never let someone alone to testdrive unless they hand you the cash

I'll send this to you guys in a proper email once the "saga" is over but long story short supposed to be having my Discover 2 delivered today by a driver I found on Shipley, coming all the way from Yorkshire to Oxford, I get a call about 11 this morning to say he's broken down and getting recovered back to his depot in Hull. Waiting to hear back as to when it can get back on the road but needless to say I am GUTTED! There is more to the story how I managed to get the car in the first place which I will share later.
I sold an e93 to two wide(ish) boys from London and i did jump in the car with them, but i didn't let them drive. They did a fair bit of tyre kicking, before the drive. Guess i was lucky, they we're genuine, kept going on about how houses where cheap up north and that they could buy 5 at a time for what they paid for theirs. I did have a bit of a squeaky bum time when it came to the bank transfer, but all was fine.
For a second, I assumed Gareth was drinking olive oil from the bottle colour haha
