Fun!
👍
The switchers look good passing your culverts!
Thank you
Awsum video 🚂🚃🚋🚃🚋🚃🚋🙃👍
The baby Ruth cars are my favorite cars
I have some as well there Amazing
Thanks! I don’t know why I like them so much, but I do!
Fun run session- the little engines that could! Like how the layout is looking- all the mountains add a great visual appeal.
Thank you👍
I’ve got this same engine it really nice thanks for doing this it helped out a lot
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching.
Impressive for a little locomotive.
I think so!
Awesome b6! I got two MTH B-6s! One is Pennsylvania and the other is a Pennsylvania Reading Seashore Lines.
Very nice!
I'm saving up for that engine.
It’s a nice one!
It's always fun to see the switchers out for a romp on the main line Dave! And it looks like that B6 was a great purchase! Thanks for posting!
I’m happy with it!
@@dagryffynhobby And that's all that matters!
So much Nostalgia and smooth operation. I also never noticed that smoking caboose of yours Dave
It’s a more recent addition and I haven’t used it much.
@@dagryffynhobby it doesn’t smoke does it?
@@railchief74 smokes but only when power up high
The original was the scale engine after the 700E Hudson, in LTI it was one year before the 1990 5340 Scale Hudson
Interesting!
Hi Dave great little switcher 6 to 10 safe! Save the gears and ware and tare thank you😊
Will probably only ever run it with 3 or 4 cars
It looks like it pulls very well! Iwould be more than happy with that on a switching layout Dave. Remember it is a switching engine and not a road engine so consider that in your comparison!
Switching engine, full size main line, go cart, they all get the same test! Sometimes these little engines surprise you
I think this was the first Lionel with Railsounds
I believe you are correct
Impressive, you must have clean tracks and wheels. Plus the cars well cared for and lubricated. The wider the curves the less side friction on the flanges. Also shorter car have less chording on curves to reduce side loads too. Fun watching and counting cars…….. speed looks uniform so engine must not be straining.
Thanks! Rails are cleanish, could be better. I feel like it didn’t strain, just exhibited wheel slip when it became too much.
Enjoyed the B6 challenge video, Dave. So glad that she's seen to be a winner. I was hoping to see her leading a chorus line of Baby Ruth box cars as well. Maybe at another time. But this was definitely something I was looking forward to. I hope you can improve the sound of the whistle on the B6. Right now, it sounds like it has a bad case to bronchitis.
There's not much you can do with the whistle sound on that B6 as it is. Bear in mind it's close to 30 years old and the electronic whistles at the time were, for lack of a better term, primitive.
The only way to improve it would be to pull it and install a modern sound package, which may or may not be worth it. Personally I wouldn't bother unless it fails completely.
Didn’t I run it with the baby Ruth’s? I think I did. The whistle is what it is. I’m not big on sound effects. I probably won’t really ever use it.
Too much power is better than not enough. 😎👍.
You got that right!
At the next train show, would you PLEASE revive your under the table $35.00 challenge?
I can try! I’ve tried a few times but I keep finding good stuff!
Have you done a pulling competition with a GG1, Dave? They are pulling beasts.
You know, I’m not sure. I feel like I did, I’ll have to look. I should have done that when I had both the k-line and the Williams.
Cool video you should double head all three pennsylvania steam locomotive and do a pull test
If they would all run the same speed, I would!
That 0-8-0 would be my choice if you're going out on the main with a full consist and caboose. But wait . . . where's the T-1?
The 0-8-0 is a champ and runs so well. T1 was sleeping
I like mine ,but the Railsounds quit working.
Yeah that happens. One of these days I’ll figure out how to repair those boards and do a video
It could probably pull 100 MPC era boxcars easily.
Maybe!
Has anyone else noticed that on these B6 Switchers that the chuff sounds not in sync with the rotation of its wheels??? SMFH! I thought mine was broken or missing a trigger for the sensor or something? Because it sounds like they're going much slower than the actual speed because of the slowness of the chuffing sound which is like every 1.5 to 2 rotations of the wheel to each chuff. Maybe by adding an additional trigger to the chuff sensor it would be a little bit more in sync with its actual speeds??? SMFH!
I don’t think they were concerned about realism as much as having make some sound, it was probably pretty good for the day and technology. It would be interesting to see if you could tweak the engine to make better sound without replacing all the electronics
Possibly the most scientific test I’ve seen on CZcams 😂😂 anyone would think you were enjoying yourself ….
It was all in the name of science, no fun was had! haha
