    Dodger Mohr Motorcycle Adventure.
    SWM Superdual X 5000km owners review & my thoughts about the motorcycle. Minor service & new tires.
    Serviced the SWM before my next overnight adventure ride. 3 mates from work on 3 motorcycles intending to travel from Warburton to the Vic/NSW high country, onto Jervis Bay (Rest area on the beach) & finishing up in the Blue Mountains NSW. If time permits may dart in land NSW otherwise it's a quick dash back home to Melbourne.

    Looks like you picked a winner, high spec Italian style at a very reasonable price with great performance.

    I have this bike too and everyone says the 6 speed gear ratios are great. They're not. The ratios are rubbish for am adventure bike. 1st is too high and 6th is too low. SWM decided to fit the narrow ratio gearbox from the SM630 instead of the wide ratio box from the TE630.

    • @Teamfootball-yoi
      @Teamfootball-yoi Před 4 lety +1

      The problem is pressure of motor, no the ratios. the pressure is 12,4:1 and because this it work high.
      Maybe need other muffler more open

    • @snbird
      @snbird Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. If you’re riding off-road and highway, which I want it for, wider ratios would be better. Don’t know why SWM went with the Motard gearing. Strange thing is, the SWM RS650R manual lists it as having TE630 ratios, which is wrong. Not sure if this was fixed for the Superdual manual.

      @DodgerMohr  Před 3 lety +1

      ogpu1 Yeah. I still have this motorcycle, haven't been riding it much lately due the New bike on the scene. Mainly riding the Kawasaki Versys X 300 to get the kilometres up for it first service. Once there, will start riding the SWM again. COVID-19 restrictions has made hard to rack up the Kms, we are restricted to a 5km radius from our residentially address & only allow to commute to work. Hopefully lockdown restrictions will be eased in the future & I can do what I enjoy...weekend trips etc.

    Dear Dodger,
    have you ever measured the wet weight of the motorbike, maybe? There are a lot of contradicting information available on the internet, and cannot find someone, who put the machine on a scale.

    • @DodgerMohr
      @DodgerMohr  Před 3 lety +1

      constraints.on.minds Finding the true weight of this bike on the internet is all over the place. For a mid size adventure bike It’s not bad weight wise. It doesn’t feel heavy once moving, but that could be said with all bikes.

      Neil Lawday Had issues with battery & electrical but since been rectified. The other issue I’ve had is the front forks. Bike has been with the dealer for 10 weeks now waiting on parts, due to COVID-19 repairing them has been delayed and a long process. Hoping to have the bike back soon.
