I've been pushing for a series of "Best of..." for vegan and nonvegan foods at Disney - best pizza, burgers, quick service, vegan, snacks, drinks, Disney Springs, resort meals, and so on. I think it would be a great way to give us the info we're looking for but also for them to save some money on dining out all of the time. They can comb through past reviews (post COVID, preferably since so much has changed since COVD), and compile videos at home.

For a better impossible burger at MK, gotta go to The Plaza! The appeal used to be the toppings bar, as it had sautéed mushrooms, caramelized and chopped onions/ pickles, etc..Nostalgic for the 90s kids:) was part of the Tomorrowland retheme in mid90s 🌌🌌

The worst meal I ever had at Disney was at Cosmic Ray when they had the vegan sloppy joe. It was what I imagine dog food to be. And completely cold and smashed. The second worst is the plant based salad at Connections at EPCOT. It was literally just lettuce and one olive slice and one bean. Nothing at all like the description. The patty melt is not great, but better than the horribly dry Doom burger with the big red onion chunk.

My friend and I went to Cosmic Ray later on in a park day on our first ever trip to Disney, so there was no chance to really figure out much else afterwards despite how I took one bite of the sloppy joe and couldn't eat it. Ever thought about using the toppings bar to add some flavor to your meal? Or asking for a modification? We love ya'll, but you need to realize that things can be tweaked.
We review food items as is. We don't review modifications as there is no guarantee when someone else visits they will be able to get the same modification.
@@PrincessandtheBear But where there is a toppings bar, I think it is understood by the people who decide on the food (I hesitate to call them "chefs" at Cosmic Ray's) that diners will make use of the toppings bar. Not saying any of the toppings would have helped, but it would have been worth a try...

Sorry but that is not a proper patty melt. It should have caramelized onions, Swiss cheese griddled on rye and maybe thousand island style dressing if you're feeling fancy. Either way, that looked sad. Bear, I just don't think most, if any, quick service eateries are the place to buy any seafood. Just MHO. Maybe Columbia Harbour House or Rose and Crown might be an exception :)
The patty melt you're describing actually sounds good, like similar to the tempeh ruben at HHN but not. That sounds lovely. This is not that. You're right about the seafood too.

Tha Plaza is a better and safer choice than anything Cosmic Ray's has to offer. We need to go back there!
