Bought some urethane sealant to use on my first mat build! Just practiced this technique on an old softboard... Haven't ridden anything with thane traction yet, so you think it might work on the softboard?
Thanks Graeme for another great video! Pardon a stupid question, but this is just for a mat that already has grips, correct? I ride a fourth gear flyer, which has somewhat nonslip canvas but no actual grips. At this point I am using standard surf wax, which of course wears off after a session or two...

Only if the board has a porous deck. If it's slick then likely to peel off.

You can apply sealants to canvas but if they have been waxed you need to get the wax off thoroughly.
