Yeah same here, tend to become more extraverted with introverted ones n vice versa. Though my confidence doesn't depend on this thing always !! It's just about situations!! Heard this question many times- why I don't talk more :/ But if situation requires, suppose crucial office moments, if I say some important or diplomatic things, they're openly like she can talk this much? 😲 never knew!! & again there I go silent😶!! Or just a smile, but still better than the white-blue T-shirt Frank here!! 🤭🤣 with little time everyone knows when I can talk and when I don't!!

That's interesting. I'm an ISTP and if grouped with fellow introverts, I'm always the one to break the silence, crack jokes (i'll regret it later) and initiate the planning until the others finally join in. If in the case someone else takes the initiative to lead, I'll just stay in the background and do as much as I can for the groupwork behind the scenes because I don't want to become a freeloader. I prefer not leading tho. Like please, I'll help, just don't let me lead.

For anyone who is actually dealing with this dilemma: Make a puppet show. That way no one needs to go on the stage!!! And you still get plus points for creativity. (You can also record your voices in advance so no one pukes while delivering the lines live. You just need backstage IT handlers, and prepare the puppet stage, puppets and all that -) I am sure the class presentation and role play DID NOT have rules against a sock puppet presentation and recording your voices in advance. When I was in highschool, we recorded our conversation on a cassette, and we just had to PRETEND to be having a conversation. Similarly, with some college presentation where we recorded our supposed live-acting on a camera, and my less introverted group mates just pretended to report it like a newscaster. Sure it takes time but it is worth it. Plus, a simple puppet show with that many people is easy enough to prepare overnight. You just need socks and cardboards and crayons. The person recording the ENTIRE scene with his voice can JUST BE ONE PERSON!!!

@@sanschmidt5457 I do "the smile" too; for me its a mixture between a nervous smile and a "Ah so kind of you that you do the talking, thank you so much ^^ Awww we have a group project thats nice, you all are so nice ^^".. Like I try to communicate some positive impression I get from the others, but I'm too shy to speak. (My resting face looks as if I'm bored.) In a situation like in the video where I would be required to say something but am too shy, it would be probably a "Oh no he asked us something, I'll just smile so hopefully someone else will answer. Are you all good? Go ahead, I smile at you, so You can say something...* awkwardness increases* I dont ignore you, I just dont know what to say"... or sth like this, I dont know :>

I just want to point out--stage fright is not introversion. I am an INFP, extremely introverted, but I absolutely enjoy the stage. Being on stage is so much fun, and is not socially draining for me. Besides I already live my life in fantasy land, might as well be on stage in fantasy land too 😅

Lucky you. I am an INFP as well, but usually I will do everything -write script, make costumes and whatever just not to be on stage or make presentations. I understand that there is nothing to be afraid of but feel sick anyway on stage. When I got older, it became easier but still not my favorite thing. I think that stage fright is more typical for introverts than for extroverts

I'm a bit like this. I love the stage if I'm acting silly and funny, for example I could very easily prance around in a clown suit or take part in a funny skit. But if it's something serious, like acting out Shakespeare, then I'd get waaaay too nervous and would probably faint or something 😅.

I’ve been through this and it was a nightmare. As an ISTP, I always speak the bare minimum in group projects. I just show up to say what i want to do or see what the group wants me to do, deliver it to them and occasionally express some divergent opinion. Words can’t describe how much I freaked out when i was forced to take the “Leader” role in a group full of passive introverts. Our group had only a couple hours till the deadline and nobody showed up in the group chat to decide anything. I sent them the teacher instructions and told them what i was going to do, hoping that they would pick their parts too, but they only answered “OK” and went mute again. I had to keep organizing things and telling them what to do till the last minute, while still feeling pressured to get everyone the maximum score. I was so stressed, If the assignment was individual I wouldn’t even do it in the first place, my grades were already high enough to not fail the year and I was against the entire concept of the project. I just forced myself to participate because i previously told my classmates I would and didn’t want to let them in disadvantage. Like damn thats what i get for having empathy
