- Hey friend! I hope you enjoy coming with me to explore the medieval town of Sienna, a short bus ride away from Florence discovering the architecture, espressos, visiting one of my favourite Italian Duomos + finding the serenity in hidden streets. I love how easy it was to capture the essence of this location in less than 5 hours! Enjoy! ✨

Those tour groups are the bane of my existence. I live in Roma Centro and I avoid them as best I can now that tourism is in full swing. Fortunately the guides usually have a tall flag, so you can prepare to avert way in advance. Unless they sneak up from behind!
You were wearing that cornetto al pistacchio for a little while there! My fav - solid choice. 👊😎
Haha I sure was...how could you not it was delicious 😍 Tour groups can be overwhelming, however a chance for us to all learn about one another's culture!
We really like the presentation style of your travel videos. We are about to embark on a 2+ month journey ourselves to Europe and appreciate your perspective of your destinations, many places we will be going too. Keep up the great work!!!!
Hi Vance and Kim! Thanks so much for the feedback :) Exciting to hear about your upcoming European adventures, dm me on IG if you have any questions that I can help with!
You have potential. I like your videos. ❤
I appreciate that!
Very nice and inspiring video! Thanks a lot for sharing 🌸🌸🌸
Thanks for the positive feedback, glad you enjoyed it!
In Campo Square, the hole under Guildhall (Building with Mangia Tower) is called Gavinone. It is useful to catch raining waters.
Very cool, thanks for sharing this unique tip!
We are staying in Siena for 3 days this June. So excited. Thanks for the information.
You’re most welcome! June will be an amazing time to visit, plenty of patio time 🍷 🌞
Thanks for sharing, missed going to this town when we were in the area in 2002. Sometimes following a tour group when they are describing sights gets you the info by not joining the group. (Assuming they aren’t using earphones)
Exactly, it's a great way to get a bit of information!
Great vid! Going to Siena in about a week to study abroad over there for a month! Needless to say, I’m extremely nervous (never been to Europe) but looking forward to it! Siena seems like a nice, quaint town. Any other recommendations? :)
That's so exciting! What an experience to go to Europe for. I'd for sure recommend visiting Lucca and Florence for day / weekend trips :) I have vlogs on them as well!
That view at the end I really want to know where that was! Tried to find it on maps and failed :( . It was gorgeous and looked peaceful with no people. Would love to just sit there for an hour omg!!
Hey Maddie, I really wish I could remember this exact spot too as I knew it would be a great location. I can't find it though, it was such a random find as well. I can remember it wasn't in the centre of the city, closer ish to a bus stop behind a church (but I feel in Italy these instructions aren't helpful) sorry!
No worries of course, youre very lucky to have found it and glad you admired that gorgeous view!!!!
In Italy, I think this is called a brioche or cornetto (if you’re not in Northern Italy), rather than a croissant. It’s a small thing, but some Italians tend to get pissed off with that 😂
Ooo thank you for sharing! I value learning the proper terms of the area
you should spend 5 hours a day per 10 years to visit Siena very well.😉 anyway nice video!!
Of course! More time in any destination would help me understand the true essence. Thanks for watching!
where is the bus station for 131 in Florence? s o you just buy the ticket at the station?
I caught the bus at Porta Romana. And bought a ticket at a tobacco shop...although I had a local with me which made it easier to try and ask for a ticket, it was tricky. Don't be shy to ask for help and have cash handy
Yes, prices and how to book please

I bought a ticket to Siena from Florence and I'm supposed to travel there in a few days, but watching videos on CZcams I really didn't get the impression that I should go to Siena at all. I didn't see anything interesting. No tourist attractions, no landmarks. Is it really worth spending 7 hours in Siena, or is it better to spend my time exploring Florence slowly?
I think a day trip is definitely worth it! See if there’s a free walking tour to help learn about the significance of the town. I love Guru Walks for free walking tours! You could also plan to explore, have lunch, explore a bit more and it would be full :)
Mandolins for Siena?? For real ? lmao..
When will you American will undertsand that Italy is not a Holyywood movie of 50s'?
Hey! I’m not sure, I’m Canadian 👋🏻
