- Hello hello!
Today I bring you an ever-chaotic knitting podcast. I have finished up a few objects in the last few months, made good progress on one long-term WIP, and cast on a couple of summer tops. Additionally, I have been spending too much money on yarn (as per usual). What summer projects do you currently have on your needles? What's your favorite summer yarn? Let me know in the comments!

Nimble Needles Norman has few great men's sock patterns.
the fishie is so cute wth 😱😱😱
I cannot recommend this pattern enough, I am obsessed with it
as much as i love tamara’s patterns, i never saw myself making that one until i saw yours and now i need one asap!!!! and i appreciate u making the halibut bc it’s on my need knit list but i’m terrified of it lmao
I love the sweet nothings pattern! It’s so simple and easy to make, it was really relaxing to knit up! The halibut on the other hand… is proving to be a struggle lol
With a nice variegated yarn I'd say knit vanilla or just 2x2 ribbed socks. Let the yarn do the work of being pretty.
I was kinda thinking that too!
Great episode! Glad you didn't have to impale yourself. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Try camping socks by Tania barley! My husband loves them and she has other patterns that would work too.
So cute! I’ll show my boyf and see what he thinks! Thanks for the suggestion 💞
Girl your Podcast is gold😄🧡
I agreeeee
I second this! Its amazing!✨🌟😄
I would say a fantastic sock pattern for variegated yarn is Summer Lee's Mermaid Avenue Socks...as far as men's socks, I like Tin Can Knits Rye Light. They're great. My husband loves the pair I made him ❤️
Really enjoy your podcast! Cheers!
I LOVE the Rye socks!! Gonna have the boyf check them out and see if those are the ones! Thanks for the suggestions!!!
You can never have too much sock yarn
First thing I ever said to you actually
You're so funny!! I cracked up several times watching this. "I'm not putting my feet on the internet... for free" 🤣
Your Halibut sweater is looking amazing, don't be too scared about the yoke mod! After you split for sleeves and join the jumper in the round, you'll be able to tell pretty quickly if the yoke depth is good or not. In the worst case, you'll have to unravel some rows to get back to adjust the yoke depth, but trust me you'd rather do that than have a swoncho lol. (My first ever circular yoke sweater is pretty uncomfortable to wear due to this exact issue).
Good luck with the move! They're never easy 🙏
Thank you so much for the reassurance about the Halibut yolk, this genuinely made me feel a lot better about it! I think I might also put in a lifeline before I split just in case I do need to go back a few rows… thank you so much for being so helpful and nice and encouraging ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
They say to freeze your mohair to make it easier to work with.
I’m gonna try this!!
I‘ve knit 3 Halibut sweaters and am very curious how yours will turn out. The yoke is definitely too long and also, the crew neck shaping seems to be a little off. I still fell in love with the colorwork and will soon knit the Halibut cardigan. 😊
Omg THREE halibuts??? What color combos have you done?? How long did they take?? I’m so impressed
@@thatswhatskeinsaid Oh, thank you! 🥰 I did a black/white one for me and my partner and a dark blue/electric blue one for a friend. Took me ages, haha. Probably 50+ hours per sweater?
Put it over your head and measure it on your body.
