Love that you cast on your striped overload polo. There’s actually a whole CZcams series by spektakelstrik how to knit that sweater from casting on to the raglan increases. But it’s never mentioned anywhere and quite hard to find. And totally get the love for stripes. I have 4 stripy projects in the pipeline, just need to clear my needles a bit. 😊

A safety pin through the holes at the end of cables make fast and easy needle stoppers.

I never thought I was a shawl person either, but I HATE rectangle scarves (at least for now) and then I started falling down a rabbit hole of project photos and now I'm daydreaming about being wrapped head to toe in knits.
