Agnes, you are awesome... Your talks are always exciting, inspiring, genuine, you don't just try to look smart. I wish there were more people like you in academia. I hope I can attend one of your talks in person, and maybe get into a debate, that would be a blast.

Saw you on Meaning of life with Robert Wright and that discussion piqued my interest. At 62 I can look back to when I was 19, (probably the last time I aspired to anything) when I was asked what I saw for my furture. I said I wanted to get a Masters in Meteorology , at the time I was a young Airman in the USAF and was a Weather Observer. 43 years later I have a Maters in Psychology, and 43 years of varied experience Observing and Frecasting weather all around the world (Why was I drawn to two of the most difficult areas to figue out, the Mind and Weather). In the MOL interview you expressed the idea that we really don't know until the end that our struggles were worth it or that we reached some "valued" state. I kind of look back at my life at this point and see not a transformation but a translation with transformational peaks interspersed. I now look forward once again as I set myself to retire fully from my meteorology career and enjoy time with my wife who has endured in a different way the struggle of now 40 years together, while most of the time being apart due to my work. I aspire once again. not for some utilitarian goal but just to be able to look back in 20 years and conclude that I was a better man than I have been to this point. The one constant in my life has always been a quest for knowledge so thanks for everything you do in making your knowledge available for us all.... looking forward to reading more of your work.

I heard about your book from the John Vervaeke podcast. I am mediately bought it and can’t put it down. You articulate so many of my intuition’s perfectly! I hope you keep creating content. I love your work!

As a Philosophy teacher I struggle with these paradoxes. Your alternative seems interesting....

That state of mind sounds a lot like negative capability.
