    Filipino Food:
    1. Adobo
    - No list of Filipino food would be complete without adobo.
    2. Lechon
    - The lechon is the most invited party guest in the Philippines.
    3. Sisig - The crunchy and chewy texture of this appetizer is a perfect match for a cold beer.
    4. Taba ng talangka - The fat of a small variety of crabs are pressed and sauteed in garlic.
    5. Pancit Palabok - The pancit palabok served on most birthday parties oozes with flavors and textures.
    6. Kare-kare - This stew of oxtail has the most delicious sauce made from ground toasted rice and crushed peanuts.
    7. Sinigang - Sinigang is a stew of fish, prawns, pork or beef soured by fruits like tamarind, kamias or tomatoes.
    8. Dinuguan at puto - It may not look appetizing.
    9. Bicol express - A fitting tribute to people who love coconut and spicy food is bicol express, a fiery chili, pork and coconut milk stew.
    10. Balut - No trip to the Philippines would be complete without sampling its famous balut.
    And the list goes on and on. . . . . .
    Good luck, Taz! LOL

Taz! Now that you've eaten north indian food, I really want you to try some south indian food too! I'm from Kerala, so I would recommend so many dishes from my part of the world.
    1. Avial - coconut based vegetable dish, Ver very mildly spiced with a creamy chunky gravy.
    2. Appams and stew - coconut pancakes with vegetable/meat/chicken stew
    3. Fish/ prawns curry - we have an amazing coastline, fish and seafood is readily available and it's very reminiscent of Thai/malaysian/ indonesian type of curries.
    4. Payasam - a sweet dish, a little like rice pudding but made with different ingredients and aromatics
    5. Sulemani chai - if you're a tea person (I'm hoping you are because this is my favourite thing) you will love it. This is from the Persian influence due to trade and other things centuries ago. It's a bit like turkish mint lime tea.
Looooooots more, cos our state is super diverse in terms of culture ( Portuguese, Arab, Persian, Jewish influences all throughout our cooking) and if you need any guidance let me know!

Also..porotta and beef curry mahn!!!! She will miss out on a whole chunk of kerala if she doesn't try it.
      Kappa and fish
And an actual "sadhya" for once
That'd be great if she had it.

@@paulinah9182 sorry but she can't please everyone all the time and as much as I like her videos, as another bengali person this is something I've found super disappointing and irritating about her it's almost like she's embarrassed of her background when she shouldn't be as south asia has such rich and beautiful culture
It's okay if somebody maybe wasn't culturally brought up in life but she clearly was as she's talked about being asian maybe a couple of times and how the food is like comfort food to her as she's grown up with it. but in this video she acts so confused as if she's never eaten this kind of stuff before, I don't know who she's trying to kid 🙄. she literally made a video a few years ago that she's now made private called something along the lines of 'I grew up wanting to be white' so she clearly is ashamed of being bengali which is not okay in my opinion and it's upsetting to witness
no one said she has to make videos ONLY talking about her background but it'd be nice if she wasn't so obviously trying to hide it, like in this video for example she could've casually compared the food to the types of food she's used to as we share similar flavours with indians but no she chose to act dumb

don't get me wrong, i understand that it's irritating, especially if you share the same background.
i also found it a bit weird.
nobody should be ashamed for their heritage, definitely.
sadly, many people still are. racism and "casual" prejudice are still very common; many kids still get bullied for their families' culture.
i personally understand how that makes people afraid of embracing their cultural background.
that doesn't mean that they should feel this this way, not at all. but i understand why this is an insecurity for many people.
i personally would love to learn more about bangladeshi culture and i think it would be great if Taz would talk more about it on her channel.
In the end, we don't know much about her upbringing though and it's her decision whether she wants to embrace her background or not.
