- Just a quick catch up for all you cycling enthusiasts. Monday 8th July 2024 was a perfect day to go out for an impromptu ride into the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where we passed through so many iconic little villages and towns, at one point it felt like we were "Bagging" all of the iconic places as we rolled with the hills through the stunning and picturesque scenery. There's a unique charm and appeal when cycling in the Dales and today we were treated to this in abundance.

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures yes I've been watching parts of them. I don't do prospecting but it's good watch still. I can imagine making these videos is a job in itself especially with all the editing and voiceovers you do. Good to see you back anyway!
It is like having a second job ! but I do enjoy the creativity aspect to it all. I will get back to the cycling videos in the coming months though and thanks once again for sharing an interest👍

Hi Gazza. It's always reassuring to have some low gears to fall back on, especially when you know your going to be up against it on a big ride. The Lakes is second to none. I love it 👍

113 miles is a superb effort, nice to see you both back together. Monday was a decent day to get out , I was too busy but I got the winter bike! out yesterday to do a Garstang to Lytham and along the Fylde coast in the rain. (including a ferry ride) . Enjoy the summer!😊

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures it all comes the same I am just as knackered on the flat probably with constant pedalling and not getting a breather freewheeling. I will try again tomorrow maybe up to Whalley and Downham, weather permitting. Winter bike again.

It stayed dry for me to do the Downham ride via Ribchester and Whalley on the Trek rather than the winter bike! Nice and cool with hardly any wind, so the ride home wasn't the usual torture.

Rest assured I will conitnue to make cycling videos my friend but I am currently getting through a backlog of gold panning videos for my other community of viewers.

I’m up to Ingleton in early September this year.
Thinking about starting from the Lock Stop Cafe at Barnoldswick and onto Wigglesworth and Rathmell.
We hit all them lanes today then over to High Bentham via Eldroth.
The return leg took us on a cracking back lane to Clapham which linked up with the WOTR into Giggleswick....
The list of places was endless.

Ha ha ha, I'm watching the Tour De France now and the commentators have pages of historical information about the chateaus and cathedrals for our entertainment, where as me and Mike. Well Mike, thinks that the Romans built everything during the battle of Hastings 😊

Ey yup local fella , it’s interesting you mention Pendle hill as this morning a tackled both Pendle rd & nick o Pendle unfortunately it was very wet 💦 got soaked but survived ok , that descent north off Pendle is very fast indeed
Hey up 252. That descent either side of Pendle is seriously quick. Take care in the wet buddy👍
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures yeah cheers did do I kept it under 45 but if was dry would easily been 55 , caution & experience was needed today and got back just fine , and that barley climb is a tough steep little bugger 😥
If you plan a ride around that part of the Pennines you can easily do an 8000ft in a ride

Hi Jay, you could try Deda Elementi Handlebar Tape. It comes in a variety of colour and is available from Halfords. It's not going to break the bank either so you could afford to replace yearly if it became tatty.

I didn't take the GoPro out on this ride. Me and Mike just went out for gentle tootle into the Dales and then it became a grand tour.

What is the steepest road in the Pennies?
In my local area I would say that Edgeholme lane near Halifax is right up there. It's ridiculously steep and cobbled.
Must have been about 8 billion cyclists out on Monday 8th July 2024. It was the only day of summer!
I said the same to Mike, there were loads out around Bolton Abbey. And then it absolutely poured it down on Tuesday 😩. We need more sun 🌞🙂
