I Bought the CHEAPEST Front Loader Tractor on Facebook... Let's BUILD A RACETRACK!

- I bought a cheap used Kubota BX2200 front loader tractor, and I LOVE IT! I bought this tractor to build new tracks, maintain tracks, and build jumps. It's one of the smallest tractors available (it looks like a glorified lawn mower), but it's nice and lightweight, nimble, and kinda fast (for what it is).
Thanks for Watching!

"Should we send the TRACTOR, around the grand prix?"
Lol. That is why we watch.
I was waching the head-2-head video and thought about running a mower on the track. It's actually a great idea for several reasons.
1. it clears the racing line of debris
2. If the mower can't drive on it you can't drive a track cart on it;
eg ) If it's un-mowable it counts as a 'crawler' or 'off road' track.
3. it defines the track better.
4. when parts fall off they are much easier to find due to the clean racing line
Guys, can we please have an overhead drone shot of the entire property with trail maps please! It give so much perspective on the tracks👍
x2!
@@nasty2ndgenneon agreed, I think we need all of the circuits in a map.
My drone won't go high enough lolz
@@CarsandCameras nooooooo, what about Google maps?
@@CarsandCameras we are all so desperate for trail maps😭
On the next episode of cars and cameras: “We swapped a V-Twin Predator Motor into our Kubota Tractor!” 😂😂😂😂😂
really works. i have seen a few bigger tractor builds with predators pulling stumps!!!
@topcommentgod
Hey here's a few pics and vids of our dingo go cart
Lol. Do it! Lol. I actually just put a Predator VTwin vertical shaft on my riding mower.
@@destroyshitphillips2574 it works but i doubt a predator could out pull a kubota diesel
You guys should consider putting AG
Tires on the tractor.
Unless you are pulling implements in the dirt like a 'real' tractor, I'd argue the turf tires are a lot better all around. I almost didn't buy my tractor because of the turfs but man I'm happy I have the turf now because it doesn't tear everything up just moving it around.
Tire chains work surprisingly well in the summer too. That's what logging equipment would use.
@@bradley3549 Who cares if the grass gets torn up it's a track mostly...
And a 4' rotary cutter for the three point.
Mekhanic1 in the north where snow is common yes chains are better... but down where they are chains aren’t needed. I’ve never seen loggers use chains down here
Yes, finally the tractor video that we have all been waiting for!!!!!!!!!
It’s the tractor we deserve.
Less than 800 hours!! Keep it minty and itll last thousands
Iv'e got a 2004 Bx2230, almost the same tractor. Small tractor but I've moved many many cubic yards of dirt, gravel. Mowed, plowed, raked, smoothed acres, drilled hundreds of fence post holes, etc, etc. Also put forks on the loader and used as a fork lift. Never has broken. Mine has ag tires. Never gotten stuck, but it does tear up grass. Great little tractor. And if you haven't found out yet, it has a small foot lever on the left side that will lock the rear diff. Helps in soft conditions.
I bought the go kart of tractors! It sure ripped around the Grand Prix!
You guys are crazy. I love it. I think we need a bloopers and blunders episode. Let's see all the crashes and engines go boom 😂😂
I would like to see you guys build and race comparable machines, kinda like a build-off. now, that you have a large property to go ape-shit on, im hoping we can see some close racing from you two.
perhaps kross-kart 2.0 ?
Hmmm... Wonder what those tracks are for 🤔
i encourage you to change the fuel filter on the tractor before injection pump
this
well he did say fuel pump, not injection pump. but yeah.
Fuel filter was replaced immediately before I bought it. Good suggestion though!
@@CarsandCameras Also check whole fuel line for obstructions. Had few machines had clogged fuel mesh in the tank/fuel valve. Usually it was obvious but one case had crap just enough to allow normal fuel flow when in stationary, buut when in driving it moved around and starved engine from fuel. Things you run into with older machinery, though least you can actually problem solve them with out laptop and manufacturers special software you will not get access to...
Add Additive to the Diesel Fuel to kill and prevent Algae Growth (the Slime that clogs the Fuel System).
Modern Diesel Fuel has a tendency to breed Algae which will Rob your Equipment of Power and eventually shut it down.
When I was working at CNH Dealership we treated all Diesel Equipment to try and prevent Algae Growth and future problems.
Get V-tred tires for the tractor, and make banked turns for a few corners. It will not the best upgrade.
After enough laps they'll start to bank on their own! :P
Liked for the banked turns!
At first glance I saw "Let's BUILD A RACETRACTOR!"
Those have a tendency to break the fan for the transfer case on the drive shaft just watch for larger branches I've had to change alot of them out and it's a huge pain
It helps to have the mower deck there. Mine without the mower deck had two fans before I bought the shield. Haven’t had one since.
@@benjammin4456 I've never seen one with the deck actually being used. I had bought 3 or 4 fans before I had an aluminum one made
gaskins garage fair enough. Interesting on the aluminum fan. Has that fan had any issues ?
@@benjammin4456 other then paying to much no its pretty stout
730hrs is just breaking it in
I’m a farmer and laughed when he said that. Glad to see another person that knows that’s nothing.
@@junkhondas481 haha i got the same exact thing with 280 hrs
@@junkhondas481 My 1984 John Deere garden tractor has well over 1000 hrs on it and its gas. They don't make things like they used to
@@junkhondas481 My dad has a 1993 kubota b7100 with almost 8000 hours
@@Roostertailin my 2010 John Deere garden tractor has 430 hours on it and it's already crapping out, in the thick/tall grass it burns oil.
Suggestion for the mower. Thing of the tracks and rest of the property like a golf course. On the high use areas or pretty spots like the track course or by the house/shop mow at your desired level (fair way). And on the outsides of the track or rough spots just mow at the highest level, it should save time, fuel, wear and tear on the mower. Time- mow a little faster b/c the mower is not trying to cut all the grass just give it a buzz cut to even out all the stragglers and won't bogg down the mower as much. Fuel and wear and tear- cutting less grass at one time put less load on the motor and blades, so longer lasting blades and more fuel efficient.
Farming Simulator: North Carolina
Bahahahahaha :)
Carolina???? I could have sworn they lived in north Idaho??
Sweet home north Carolina
Farming 20
Love the drone shots it really shows the different tracks. You guys should do a drone shot and draw a map of each track as you make them and sell them
730 hours is nothing as long as it was properly taken care of
I agree not sure what they paid but seems like a solid unit
yeah I have a deere mower that it 17 years old with 6800 hours on it and it is in a similar condition
As long as the previous owner didn’t unplug the hour meter. Happens all the time.
I have a 78 satoh that has 40 years of daily use worth of hours on it, and it runs fine
You guys really know how to have a blast. Thank you for the amazing videos over the years. They keep getting better and better. I bet if you weild one tube laterally on the back of the dingo, it would help it from shaking around as much.
Good Luck with the Kubota! I purchased a used B2620 with ag tires a few years ago, front end loader used to move and load my junk even to demolish a shed. Added a weight box on the 3-pt attachment to counterweight the stuff in or hung from the bucket. Its cool having a rear tire off the ground. No mower deck needed.
Had one like that, get the more aggressive tractor style tires. Turf tires don't like mud or digging hard. Should be a good work horse for you guys💪👍
Yall should build an asphalt track for the race karts eventually
for some drag racing and slicks lol
Brandon Chas, If you have an extra 50 to 80k dollars to kick in for the start of a 1/4 mile track they would be happy to.
I think you massively underestimate the cost and required work for an asphalt track.
Belly mower for established grass lawns only. Rotary mower for mixed grass/brush/bushes mowing. Good job on keeping the bucket low, you make a huge flipping hazard keeping it high in the air. If you have the quick hitch you can quickly detach the bucket for better visibility when mowing.
Instead of Ag tires, look at the idea of ATV tires. A lot of us up here in the great white north, were running turfs but have switched to ATV tires for best all around tire. have found that Ag tires are to aggressive in the grass mowing side and turfs are not enough on the hills (slippery when wet). Not sure if weight load of this tractor will prevent you from running ATV's with the loader on or not or if size would be an issue, but just a thought. Quite a few people have tossed there turf tires and chains for winter and went with ATV's and never looked back. Just some ideas from the Garden tractor world. Great looking tractor none the less and I'm sure you're going to have a lot of fun with it. Can't waite to see some new tracks.
Cars and cameras "motorplex" I like that
I love the channel keep up the great work guys.
This is so great to watch, so happy for you guys to finally have your own place and for it to be so nice!!!! so look forward to everything youre going to do in the future here!
You'll want r1 tires. Especially If you'll be trying to move dirt and material. The tractor is light enough it wont tear up the grass. I drive a 6000+lb tractor on r1s in my yard all the time.
2nd. 4ft rotary cutter. You barely have enough horse power for one but it will save your mower deck.
3rd. Fill the tires. You are already low on weight and need all the ballast you can get if you do any loader work. The loader wont have much capacity but stability is nice.
Watch out for ticks when working with tall grass and low hanging branches.
Am I seeing tractor pulls on upcoming episodes?? P.S. You look like farmer John!!
Kubota makes a nice little tractor, As much property and mud you have it would pay you to get all tractor lug tires all the way around and take that deck off and get you a brush hog to cut with.
I know all that costs money, I'm just putting it out there..
No insult or hate intended, just a statement. Great work guys, looks like alot of fun getting muddy..
Thanks for all the work and videos.
Towing a section of chain link fencing with some cinder blocks on it is an easy way to grade your track. We also spray weed and grass killer on ours first. Works so good. Try it boys.
I want to see the Miata on the short track
I need to build a lifted one!
When you are out there mowing for hours, wear ear plugs...trust me
This message might not get heard...
👂
What did you say???? I can’t hear uou
Something I over looked for years, now I always wear them
What??...
As yes I am only 13 and any piece of machine I operate I put on head phones...even if I'm just riding my atv around, can tell it has already helped so much with my hearing, I've been mowing since I was 5 and sometimes used ear plugs..wasn't till the past year I've always wear them...I also find it is easier to focous with them on.
The ones I would recommend for a budget is for like $10 you get 60 pairs of ear buds that are 32 decible, my second favorite is the ones with the string...and for real luxry (almost $60) is a head phones with raido (it is very nice for hours on the tractor
For mowing and shenanigans on the Bota, take the bucket off. It takes about 3 minutes and requires no tools to drop. It remounts just as easy. I drop mine all of the time when I know it wont be needed. It changes the whole personality and functionality of the tractor.
I bought a new b2650 last summer and love it. You can't go wrong with kubota. I installed wheel spacers to help with balance and I use industrial style tires, not as aggressive as ag tires but much better then turf tires.
You need a brush hog instead of using that finish mower
Exactly....
Or a flail mower
4 or 5 foot bush hog
"There he is in his natural habitat foraging for food." LMAO
Oh boy, I think this channel just got a lot better with a grooming of the tracks! Tear it up boys
Keep it up! You guys get better and better with every upload. The land, the tractor, all the old builds and the new ones..... keep me coming back every week
Need some drone footage so we can see the map
when you say you bought the CHEAPEST tractor, how much was that? just curious
Yeah, ur gonna defiantly want either a tires or the combo ag/turf tires at the very least. That belly mower is used to cut stuff only about 6 inches tall, above that, as you found, it clogs easy and leaves some grass stalks. A 4 foot bush hog would work better for the tall stuff then run it over with the belly on the next cutting to keep it nicely trimmed. A tip or two if I may about the box blade, it is mostly only for maintaining gravel and dirt tracks and does an amazing job at it, but it really sucks at trying to cut one in. I cut a track in for our family last year using first the bush hog to get the grass down, then took a set of disks to it to really loosen the soil and Choo up the vegetation. I then to an open ended scrape blade set at a slight angle to pile up the dirt on the sides of the track, then took the box blade to smooth everything over after driving over it a bunch to pack the moved soil in. The family loves it, even had the wife on her dingo on it once or twice. Also, the bush hog has been used to cut in around 4 miles of trails on our 400 acre farm and the only thing I have ever found that comes close to it was a forestry bulldozer for making trails.
The last couple seconds at the end is awesome I love y'alls work keep it up.
put some offroad tires on the tractor
GET A PULL RAKE FOR THE TRACTOR... You’ll need it to smooth out new sections of track. GOOD CALL THO!
PS; You can buy Kubota Orange paint at Tractor Supply
R1 or R4 tires will make a world of difference, and will only tear the ground up if it's wet or if you're digging, but that's when they bite and they bite hard. I run r1 tires on a 4wd Massey tractor a little bigger than yours but with a loader also, and spend about 3/4 of the time mowing and is so nice to throw it into 4wd and get out of almost anything with minimal damage. Then there's the diff lock which works for 98% of stuck situations, and then the loader will get you out of 99% of messes.
You nailed the music on this one and great shots of the property with the drone.
When you mow with a tractor tall and tall grass or a riding lawnmower and tall grass you need to have the discharge chute up therefore I will shoot the grass out better and cut better
Unless they have a mulching blade under it. Otherwise correct! Important to use the right blade for open/closed chute.
@@SuperStooges3 but using a mulching blade in tall grass isnt going to go very well
@@MartinRusts yeah that's a good point, I haven't had a tractor sized mower so didnt know if they could get away with it being much bigger and more powerful
I would look for a 4 ft brush hog type mower to do initial exploratory cutting of trail versus using your belly mower. And if you want to jump the creek in the Kubota take the belly mower off.....expensive to repair or replace. Remember the tractor is a TOOL to maintain the property, not a race tractor. That is unless you have a HUGH budget for the show.
What they need is a tow behind rough cut/ field and brush mower then follow it with the belly mower set at max height then finish with the belly mower at desired height spaced over about a week. Also they need some nice v-bar/ag tires for that small machine liquid filled to 75% total volume at 3-5psi in the rear tires... it shouldn't rip up the grass under normal operating conditions but the added weight from liquid filling will make the machine more stable under all conditions especially when you have the loader on because the weight is in the tires themselves at ground lvl ... also the tire filling nearly doubles the traction in any and all terrain conditions and it's a simple inexpensive mod (especially if you live where it rarely ever freezes and can bring it into a heated space on those rare days) can be done with water/washer fluid/beet juice/commercially available liquid tire weight compounds/antifreezes/calcium chloride, steel shot/bee bee pellets/ball bearings/lead shot have also been known to be added for even more tire weight (take it from someone who actually works with machinery for a living in marshy blue clay filled fields) once you fill the tires you'll never want to go back especially with a loader on (and I operate Volvo L350h size loaders so I know the difference between loaded and unloaded tires and It does scale down to the smaller machines too) for example a 23x10.50-12 tire will gain between 60-90lbs just by liquid filling to 75% per tire and because the weight is at ground lvl it significantly lowers the effective center of gravity
16th comment...honestly kids, who cares?
They act like it's some kind of Olympic Event and you get a medal for being first, what a bunch of asstards
Lol.. my thoughts exactly.
Why is it such a big deal to enjoy something someone else has done?
My dad bought a BX1800 new with the same loader. Its paid for itself now like 20 years later. Definitely a quality machine so you will get good use out of it even if the previous owner let it get a little rough.
0:35 "Heavy Equipment" LoL. Awesome. Can't wait to see the new track.
Love My Kubota!!!! Guys gottq ditch those turf tires and get a set of R4’s filled with juice.
Those turfs are really limiting what you can do and how well it does it
Oh man that thing is SWEET!! I need something like that. Seriously, You take care of that tractor and it’ll work like heck for you those are awesome machines.
And it runs so good too!
farmer john n farmer ike tractor race !!!!! awesome lil boto guys dif gets the job done! cant wait to see the track builds a rips! oh nice save on the pole john! huge thumbs up!! keep the good time vids a Rollin!! Peace!
Property and the new home are coming along nicely! If it ever stops raining in the southeast you guys are gonna be able to rip around the tracks! Love it!
road/drive jump RBG style xD thats an awesome touch for flourish for a start/stop lol,
also i think y'all need to look into some more aggressive tires for the tractor, maybe some ag tires might have helped a bit over the "turf saver" A/T tires that are on it, then again, you would have just made it further into the soup before getting stuck, great vid
Looks like the property could use some dirt to elevate and level the driving surfaces above water. Chip n seal gravel would help as well. Look for a local sponsor to offset any costs??? I had 5 acres that I built a go cart track on for my kids. I had similar drainage and water issues. In the end, I had to get dirt (free from a local construction company) to elevate and level the track to drain water, then I rented a front loader that had a water filled compactor wheel on it, and then added chip and seal gravel (donated by a quarry mine company) , which we compacted, and it worked great even with carts with slicks. We did have to add gravel every 3 rd year, but worked great for a decade of fun.
Get AG tires and fill with "beet juice"! Put the heaviest implement you have on the back for loader work! Stay out of the mud (and unless you want to for fun)! Build up low spots! Tire chains are good too, if you don't want to change tires. You can weld them up from scrap if needed!
Very nice guys, very nice. Love the new tractor. Can’t wait to see what the future holds
I can definitely imagine John in the kitchen with his mom cooking up some good ol blackberry cobbler.
I’d recommend looking into R4 tires for that tractor. They can dig into the dirt alright but they don’t beat up the lawn as much as an R1 bar tread tire.
When cutting long grass in unknown ground, keep your bucket level and about 8” above the ground. The bucket will hit rocks or stumps before you hit it with the mower deck.
Have fun with your new toy
On a machine that size keep the bucket no higher than 3 inches off the ground because that's about the highest your deck lift can lift your deck from the ground especially when mowing unknown fields/tall grass as hitting unknown stumps/rocks/debris with that mower deck will destroy the deck and they are very expensive to rebuild/repair/replace
Awesome. Can't wait for more
That cement piland would be an awesome spot for a flagman at the finish line. Make a platform Elevate the fella so he can see the whole track. I am extremely excited that y'all have this new land and property to build and race awesome stuff on! Let's get it man!
This proves we will watch almost anything....... Keep on Keepin ON!
I'd suggest two things. High lift blades for the mower to throw debris off the track and a grass roller to make the track smoother/stand out better on camera.
I worked for a kubota dealership for a long time and that bx2200 was one of my favorites. They are very sturdy!!!
Good to hear a better facility is in the works. A few suggestions; a full bath room ( toilet, shower and a big lavatory or sink) would be a dream come true for you both; some sort of high vantage that would let you see/hear most of the tracks would give you good back up for spills and breakages, and set all the carts and minis up for a dead lift with the bucket so you can take them back to the shop. PS: How is the Bimmercart doing?
Love to see the new tractor! Inspires me to get out and cut some more trails on my land. I have a yerf dog go kart that I run around the woods and in the yard
Great episode guys!! 👍😎
I cant wait to see the first tractor maintenance video! Like new blades and mandels or a tune up
Great video keep up the amazing work
Property looks great, perfect for what you guys do. A new shop? Awww yeah!
The sound of a Kubota diesel engine always makes me happy.
This is what i have been waiting for!!!! Yes! A race track.
thats a great addition to Carandcameras you guys will enjoy the tractor.
Man, the cross cart needs some wheels and tires like that new project truck has. Never realized that till I just saw it sitting next to it, while y'all were talking in your shop. Then the trackion probably it had. When we were looking at how MUDDY 😂 John was. The tires really looking out of place and small. Great show guys, looks fun.
AG tires. oh and get a "High Voltage Above" sign for that field with the high Watt wires 20 feet up. Fun watching the channel grow.
you guys get all the coolest toys, keep up the good work, love the vids
Well it clear that you guy know all most as much about construction equipment as you do about using it. although kudos to Ike for figuring out how to use the bucket to get un stuck in the mud. sell the landscapers kubota and go but a John Deer 1010 bulldozer to clear the top soil and get down to the actual dirt for your track
Long time viewer, first time commenter. Awesome vid. I personally think the cross kart could go for a way bigger set of tires. At least 24" in the rear and 22" in the front. It seems to have the power for it
Suuuper ,i like what you are doing.
It's like your place to have fun
Like a few other comments I've seen, idea recommend a bush hog if you plan on doing any more mowing in taller grass, I see little 48in ones on Craigslist in my are from $250-$800. Those belly finish mowers work but they don't do the best cuts in tall grass but for keeping it up it works great
Guys if i could offer some criticism, the custom frame build are cool but i really like when you guys use to do crazy engine swaps on pre built frames. Or my person fav the 4wd go-cart. Brings me to my second observation; why no 4wd projects?? Thanks for the content!
Some people buy corvettes, others buy boats. John? He bought a tractor. Hell yeah brother!
Very useful piece of equipment guys
Only been raining here 2 plus weeks daily in Rockwell !!! Great jobs fellas
Awesome! My family loves our Kubota. You guys should build a custom brush guard on the front with a winch. Also get Industrial pr AG tires for it, much better traction than those crappy turf tires.
Now finally a functional pocket t! Figured you guys would be the first to make one. A place to put my smokes a support my favorite youtuber
Nice tractor coming together have fun
You guys are killing it! Awesome!!!
Maybe a PTO bush hog? It'll chew threw everything! The mower will get tired pretty quick with that area.
Thanks for the video
That's one hell of a future mud mower. Thanks guys, that was a fun episode!
I dig it! 54 in deck seems small.. but it’s a damn fine tractor!
Pls do. So what you are going to do is dig from the middle and load to the sides. It will make nice banks and inside curbs. Make sure its wide enough to pass.
Hell yeah.
This was awesome guys very cool can't wait for a clean dry run!!!! Is the cross cart starting to have a miss fire ??
get yourself 5 feet or so of chain link fence. with the poles at each end. toss a couple old tires and wheel or cinder blocks on it. drag it behind the tractor using a simple Y harness to the first pole. Itll flatten the ground and rip up the grass and weeds wherever you want a trail.
The music you used during the race, and close is the theme "Jonathan W" uses on his sight as opening theme.Isaac should really watch some. That man takes pieces of rusted sheet steel and turns them into classic street rods etc. Btw;We've been saying 'add fenders' since before you had a mouthful of mud.
One suggestion for the tractor. The mower deck is really not meant for brush mowing. I would try to find a cheap 4ft brush hog somewhere so you can use that instead of the mower deck. I know from experience because I have a tractor just like yours but newer and found out the mower deck is not meant for brush mowing. Anyways congrats on the “new” tractor. They are lots of fun!!
Two things.... get some chevrons for the rear tires if your going on dirt all the time... and you should put that chute up when your in that thick grass so you don’t get those massive rows off grass all over your nice track! Loved the video, looking forward to the track builds in the future!
